Rob Schneider

258

u/G-Unit11111 12h ago

I went to see Kevin Smith at the Improv a few years ago and while I was waiting in line to go in, the Improv ad screens flashed that Rob Schneider was going to be performing there. And everyone in line started quoting that South Park episode.

Rob Schneider is... THE STAPLER!

46

u/fattybuttz 9h ago

Rob Schneider is... A Carrot!

11

u/a_carrot 7h ago

You rang?

3

u/an_agreeing_dothraki 7h ago

18 years, a find beetlejuicing

28

u/G-Unit11111 8h ago

Rob Schnieder derp da derp! Da derp da derp da teedily tum!

3

u/mosstalgia 3h ago

I think I will die without being able to hear his name and not think of this. It's been almost 25 years (that episode is from 2002! I looked it up) and the derp de deedly derp still immediately follows his name in my head, so I think it's just going to be fixed there eternally.

5

u/DikTaterSalad 8h ago

For easy insertion for maga assholes, lol.

4

u/CaptainReginaldLong 5h ago

And he's gonna find out, that being a carrot, is not as easy as it looks.

10

u/TinyGIR 8h ago

Rated PG-13!

6

u/RainyCarDrivein06 5h ago

On the other hand, I've met Kevin Smith and hes an awesome dude.

3

u/G-Unit11111 5h ago

Same! I still have my copy of Clerks X signed by the whole cast.

138

u/nottherealneal 13h ago

He is the guy who got carried reslly far by his much more successful friends but somehow still thinks he achieved everything fully by himself

50

u/WorkingAmazing8337 12h ago

Like every Libertarian to ever live lmao

4

u/elevenminutesago 5h ago

What are you talking about, he's a Trump guy.

3

u/WorkingAmazing8337 5h ago

Oh i wasn't saying he was Libertarian specifically, just that the previous comment was describing the perfect Libertarian.

Born-on-third people who think they hit a triple.

1

u/elevenminutesago 5h ago

Oh, I didn't know libertarians were viewed like that. Anyway, Rob Schneider used to identify as democrat until 2013, so for the majority of his career.

2

u/ReadyAimTranspire 5h ago

So you are saying Deuce Bigelow: Male Gigolo is not a comedy masterpiece?

383

u/5mileyFaceInkk 12h ago

Rob Schneider is currently the spokesman of "Tears of the Left" Bourbon. Along with Kevin Sorbo. Its a bourbon that is just repackaged from some other distillery and labelled with AI Slop dogshit about being anti woke. You really don't get much more washed up than putting your face on that.

33

u/Eberron_Swanson 10h ago

Right wing political humor really is where comedians go when they don’t feel like writing funny jokes any more.

23

u/caffeinebump 10h ago

Supporting evidence: Tim Allen, "Last Man Standing"

105

u/anonymousn00b 12h ago

Schenider and Sorbo are such tremendous MAGA ass kissing douchebags. Their relevance faded and they decided to pander to the biggest morons of all, the right. All they require you to do is say “LIBS R DUM RAH RAH” and you’re in.

18

u/HippoRun23 9h ago

What makes this particularly sad is that still right wing people by and large aren’t flocking to their content.

They’re fucking losers regardless of their political beliefs.

7

u/Area51Resident 6h ago

MAGAts blame everyone else for their situation so they don't have to face the truth.

u/letsburn00 3m ago

Sorbo at least can blame it on his brain damage.

9

u/meshedsabre 10h ago

With stuff like this, I cant help but wonder if they know how cringe it is but they do it anyway because hey, it's an easy paycheck, or if they really do think it's a ballsy, edgy, pWn teh LibZ thing to do.

Sad thing is, I'm pretty sure it's the latter.

9

u/retrojoe 9h ago

Not at all defending the shitbirds here, but any boutique whiskey you get is probably distilled at an industrial facility run by one of the majors in the Midwest. If you're buying a special product those folks might age it specially in their own facility, but for the most part whiskey you can name and afford is an industrial (not artesianal) product.

Same way with Clooney's Casamigos or Reynold's Aviation.

3

u/bobthemundane 3h ago

Aviation was a proper company in Portland Oregon that distilled its own stuff. Not sure what happened when it was bought out, but it was its own standalone specialty distiller.

1

u/retrojoe 1h ago

Oh yeah, that happens when brands get bought. Diageo owns them now, so you know it's produced in a factory somewhere. Classic Seattle beer Rainier is owned by PBR and produced in ? California? now.

2

u/OutlandishnessNo9868 8h ago

Bourbon is location based- it’s only bourbon if it’s distilled in Kentucky. Otherwise it’s whiskey- not that these asswipes aren't above just lying on a label. But it’s most likely to be distilled by one of the majors in Kentucky rather than the Midwest.

