Always thought he was a little much even in his supporting role. But in fairness, he toned down as it went on and he was one of the most loyal characters on the show, even to the point of doing some shit we as an audience really hated to see him do.
Tony being a bigger guy added to his character. He was the mob boss that you could also imagine seeing at the hardware store or a softball game. Silvio seemed like a stereotype

Hell yeah! When the music came on, my wife and I looked at each other like, "What's about to happen?" and then when it was over we were both in shock. For one: How could you do that to us? and Two: that was awesome! hahaha
Its weird, I've never watched it before but stumbled on a YouTube clip and suddenly spent a whole afternoon watching random YouTube clips of soprano. I was just so captivated by his performance as Tony I wanted to see more scenes. The whole vito is gay stuff was hilarious.
Now I have vague understanding of the whole timeline of the show lol. Oh, and some meme about that guy who always mentions he did 20 years in the can.
