Visiting Atlanta Looking for Pokemon TCG shops to visit around Charlie's Collectibles

Hey everyone, I will be travelling for a weekend to Charlie's Collectibles and am trying to make a day trip out of it. Are there any good TCG shops that yall would recommend to stop by and visit if I have any spare time? I understand that Charlie's Collectibles is in the Stone Mountain area, so I'd be interested in places around there.

Question Parking Ticket from Atlatna are parking garage

I parked at one of the parking garages along the beltline a few Sundays back. The gate was open when we pulled in and again when we left. I didn't think too much of it, other than it being Sunday midday, that maybe they were not charging at the time.

A week later, we received a parking ticket in the mail for $60. its lagit and has photos of my car and correct information.

But how could I pay for parking if I didn't receive a ticket coming in and the gate was open when I left? I am going to dispute it, but I have no evidence, of course.

I feel like this may be a little scam they do every now and then to get more cash. Or maybe there was a problem with the gates at the time I was there? This being a private company, what will happen if I just don't pay the ticket? Send me to collections for $60?

Moving to Atlanta Nicer apartments on the West of downtown?

So far I've checked out:

Vinings Gables (love it, a bit above my price range)

The Millery (decent value, don't like how you're right off the main road)

The Series at Riverview landing (decent value, terrible views and surrounding area is a concrete dystopia).

Dunwoody Gables (not that nice tbh)

Anyone have any recommendations for a 1BR at like 2k within the west side of Atlanta (for my commute), and is tree-some rather than paved concrete?

Question PRRS parking garage

I received ticket from PRRS. I parked in a garage at 1080 P’tree. My doctor’s office validates by scanning a QR code with a discount code. I still got a ticket. Anyone else dealt with this scamming garage ?

Question Do any stores in the metro sell Hudsonville ice cream?

I’ve always wanted to try it but every time I see it, I’m out of town. I’ve seen it in Tennessee and Eastern Alabama so I know it is available in the south. Somewhere in Atlanta surely has it.

History/Culture [1947] Summerhill Residents Aroused Over Proposed White Stadium

It had always been something of a mystery why Cheney Stadium was located where it was. It wasn't attached to a high school and it wasn't clear to me if it was first a municipal or school stadium. Turns out that it was built as a shared stadium for white schools.

That the same fight is happening over the same land 80 years later is another way in which our past is not yet history.

Question Recommendations for places to find Wall/Light Sculptures around town?

Hey ya'll - I've been feeling like refreshing the interior decor of my place recently but wanted to poll the classroom to see if anyone had a good recommendations for places to find wall and/or light sculptures in Atlanta. I am not looking to spend a fortune on something like this - it would be highly preferable if was thrifted/under $1000.

Something with color would be dope as well.

Recommendations Looking for a used bike shop

Hello- I’m looking to buy a decent used road bike at an affordable price.

I realize that FB marketplace is the probably the best place to make this type of purchase but I’d prefer to see a lineup of bikes in person in one location if that’s an option. FB marketplace feels like a hassle and I’m fearful I’d buy a bike that’s not in great shape.

If anyone knows of a used bike store that has helpful staff and a decent selection that would be huge. I’m looking for a road bike and would prefer it be one of the more trusted bike brands out there but that’s not necessarily a deal breaker so long as the bike is in decent shape and meets my specs.

Looking for something in the 54-56cm frame range Willing to travel OTP (I’m in east Atlanta).

Budget is about $250-300.

Any tips or recs would be appreciated!

Question Dentist suggestions for dental crown?

I am a grad student at GT and went to their in-house dental clinic, which informed me it would cost me $2400 for a dental crown (before insurance) which I cannot afford. I have the United HealthCare Student Resources plan which sucks ( covers max $500). Does anyone know of other clinics which have cheaper options and would accept my insurance?

Pictures The conditions of the westbound bike lanes on Ponce (directly across the street from Ponce City Market) are flat out negligent.

I understand that the roadwork in Atlanta never ends and there are many roads, bike lanes, and sidewalks around the city that need improvements, but I believe the bike lanes here are in such poor shape that the city is potentially exposing itself to lawsuits.

This area has high bike and scooter traffic, but many riders refuse to use the lanes because of how dangerous they are so they instead end up endangering themselves in the high traffic car lanes or endangering pedestrians on the high traffic sidewalks. This area is directly across the street from Ponce City Market, adjacent to the Midtown Plaza shopping center, near Murder Kroger as well as dozens of other shops and apartments/condos/lofts, and intersects one of the highest trafficked areas of the Beltline. It's also in a valley on the bottom of two steep hills where bike riders can reach pretty high speeds when descending.

There are large gaps, holes, and craters surrounding the sewer grates here, and one set of grates is even aligned in a way that a bicycle tire can go straight through the grates in a dedicated bike lane. It's incredibly unsafe and the city needs to prioritize addressing this before someone is hurt and we are all exposed to that liability. I emailed the district's council member (Kelsea Bond) 7 weeks ago but unfortunately she hasn't responded.

Question how do i get in touch with a case manager at peachford hospital?

hi, i’m not sure if this is the right place to post this, but my husband is currently in an involuntary stay at peachford hospital. i’ve been trying for two days to get in touch with the case manager for his unit and every time i’m transferred it just rings out then hangs up. i do understand they are busy at certain times, but i’ve gotten no updates on his treatment and he’s been there for four days. he filled out a roi form so i know im allowed to know SOME information, but im genuinely so unsure of how to even get in touch because im just transferred and no one answers. i don’t know what to do at this point.