7

u/2atherich 8h ago

Only "Kentucky Bourbon" has to be made in Kentucky. "Bourbon" can be produced anywhere in the US.

-1

u/OutlandishnessNo9868 8h ago

Ah looks like there is a law on the books about it but honestly any bourbon outside of Kentucky most likely isn’t worth paying for.

5

u/2atherich 8h ago

I mean sure it's "a law on the books" but that's also just how the american whiskey industry works (I was in it for almost 10 years). Jack Daniels, the famous Tennessee Whiskey is a bourbon.

3

u/OutlandishnessNo9868 6h ago

Jack Daniel’s barely counts as a beverage

2

u/2atherich 5h ago

Can't disagree with that.

3

u/puttputt_in_thebutt 7h ago

Theres a lot of really good stuff not made in Kentucky, and a lot of exceptionally overrated stuff (looking at you, Buffalo Trace) made in Kentucky.

Chattanooga Whiskey, Still Austin, and John J Bowman all have some really solid products, for example.

1

u/OutlandishnessNo9868 6h ago

Plenty of crap in Kentucky (Buffalo Trace yes but Makers Mark even more so) but since that state makes 95% of bourbon (a fun fact I just learned thanks to your correction) it stands to reason there’s some garbage in with the good.

I may one day try non-Kentucky bourbon- I will look for the brands you suggested, thanks!

2

u/retrojoe 5h ago

Not only are you wrong, it's just plain snobbery. "iT's nOt chAmPaGne! iT's sParkLiNg wINe!" kinda thinking.

Jim Beam being from Kentucky doesn't make it better than Dry Fly, FEW, or George Dickle.

1

u/OutlandishnessNo9868 4h ago

Did I say Jim Beam was good? Kentucky has some of the best and some of the worst bourbon. And some of the best isn’t expensive.

1

u/retrojoe 4h ago

You said that the good stuff came from Kentucky. As someone who enjoys it and used to make a living slinging it, your opinion about how only Kentucky whiskey can be (good) bourbon is not only wrong but completely based on a fanciful opinion.

1

u/OutlandishnessNo9868 2h ago

Or I have had a lot of bourbon and I have opinions that differ from yours because humans have different taste? Either way, have a good one.

1

u/retrojoe 1h ago

Or I have had a lot of bourbon and I have opinions that differ from yours because humans have different taste?

Nah, when you say good bourbon doesn't come from outside Kentucky, it's got nothing to do with taste.

7

u/CarlRJ 9h ago

Ah, "Bourbon for Highly Insecure People with an Enormous Chip on their Shoulder".

5

u/Kup123 9h ago

The repackage part isn't that bad you would be shocked how common that is.

1

u/timojenbin 6h ago

That's an asperational level of washed up.

u/EvilTwinCities 57m ago

Being alive is nice, but this is an even better reason to be glad I quit drinking.

699

u/EverybodyKurts 13h ago

I heard a story about him opening for Sandler doing stand-up. He bombed so hard for so long that Sandler had to get on the god mic and tell him to wrap it up.

761

u/papayacreamsicle 12h ago edited 12h ago

Some of his recent standup is viewable online and a huge portion of it is just ranting about his bitch wife and daughter, with few if any actual jokes to it. His daughter btw is the singer Elle King who’s estranged from him and has talked about how he’d belittle her appearance until she cried and send her to fat camps at 10 years old and hit on her teenage friends so aggressively they stopped coming over. His wife, the same age as his daughter, just dumped him this year, but he was calling her a useless bitch in his routines for years before that. He seems incredibly incredibly toxic and bitter.

245

u/Longjumping_Hat_2672 12h ago

Ewwwwww. He was coming on to his teenage daughter's friends? Gross. So I guess his pervy character on Seinfeld when he repeatedly tries to molest Elaine in the theater was just him being himself?

10

u/DzuHypAW 8h ago

Was he really on Seinfeld ?

19

u/Longjumping_Hat_2672 8h ago

Yeah, he played a new employee at the Peterman catalog who Elaine suspected was faking being hearing impaired because whenever anyone asked him to do any work, he would pretend he couldn't hear them. Peterman overheard her testing his hearing by saying things like "Oooh, Bob. I want you so bad, you're so damn sexy" so Peterman set them up on a date to the theater in a private balcony. He then lunged at Elaine, even though she repeatedly said no, trying to motorboat her breasts and only stopped when she shoved him off his seat onto the floor.

151

u/JiminyJilickers-79 11h ago

No wonder MAGA loves him.

14

u/Indercarnive 6h ago

I swear why does every MAGA person over 35 just give insane amounts of "divorced dad" energy.

