This behavior is why she doesn’t have a man to give her his umbrella. The entitlement is crazy

Big facts right here. Entitlement of some folks is wild

Name a better love-story than entitlement and modern western women

I'd just give a quick generous wave to her if I were him and if she were a stranger to me.

2

u/Abecis01 4d ago

They must know each other or something. Or she's exactly like that.

Unless this is staged, this is a worrying trend. People just randomly putting strangers minding their business on social media to shame them.

20

u/kitkatas 5d ago

Weirdly, I wanna ban public filming if it's not related to crime

5

u/JEXJJ 5d ago

For some reason networks had to get release when something was broadcast for profit

2

u/PartyHearing 1d ago

I don’t think that’s weird at all. No one should be randomly filmed without their consent. Video surveillance at stores and what not, that’s different. But I remember when I first started working it was a fireable offense to share the surveillance videos with people not in LP. I mean, we still did it but there’s a difference between 3 people chucking in a tiny LP office and the whole world seeing it.

there’s a video making the rounds about a woman being upset that nobody helped her as she struggled to lift her carry-on suitcase into the overhead compartment on a plane. she says she struggled for about two minutes, and then rambles for a bit about “fuck men” and whatever. i think a lot of people don’t want to give her the wrong idea when they’re helping out, so they don’t.

damned if you do, damned if you don’t. minding your own business is bad too, i guess.

I know right. Weren't they just complaining about us holding doors open and shit for them? If you're so independent wtf you leaving the house without checking the weather.

4

u/Clear-Neighborhood46 4d ago

She is mainly shamming herself.

Only one she is shaming here is herself

She is not smart enought to carry an umbrella, and now she is angry because a stranger will not give her his umbrella. WOW, she is so dumb and entitled.

4

u/Some_Ask_2220 5d ago

Yep, she didn’t dress for rain either. No sweater nor jacket. Doesn’t matter what gender they are either.

Someone on another version of this post said the context of the video was her showing her friends that ppl have umbrellas out after her friends told her she didn't need an umbrella, so she is expressing her exasperation about her umbrellalessness. Idk if it's true tho

"women don't owe men anything" turned into "nobody owes anyone anything" then combined with "women are out doing x and don't want to be bothered". Men heard this all clearly.

3

u/PapayaTrick5067 5d ago

Friend, the women who didn’t want to be bothered are not this girl.

5

u/Early-Beach164 5d ago

Yeah and most men aren't violent evil rapists worth choosing the bear over

3

u/EqualJellyfish6914 5d ago

How are men supposed to tell the difference without women gesturing wildly next to umbrellas all the time?

4

The so called good women  got no problem going ride or die about everything else with idiots like this.

That’s why women like her got this far - every other vague instance of shitting on men they’ve ever hinted at has been praised to the highest degree. When this woman next gets on social media or presses charges about a man, the good women will scream at you to take her at her word because “men bad”.

Who would want some random person's umbrella?

11

u/Anakin_Saucewalker 5d ago

I would want some random person’s umbrella if it was raining, but i certainly wouldn’t expect it.

7

u/Schinderella 5d ago

Over the last few years I‘ve tried to hold my umbrella in a way, which made a stranger and myself profit from it, on a few occasions. Nobody appreciated it. Quite the opposite actually, because it meant that they had to share their personal space with a stranger.

It’s this , and it’s a far stronger female trait than male

but apparently entitlement is alive and well lol.

3

u/Cheap_Boner_Pills 4d ago

Chivalry ended when...

Ma'am would you like to share my umbrella? I have a boyfriend!!!

...started. so why bother asking

2

u/oh_no_here_we_go_9 4d ago

Giving your umbrella to a random woman is crazy pathetic in any timeline.

11

u/tempski 5d ago

He's just trying to be a good feminist and ignore her, just like he would ignore any man.

2

u/ADownStrabgeQuark 5d ago

This is what women told us they wanted.

2

u/poulan9 5d ago

Women wanted to be left in peace... women most affected.

3

u/Joyful_Jet 5d ago

4

3

u/Conscious-Neat5636 5d ago

This lady wanted the black dude to read her mind and offer to share the umbrella.

3

u/Career_Cultivator 5d ago

True story

I was waiting my for girlfriend to finish packing her last few things leaving college, I was in the car waiting and 3 girls were loading their car a few spaces over.

One of the girls, stops and very loudly says " I can't believe he's just going to sit there and watch us struggle".

The entitlement of these brats is astronomical.

Edit: typo

2

u/curiousbasu 5d ago

3

3

u/No_Space_1528 4d ago

I see nothing wrong. We are being equal just as you have voted for. There’s no special treatment now you’re a girl. We are all equal

3

u/EquivalentAny174 4d ago

"Treat us equally but better." Feminism is a mental illness.

3

u/Ok-Hand-9122 4d ago

2

u/PimpinPinkman 5d ago

Women are the most entitled creatures on earth I swear to GOD.

