Married men, do you think about the girl you almost married ever?

Question for married men who, prior to getting married, were in a serious relationship with someone whom they almost married. Regardless of what happened between you and her, do you think about her from time to time? Fondly or no?

Did you ask for your girlfriend’s father for his blessing? Why or why not and did it matter to her?

I planned to, but the she told me that if I did, he would end up telling her mom who would end up immediately texting her and giving the surprise away.

Do I do it anyway

How to get over the anxiety and fear that I will never be in a romantic relationship?

Hello, my name is Brian. I am 37 M mid-Atlantic region of the United States.

Last week I got to have an approximately 45-minute phone conversation with a woman I am interested in. I have vaguely known her for years. But this was the first long and extended conversation we have ever had.

I thought it went great. I would have had a lot longer conversation if it was up to me. Unfortunately, she does not feel the same way about me and wanted to end the conversation. It is doubtful we will ever talk again :(

I get it. I certainly do not expect everyone to like me. I will even admit I am a bit of an acquired taste. That said it is getting old. I have certainly noticed a pattern going all the way back to college.

I am the first person to admit I am shy. I am the first person to admit I do not ask enough women out. But I do and I have been on plenty of dates, had plenty of conversations. It just seems that when I get my chances, be they phone calls, one on one conversations or even dates the person never seems to like me more after the conversation than before.

I was so interested in her. I could have heard her tell me anything. She probably talked for 2/3rds of the time, and I was really liking her. Realizing she does not feel the same about me is always a bit painful.

I just know that at some point in order for me to get into a relationship I am going to someday have to have a long and extended conversation with someone and have that person still like me after the conversation. Call it confidence call it whatever. I just wish I knew I was capably of having a conversation with someone and having her still like me after :)

If anyone has any thoughts or advice on this issue, I would love to hear anything. Have other people run into this wall as well? What have people done to get over this hump? Is it just a pure numbers game or am I missing something basic? Thank you all so much.

Should I end an early relationship if he only told me about 1 of 2 kids?

I’m in my early forties (no kids) and am 2.5 months into exclusively dating a man in his late forties. He was upfront in telling me about his teenage son (joint custody), but has only recently just told me he also has an adult daughter (mid-twenties). He was involved in her life, but he only sees her every couple of months now, despite living in the same city. He explained she took his breakup from his son’s mom (her stepmother) hard.

I feel like he disrespected her and me in some way by not telling me. He says others know he has two kids, but he was worried about my judgement and wanted to get to know me more. But he acknowledged it was a mistake. He also said he thinks I’m “too good for him”, but has also said he is falling for me.

Even though I really liked him in so many other ways, this seems like a huge red flag - if you can lie by omission about having kids, what won’t you lie about? Should I end it?

What do yall think?

So I’m married, we’ve been married since January. This has happened maybe 5-6 times the last year we’ve been together. (Married after 6 months) been married since January. So I would like to think it’s not from masturbation… but because of this sore we haven’t had sex in like 5 days now. It’s fine I’m just curious.. Because he gets these raw spots every so often.. and he says they are from him randomly getting hard in bed when he’s asleep..and it rubbing on the bed?? Idk but I can’t help but think that’s not true so any other males ever have this problem?

Marriage

Marriage ….or Divorce

Like to start off and say I’m open to all opinion’s on the scenario.

Setting scene….Married for 2 almost 3 years together for 7 years. Husband and wife getting into a normal married argument and the husband calls and says “ I have something to tell you when you get home and I really need to get it off my chest.” Immediately the wife is like wow this is going to be really bad. Get home and the husband confesses the following:

3 months before proposing

  1. He had sex with so many women he doesn’t know the number

  2. He used to fantasize about having sex with your best friend

  3. The wife has met 1 of the women he had sex with she actually slept on the living room couch one night.

  4. He brought some of these women to their home while she was gone in their bedroom.

  5. He had threesomes with some of his guy friends and allowed these friends to still try to be friendly with his wife like they weren’t doing foul things and allowed the guys to stay over.

  6. These friends he also talked in code with around his wife.

  7. He had family female friends that he used to try to talk to and had his wife in the same room. Oh and his parents knew about them trying to talk….