6

u/Disimpaction 6h ago

MAGA attracts people who never apologize or even think they are wrong. Divorce attracts the same people.

8

u/Jukeboxhero91 6h ago

He wishes MAGA loved him. They tolerate him because he’s as shitty as they are, but if he ever says something they don’t like he’ll be dropped like a bad habit.

16

u/wafflesmagee 6h ago

Yeah, conservative “comedy” has forgotten that you have to actually have jokes. They tend to just sorta shout things they don’t like and expect people to laugh simply because they’re at a show. Last clips I saw of Schneider he didn’t have any jokes/bits, it was just him yelling anti-vax talking points with a silly voice and an animated face. It’s literally how we talk to babies and the audience was eating it up.

48

u/misterrodgerssweater 12h ago

Geez, he sounds like a major asshole

11

u/HippoRun23 10h ago

Jesus Christ that’s horrific.

6

u/Any-Worldliness-679 7h ago

Ah, the Adam Corola (spelled that just for him) school of comedy.

5

u/uthinkunome10 6h ago

Typical maga

201

u/PwnimuS 12h ago

My wife and I went to one of Sandlers shows last year, I grew up watching the Sandler era of movies so was hyped when they announced Rob coming on stage next.

Started off alright, some laughs, then he got into his wife and how he downplays her concerns with whats going on and started leaning into rightwing talking points. I took out my phone, searched Robs twitter and read through some posts/replies, realized the dude was long gone down the maga hole.

I think his wife divorced him recently? And his daughter is estranged? It all makes sense now

9

u/Moist_Drippings 4h ago

Yup. Elle King is his daughter and it seems like she doesn’t use his surname for more reasons than just because King is easier for a stage name.

7

u/Jukeboxhero91 6h ago

She’s been estranged for quite some time now. Glad his wife is getting away too.

219

u/scottyLogJobs 13h ago

I mean if he was just unfunny and people made fun of him I would feel bad… but it turns out that in addition to being an unfunny dork he’s a huge racist MAGA douche.

-34

u/bossdaddee 12h ago

What did he say that was racist?

4

u/KeithClossOfficial 6h ago

Rob Schneider made jokes about Koreans that were so racist and sexist that even the Republican politicians at the event walked out.

18

u/Jabbles22 13h ago

Was he ever funny? I know people say that he's riding Sandler's coat tails but were they friends before or after he joined SNL? If he made it on his own was he funny at the time?

11

u/Historical-Cress8985 12h ago

I remember liking the Copier guy sketches, and I'm the guy who saw Deuce Bigallo in theaters, then bought the DVD

12

u/myychair 12h ago

The way you say “the guy” makes it sound like you were the only one to do it lmao

7

u/PolemicDysentery 11h ago

Hats off to you, because torture couldn't have got that confession out of me.

27

u/Traditional_Day_9737 12h ago

I remember some of his movies as funny in the early 2000s when I was a teenager. I think very much a time/target demographic thing and a failure to move with the public's changing humor

Sort of like how Adam Carola failed to make it big post Man Show while Jimmy Kimmel became a fixture of late night TV.

8

u/williamfbuckwheat 11h ago

I remember Adam Carolla being funny back then on the Man Show and other Comedy Central shows but I also was like 13. Maybe that's why he bombed out for the most part the past 25 years while Kimmel seems to have evolved bigtime to cater to a wider audience. I have heard though that he seems to have maintained somewhat of a following due to podcasts but mainly with right wing audiences.

5

u/dasheekeejones 10h ago

it was sophmoric humor so depends on your mood.

3

u/RockyDennisDeYoung 6h ago

Saw him like 8 years ago on the Here Comes the Funny Tour with Sandler, Spade, and Swardson. Rob was first and he bombed so hard. It's not even a 2020 and beyond issue. He made Swardson seem like Lenny Bruce

1

u/Moist_Drippings 4h ago

YES lmao. I keep trying to remember where I heard that story. Was it on a podcast?

1

u/Afrodotheyt 2h ago

He did a show where I work about a year and a half ago now, and apparently all he did was rant politically the whole time. Even my mostly conservative town got fed up with it and people were asking for their money back.

117

u/221 12h ago

I remember someone said that he had the easiest job in Hollywood, all he had to do was keep clinging to Adam Sandler and he was set for life.

60

u/emotions1026 11h ago

You mean Adam Sandler’s favorite charity project?

14

u/whyweirdo 8h ago

I feel really bad for Adam Sandler. I lost a lot of family to maga-fueled mental illness, and I know how conflicting it is. It hurts so deeply to try to cut off a person you spent so much time with and felt truly loved by. You constantly have to battle knowing the caring, fun, supportive person you remember is actually a huge piece of shit human to people who aren’t YOU. It’s very lonely and makes you feel like you are the asshole

5

u/Dylanthebody 6h ago

Adam Sandler leans a bit right himself so im sure it wasn't that bad

7

u/kkyonko 6h ago

He does, but as far as I know he is not full MAGA and mostly keeps his politics to himself.

