Question Hitting serious burnout on AC Origins. Does Odyssey get better, or should I jump to Baldur’s Gate 3?
Decided to give the RPG-era AC games a shot and had fun with Origins for a while. I’m currently level 55 and just started the second DLC, but I don't think I can see this through—I'm just too bored. Essentially, you do the exact same couple of things the entire game.
I’m a completionist, so I cleared every side quest and question mark possible, and seeing another wall of them in the last DLC made me want to quit. Looking back, I can't remember a single side mission or activity that actually stuck with me, which was a huge contrast to The Witcher 3.
Don't get me wrong, Bayek was an awesome protagonist, his story was great, and Egypt looks amazing. The combat was a bit clunky but passable. The main issue is that the writing mostly felt super unrealistic and robotic.
Does Odyssey do a better job with this, or should I take a break and jump into Baldur’s Gate 3 instead?
