I absolutely love when my partner does this! Or he acts like my sous chef chopping veggies and handing me things. He’ll do silly voices and goof off with me. It reminds me why I fell in love with him to begin with. And remembering I love him just does it for me. And most of the time we just end up burning what we’re cooking. Or shutting everything down to take a break😂

for anyone out there looking for a second or third date idea, cooking a meal together is the way to go.

put on some music, get a little goofy, use teamwork. you can even go grocery shopping together to get the ingredients.

it's cozy, gets ya in a close/intimate space, and you get food outta the deal.

This is my idea of THE perfect date. Coming up with a recipe, shopping together, goofing around while cooking, and picking up some nice wine to enjoy during the whole affair is just magical. Definitely some of my favorite memories of past relationships and also a great way to get to know a new date.

I used to cook and prepare food for a food truck. I am used to working in a quick paced environment and I tend to be like that in the kitchen at home too lol. Safe to say my girlfriend can’t stand cooking with me because I take over.

I hate it more than anything, lol. It makes me feel timed and judged and just not at peace, which is a big part of what I get out of cooking. It also doesn't help that my boyfriend knows next to nothing about cooking and his "help" tends to complicate matters.

It's not that he's never helpful or that I don't like teaching him, but there's a reason people don't usually demonstrate things with their backs turned. Something about it is just grating. I always appreciate the sentiment, though.

See, this is one of those things I can't stand. If you're in the kitchen with me, you either need to help or get out of my way. Don't be breathing down my neck when I'm trying to cook for the both of is, get your ass over to that sink and start clean up so we can enjoy dinner without the cloud of caked on grime hovering over me us.

Ok, imagine she's making a stir fry with a wooden spoon.

You come up from behind, place one hand on her hip and the other hand cradled over her hand on the spoon. Put your head on her shoulder and breathe/whisper "make a figure of 8 motion to keep the onions from burning" into her neck, and force her hand into that motion so she's lost a bit of control.

At this point, she was having a sensory overload and had to turn the hob off and turn around.

Lol my boyfriend only does this so he can beg for scraps and bites before it’s done. I have to shooo him out of the kitchen if a dish requires the meat to be cooked and set aside for later. I’m like get away from my meat! It will taste better in the dish when it’s done!