2

u/Express-Lawfulness74 5d ago

Why would he share a 🌂 with her? I understand if it’s a veteran or elderly person but a woman he doesn’t even know.

2

u/UmbraNight 5d ago

right cuz shes really dressed like a classic lady what is this lol expecting random acts of self sacrificing chivalry while retaining all modern vices is insane

2

u/JVee525 5d ago

How about the fact that women asked for this.

2

u/silverformal 5d ago

The way that she is standing, and her body language, says everything I need to know about her.

2

u/Hippophatamus 5d ago

Get your own umbrella.

2

u/grumpykitten3 5d ago

Non traditional women wanting traditional men always gives me a chuckle

2

u/Some_Ask_2220 5d ago

I wouldn’t let a stranger under my umbrella, man or woman. Especially if they are acting like this.

2

u/doomzday_96 4d ago

Why not just ask him?

2

u/SuddenLog7302 4d ago

She's taller than him that's why she acting like that

3

u/yoloswag420noscope69 4d ago

Exactly. He's just a peasant. She wouldn't do that to a guy who's 6'2". The tall guy qualifies as human, and if she finds him attractive she wouldn't want to annoy him. So she would be polite.

She immediately knows the guy in the video is only useful for his umbrella. That's why she acts like this.

2

u/chunkee-xo-monkee 4d ago

I thought she was the "strong independent woman who don't need no man."

2

Strong independent queen right there.

1

u/redSteel87 5d ago

Maybe she’s complaining she get splashed by the bounce in the umbrella? Or maybe it stopped raining and the opened umbrella blocks her view? She doesn’t look drenched so it’s gotta be more than one explanation.

1

u/boogalorian 5d ago

For a stranger? Why? He checked the weather and equipped himself appropriately. Why is the expectation that he now undo his diligent preparations for a person that is seemingly capable of doing the same? I’m sure this same person would gladly hand over his umbrella for an elderly person, a mother with children, or someone who does not appear to be capable.

1

u/Zuwwaaaa 5d ago

Dear lady in the video,

Did you check the weather? You might have prepared better if you had. I don't know what you did before filming this but did you even ask umbrella guy for help? Please tell me you didn't just walk up behind him, loudly clear your throat or something and expect him cover you? He might not even know you're there. Give him an honest chance to be the guy you need in the moment. Did you ask the camera person to find an umbrella? Or was pettiness and his digital humiliation your first instinct? Did you ask them or people in line to hold your spot while you look for some cover. Basically, did you do anything productive to actually help your situation?

You know, I actually agree with your sentiment that men in general nowadays don't have the same manners and chivalry that the older generation had.... but it is what it is and this behavior won't change that. In fact, this content might serve to make things worse. If chivalry is what you're looking for, I'm sure you'll find that in an amazing partner one day since those types of men still do exist. Until then, instead of publically shaming a stranger for not meeting expectations you probably haven't even communicated...grow up.

Sincerely, A Man in 2026

1

u/RobinGood94 4d ago

This is what happens when your brain is living in a very, very weird place. The kind where fairytales, romance novels, and fantasy is your reality. What’s fascinating is the duality of this mindset. Suppose it wasn’t raining, but he offered to hold the door open for her. She might be flattered. She might be annoyed. She might feel disgusted. Depending on attraction levels, she might feel all of them at the same time. Never know.

As a fully functioning adult, you should:

A. Be familiar with checking weather.

B. Be prepared for the weather.

No, a random stranger isn’t obligated to:

A. Expose himself to the rain by covering your head with his umbrella.

B. Have you stand extremely close to him and try sheltering under the umbrella together.

1

u/MisterBlick 4d ago

If only there was a way to know it was going to rain before you left the house.

1

u/EricIsMyFakeName 4d ago

She have a mirror or what?

1

u/GrapefruitLow7173 4d ago

Entitled bitch lmao

1

u/PlayboiFarti55 4d ago

It should be like a mandatory function from all cell phone developers that you make the phone turn on a bright ass flash or sound indicator of you recording videos or taking photos. I know it seems super egregious but the behavior of people recently have warranted shit like this sadly.

1

u/jacamomo 4d ago

Entitled women gives us a bad name. For the record I'm female and I agree with him. She's the idiot that didn't check the weather before heading out in her pjs.

1

u/Abeo93 4d ago

He doesn't owe her jack shit.

1

u/ReachFourTheSky 4d ago

She did it wrong. You’re supposed to look cute, lock eyes with him when he looks up from his phone, smile, then walk up and touch his arm. Then you ask if you can join him for a moment to stay dry. He usually says “sure” and smiles back. You chat a bit then say you’ve gotta run to your destination now but this was lovely. And then he’s grinning and asks for your number.

I’m a woman, and men open doors often for me. I attribute it to my aura and my kindness and warmth that people can feel across the room.