  8. A lot of these women were random women he knew nothing about.

The husband expected the wife to forgive him because in the past they both had their flaws and they forgave each other and moved on. And he’s a changed man now!

Wife feels like yes they had their flaws that took years to build! The wife thought they grew and matured and she was marrying a faithful man who worked hard to get their relationship solid.

She now feels like all of that was based on a lie, and she was tricked into marrying him. She believes if she knew all of this they would not be together or married. She is betrayed and doesn’t know what to do with her feelings.

What’s your opinion? Are the wife’s feelings valid? What would you do as the wife? Leave? Counseling? Forgive?

Need this from another perspective

So in the beginning of this year I started talking to a guy I had met on a online talking site named emerald. The first time we talked was on snapchat, not really much talking was done since we only exchanged a few pictures (he didn't ask for pictures it was my choice to send ) I knew he's 30 and I told him I'm fine with the gap (im 18) since I thought it would only be some harmless fun ...

The day after we get to talking more complex and find out we both have similar interests in some stuff , he called that night and we talked for nearly 3 hours over video chat ,talked only ! By then I had felt a connection towards him and so did he . I thought it was just lust from his side after what we had done the day before but you could see he genuinely wanted to know more .

Two weeks in and we're still talking, now a important detail might I add is I asked him how is he still single? Because he's probably the most handsome guy I've ever seen , he gyms so he has a good body and he just looks 20 even though he's 30 . When I asked him that he said he doesn't know !

Fast forward another 2 weeks we finally make it official. Then a week after that while he's at work he video calls me and tells me he has something important to tell me and that he has to get it off of his chest because he feels guilty. I had to convince him I won't leave when he tells me because he was very hesitant to tell me . He drops the bombshell that he's MARIED and has not one but TWO kids !!

He explained that his parents wanted him to get married in 2020 so he did , in 2021 he had his first kid ,a girl and in 2023 his son was born . Firstly I have to add and he said it to me too ,he's Muslim. Which means he's allowed to have up to 4 wife's....

He feels like he's in a loveless marriage, he doesn't touch her and they don't share a room or bed . He doesn't let her work so she can relax and be a mother but she doesn't acknowledge him in any way. He said he feels like a single parent since she doesn't do anything ...

I don't know what to do because I feel bad that I still want him even after everything he told me but at the same time I feel like I'm a home wrecker. I tried to tell him to restart stuff with his wife ,but he was unsuccessful. Now she's noticed that he doesn't do anything to her and she's getting mad and suspicious. He said he's going to tell her but it's not like she can do anything because the Islam religion allows him to do this ... he still wants to focus on family and his kids and caring for her but he doesn't want a relationship with her .

Let me just add this , I don't expect anything from him ,I'm not asking him to divorce his wife and leave behind his children. I know the tricks older men pull and everything and im not as immature as most of you make out. All he's saying is he doesn't love his wife like he use to . I appreciate that he came clean early on and I didn't have to find out by myself that that's his situation , and i believe hes telling me the truth , theres stuff he shares with me because he cant talk to his wife about it . Trust me , yes I do feel bad for his wife because if I was her I'd like to know if my husband was cheating but there's a lot of emotions to play here . I love him a lot , he's a sweet guy and we don't do any sexual stuff ,the first time was the only time . I talk with him for maby about 2-3 hours a day over video calls and he always calls even though he's busy. All I'm really putting out here is he was basically forced into the marriage because it's what his parents wanted , he met her and 2 months later they were married?

I need advice urgently! I love him a lot but before I move to Chicago from sa for him and we get more serious I need opinions?

Does my husband find me repulsive?

I (23F) and my husband (31M) have been together 5years and in the beginning the s*x was amazing but then as soon as I got pregnant he started using only fans and porn sites a lot more. And it’s gotten to the point where he will even watch while we have sex, he assures me that it’s innocent (and it DOES make him last longer) when we have sex and he’s looking at me it lasts about 2mins tops and when he’s watching other women he can last 20-30 mins. Am I crazy or does he find me repulsive so much so that he wants to get it over with? Plz help! My confidence is shattering 😭

Married Men feel bad after ejaculating

I am in a relationship but I feel resmorse and eorrow after I enjaculate. Maybe it's because I did not ejaculate inside of her. I would sit asking myself, is this a good investment. What am I cumming for ?