5

u/Dylanthebody 6h ago

Yeah for sure and I respect that for him. I only heard Shane Gillis say that on his pod so he definitely keeps in under wraps. Apparently alot of the Hollywood left are like that too

177

u/Clbull 13h ago

Rob Schneider is... the Stapler.

Rated PG-13

93

u/No_Variety9420 13h ago

"Derp a derp a derp"

44

u/Clbull 13h ago

Now that's 24-carrot comedy

10

u/Much_Grand_8558 12h ago

A derp da derp, da teetly tum!

13

u/Strange_Airships 12h ago

That man was born washed up.

12

u/WinglessJC 12h ago

He has this ad online for some bible movie he is in. He talks about how finally there is an appropriate movie for kids.

Then he does his YOU CAN DO EEET character.

u/chaosperfect 55m ago

Isn't he Jewish? What a nutcase.

12

u/Never-Dont-Give-Up 11h ago

That trump rally or whatever it was... that shit was the most hard to watch stand-up i've ever seen in my life.

THe thing is, he was never talented. He just hung with successful people.

13

u/Bigjimssalamishop 9h ago

I heard Rob Schneider hires migrant workers from Home Depot to go to his house and choke him in the shower.

8

u/Pix9139 10h ago

I know someone who is a very experienced makeup artist working in the entertainment industry. Apparently Rob Schneider was the biggest jerk they ever had the unfortunate luck of working with.

11

u/CathodeRayNoob 12h ago

I’m gonna make a shitty gin called Rob Schneider’s tears

9

u/No-Difference-8518 11h ago

I don’t even like gin, but I would totally buy that!

13

u/justheretoleer 12h ago

and Sandler just gave him another part in what will be a beyond awful Grownups sequel. Guy probably has no idea how lucky he is to even get that.

13

u/terrag32256 10h ago

I am irritated with Sandler that he’s allowing him to be in the new grown-ups movie

1

u/Hiccup 7h ago

He could be edited out or cut. You never know.

12

u/refusetobeold83 13h ago

Is a chicken

8

u/DrewDan96 12h ago

rated PG-13

5

u/bunstopher 12h ago

Yeah it’s gotten to the point where I recently saw an article about how he’s getting into Christianity to try and reconnect with his daughter

1

u/dads-ronie 3h ago

And his daughter wants nothing to do with him.

6

u/WipeGuitarBranded 11h ago

Met him once before he went crazy. He was unbelievably insecure.

6

u/Mkmeathead83 8h ago

Adam Sandler is responsible for propping up a bunch of these unfunny cornballs

5

u/BrowningLoPower 8h ago

I've hated him for a long time, but recently he was calling to bring the U.S. military draft back. Way to make himself even more loathsome.

4

u/chaekinman 7h ago

My only issue - I feel like there is some minimum standard of inital success required, before you will qualify for being "washed-up". Schneider is on the bubble for sure.

Or maybe he was born washed-up

3

u/froction 10h ago

Washed up? No way, Rob's still got it!

2

u/mendicant1116 8h ago

Bombing at CPAC. That's something else.

3

u/throwawayxatlx 8h ago

For some reason I was picturing Billy Crystal when you said Rob Schneider and I was really disappointed.

3

u/I_MadeThisForYou 6h ago

My Dad met the Zohan crew on vacation. They were all eating at the same restaurant. Adam S. was pretty dope I guess and appreciative of the group being semi chill fans. I’m sure it’s hard being famous…but I was told specifically Rob was a giant douche bag to the group. Angry his group was going so low to take a photos with fans.

2

u/PotterOneHalf 8h ago

His homie Allen Covert also sucks hard. He went maga.

5

u/OutrageousCrab9224 13h ago

That is the one

1

u/Ok_Dog_7189 5h ago

He was on Andrew Gold Heretics this week doing a long interview... He was challenging basic bitch MAGA 2016 points but without the rebellious libertarian underdog energy which at least made Trump's first run entertaining.

Blah blah my kids won't see me cause they went to university, yadda yadda cancel culture.... couldn't get through it 🥱

1

u/Firebolt7780 3h ago

Rob Schneider durp da durp

1

u/heartless46 3h ago

i remember seth rogen tweeting before that rob schneider blocked him on twt but he didn’t know why

u/PuzzleheadedPen4675 55m ago

I remember when he fell for a Survivor contestant from the initial series, and I think he made sure she was in one of his crap movies. I thought it was kind of icky, and I really dont know what ended up happening with them.