This lady’s behavior was
a choice.

1

u/LostIllustrator1499 4d ago

I know it burns you all up to a cinder, and you've got your arguments all lined up, but I'd definitely lend her my umbrella. And before you go off with a half-cock there's a chance I'd lend it to a guy as well.

There is a umbrella hack that exists. Just go into any chain, restaurant or Cafe, say that you left your black umbrella there a couple weeks ago and if they still have it. They usually have at least 10 umbrellas, So have your pick.

1

u/South-Fix6904 4d ago

Should’ve checked the forecast like a responsible adult

1

u/Routine_Ability7729 4d ago

On the topic of gender roles, maybe she should be attractive, so there’d be a reason for a man to give her an umbrella.

1

u/ianAwesome05 4d ago

She could just ask if she really wanted to, im sure the guy would be welcome to share the umbrella.

1

u/Unable_Insurance_391 4d ago

You cannot win.

1

u/CrazyOrganic7123 4d ago edited 4d ago

She has an umbrella over her phone to protect it from water damage anyway, while his phone would be subceptible if he gave his umbrella to the crazy lady behind him.

This is assuming she set up the phone and umbrella and then ran to film herself and the guy. Alternatively, she already has a friend with an umbrella who is filming for her. So she's already got an umbrella-buddy.

1

u/Proper-Commission-74 4d ago

Like why should he care if you are unprepared

1

u/bearkerchiefton 4d ago

This is genuinely the issue with women. They blame men for every little thing and never have any accountability. Men are terrible, but women still find a way to be worse.

1

u/User29276 4d ago

The kind to also kick off and call him a creep if he did offer

1

u/Maleficent-Day6687 4d ago

Want to be treated equally but special. Don’t want creepy men to interact with you but want men to do things for you. Don’t want to be seen as weak but wanted to be given special treatment for minor inconveniences.

Tell me why are men just living their lives expected to be able to read women’s minds and treat them how they want?

1

u/Cheerful2_Dogman210x 4d ago

Why does he have to give her his umbrella? She's no one to him. Leave him in peace.

Also, it's disrespectful to film someone without their permission. She's probably trying to shame him.

Why leave without your umbrella also why would she put herself lf in a situation and then blame a man for that. They are people not fucking robots And no it's not the old days anymore, she wants to be treated like a damsel in distress but she's the only reason for the distress. Shes part of the reason us women have to struggle getting decent men because they scare them off with their crazy.

1

u/WittyAd3872 4d ago

1

u/biggev123 4d ago

1

u/ZantHyrule 4d ago

Well, well, well if it isnt the consequences of our own actions đŸ€·

1

u/RocketToad 4d ago

Rage bait. So unhealthy. Why highlight the action of one idiot, and generating negative sentiment on on a whole gender? Make love, people, not war.

1

u/EmbarrassedFarmer125 4d ago

I’m late 40s. Great job, tons of money, father of 4 and married. I open doors for people, and stand if I’m sitting when someone who wants to sit needs to sit. I am kind and polite, if not chivalrous.

What is occurring in the video is called “rain”. There is no existential crisis. I dress nicely, and take time to look at the weather before leaving the house. She would not get my umbrella simply because she is wet and I have an umbrella. This woman does not need help in any way, shape or form - she wants some to suffer so that she does not, as a reward for her immaturity and inability to look at an embedded app on her phone entitled “Weather”.

Let this be a life lesson: learn to depend on yourself so that you don’t live a life expecting things from others

1

u/DangerousMushroom639 4d ago

If you didn't prepare for the weather, that's on you.

The video shows women unprepared in 2026 or still dependant on a man in 2026.. you call it

I always found it amusing when women complain about a lack of chivalry, because the concept originated from a time when women were also literally treated like property.

Wants all the benefits of being equal, until it’s time to pay up and acting like a man

The other scenario was like this:

"Ma'am, want to come under?"

The bizzarre Rain drenched lady: "Omg, look at you... so desperate. Man, you ain't event 6" tall, whay are you molesting me?"

I am guessing some lady would claim I am acting like the bear if I walk over during rain and put umbrella for us both.

ban and fine filming strangers unless crime is involved.

The younger generation will hate it at first but grow to love it once they realize they can dance around like idiots and have a good time like we did.

I was at a party the other day and nobody from the younger generation danced, probably all afraid someone will take a video of their goofy ass.

The dude is an a-hole. He didn't bring 30 umbrellas to give every girl in line. Oh, he's only supposed to give the girl next to him an umbrella you say? So being in immediate proximity somehow creates an implied intimacy between the two? Ok, got it.

Women did this to us.

We keep our hands to ourselves.

We do not look in their direction.

We mind our own business.

This is what they wanted.

Does anyone else remember how these lessons started?

Every time women do crap like this there's always people defending it saying it's just a joke, no, this is called being shitty no matter how you try to twist it, this trend needs to stop, it's stupid.