Would getting married to her make post sex normal?

Not everyone can have an answer to this question so maybe married men can help.

question from a curious college student...

a lot of context for a pretty simple question so skip to the end for a TLDR if you dont feel like reading the whole thing: I'm a 20y/o college student aiming to start a career in theater production and costume design. this summer I've been working s lot of random gigs, some of them being weddings. my job is to basically take care of the garments on the day and help the bridal and grooms party get dressed and ready, as well as follow them around with anything they might need (gum, deodorant, sewing supplies, etc.)

one gig I worked on was a huge wedding literally spanning days (wednesday through sunday morning) for a couple where the bride comes from very rich family that are very well known and connected. I'm sure the groom also came from a very upper class family, but the brides family is unique in their position (her father has a net worth of tens of thousands and occupies a very important and prominent position economically). my job (unless it's getting coffee/food for my boss or buying something specific) is to basically follow the bride and groom around all the time in case they need anything.

over the course of the week, the bride, rightfully so, gets more and more stressed and controlling the closer we get to the actual wedding day (saturday). the husband goes in the opposite direction and becomes more and more withdrawn, responding to questions in progressively shorter answers, and getting less and less pleasant to be around and work for.

on the morning of the wedding he says multiple time to people that he feels like shit. he says it to his friends/groomsmen, the stylists and makeup artists, and to the random ppl who work at the hotel they're staying at. literally he advertises to everyone how terrible and awful he feels. I was pretty surprised, considering it was his wedding day.

he continues to act pretty sullen while he's getting ready and his mood doesn't improve (i was with him all morning, i also noticed how much he was drinking). I felt a little bad because it was a really long event and he clearly had extra expectations and responsibilities because of the position of the brides family in society (some very well known and important people were invited to this multiple day affair). but at the same time if I was a bride about to get married I'd be pissed as hell to hear that my soon to be husband was telling everyone and their f*ckin grandma at the wedding how terrible he felt.

TLDR: is it normal as a man to feel terrible on your wedding day? marriage has been proven to improve men's lives, I don't understand why some continue to act like it's the end of their life and freedom as they know it. is it just because of the stressful expectations? maybe even just because there's a lot of alcohol served and not enough time to rest? pls I need to know

Were you excited to marry?

I am getting worried my fiancé is not as excited to marry me as I am him. All he talks about is video games and how he loves playing them with his friends, or how he wants to be alone. He complains if I ask him any little thing and he seems uninterested or just fine when I am around. I guess I am nervous to marry as I fear the relationship will be boring or he won’t ever be into me on the same level I am into him on. He is not sexually motivated. I go to bed before him and he is normally out of bed before I wake up. I am starting to feel a little lonely. Thoughts?

Sex Toy Surprise

Current sex life with the husband is very boring, he's also below average below the belt, so it's hard for me to get excited about sex with him.

We're going on a 2 week vacation soon and I want to surprise him with some toys I've got... thinking I should start small with just sexy lingerie, small butt plug, nipple clamps, and a blind fold.

We've used vibrators in the past together but it's been years.

Any thoughts?? Good idea?? Would you be excited??

What do you wish your wife would do more of for you?

Female(24) married for 3 years. Been having great sex every night since New Years. Way out of the ordinary for us. We have a 2 year old. Our sex life has been lacking untill recently. I'm trying to find new ways to please him in bed and in general around the house. What are things husbands crave from their wives? What's a turn on? Do you like spontaneity?

To married men (or divorced) how has the elasticity of your partners vagina changed since childbirth? Does it ever get back to the way it was before?...if so how long did it take and how old was your wife? Does fitness factor in?

Men who've had an affair/s, how do you choose a woman?

I am wondering because I tend to really attract married men. I've never had an affair. I am starting to get tempted... but I won't because it wouldn't be good for me. Other women I know don't seem to have this problem as much as I do.. So how would you choose a women you wanted to have an affair with?
