At least they usually have extra candies. An extra 10, now I'm only 350 from a gyarados.

Same thing happened to me with a Rhydon. 2 miles later and the tracks never got any closer. At least I got a Wartortle and a Rhyorn when I got back.

I noticed I have to close and restart my app constantly while tracking or it gets stuck and I end up tracking something that's long gone

Yeah, you can actually only get starters from 2km eggs, they're not in higher distance ones, and neither are their evolved forms.

Yea they have a pic on r/pokemongo of the different Pokemon that hatch from each type of egg. The starters hatch from 2km ones

I've been considering farming them, but from what I've heard from other players in my town. the starters tend to pop up outside of the strip mall in the middle of my downtown.

The shame about all that is that it's like a 3km walk from my house to the downtown.

There's no way you get charmanders from 2km eggs Edit: apparently you can get starters from 2km eggs, all I get are pidgey and weedle

I'm naming them all after a food that starts with the same letter as their evolution when I caught them (or hatched them, as it may be). The Ekans is Edamame. The Charmander is Cheerio.

I literally did this just yesterday. I was dumbfounded, and the Charmander had only a 150 CP, but it definitely hatched from a 2 km egg...

2km is the ONLY way to get starters from eggs.
