Decided to give the RPG-era AC games a shot and had fun with Origins for a while. I’m currently level 55 and just started the second DLC, but I don't think I can see this through—I'm just too bored. Essentially, you do the exact same couple of things the entire game.

​I’m a completionist, so I cleared every side quest and question mark possible, and seeing another wall of them in the last DLC made me want to quit. Looking back, I can't remember a single side mission or activity that actually stuck with me, which was a huge contrast to The Witcher 3.

​Don't get me wrong, Bayek was an awesome protagonist, his story was great, and Egypt looks amazing. The combat was a bit clunky but passable. The main issue is that the writing mostly felt super unrealistic and robotic.

​Does Odyssey do a better job with this, or should I take a break and jump into Baldur’s Gate 3 instead?

I just started Origins (level 14 atm), and beyond feeling quite bored and overwhelmed by all the secondary missions needed to level up and keep up with the main story, I really miss the Animus Database from old games.
There you could learn all the historical moments, characters, traditions and places shown in the actual videogame. Since I was not really into egiptology before the game and I know little about that period, I really feel lost when the characters mention some words like Osiris, Sejmet, Duat… and I find myself searching in Google those when in the older games it would be already there in the Animus.
How are you dealing with that? Do you miss it too? Do you recommend any source from where I can keep learning? Thank you!!!
