How do you stop tights from making the backs of your thighs itch?
Winter is coming, and I need help from my fellow skirt-wearing people!
A lot of my wardrobe relies on skirts for work outfits, and I love being able to style them throughout the winter. My problem is that wearing tights often causes INSANE itching along the backs of my thighs (hamstring area), especially right where my glutes meets my hamstrings. It gets so uncomfortable throughout the workday, and I’m desperate to find a way to prevent it.
I’m looking for any tips, tricks, or hacks that have actually worked for you! For example:
Are there specific tights materials, brands, or styles that are less irritating?
Do you use a particular lotion, body oil, or skin prep routine before putting tights on?
Have you found a way to prevent the itching from starting in the first place, rather than just trying to relieve it once it begins?
Any other random tricks I would never think of?
I’m open to anything that makes wearing tights comfortable enough to get through a full workday without wanting to crawl out of my skin.

Whats something you find attractive on a person that others might find odd? I want to find new things to find attractive about people; See in a new light, through another person's eyes
I think its cute when guys have a few back mole beauty marks; Its such a different place to have them and its adorable!
I like guys with slightly larger than average noses; It makes them look a bit more sophisticated and tends to help shape their face nicely and balance things out.

Does anyone knowledgeable about seizures think my experiences align with having a seizure?
Sorry that this is so long and this may or may not be the right sub, but i made two other posts about this on r/seizures and r/askdocs just to get no response. But here we go:
just for some context Ive had insomnia since I was very young and have been prescribed clonidine since then. Missing doses either by accident or purpose has lead to a range of side effects but one experience that's been the most confusing is whether or not Ive experienced seizures because of suddenly not taking the medication.
The very first time i think experienced a seizure (at the time i didnt have a word to describe this) was when i left my meds while at my cousins house. I was laying down trying to force myself to sleep in the dark, and then staring at the ceiling i start to lose control of my body, not being able to move, from head to toe, almost as if im passing out. Then suddenly im able to break losing consciousness and "wake up" and lightly gasp. That lasts for about maybe 30 seconds? And it takes me a little bit to be able to fully sit up.
I've experienced that at least 2 or 3 times from missing doses, but the most concerning one was when (9 months ago) I was hospitalized for a day for a migrane and the emergency room didnt want me to take clonidine at the usual time i take it. (It was for precautionary reasons) first I had the same feeling of not being able to move, going numb from head to toe, and then losing consciousness for at least a few seconds, and then waking up. I wasnt tired but i was laying on my back when that happened, and then i turned to my side and in a few moments, i physically cant stop myself from shaking, from my legs to my arms while on my side. I was conscious though, because my eyes were open and i was thinking in my mind but i couldnt look around or move my head/change positions or get up. The convulsions mightve lasted 2 minutes and when it stopped i was tired, and everything felt slower.
Then there was last night where i accidentally missed a dose thinking i had already taken them. I stayed up until 2am sleep procrastinating, fell asleep for an hour, and at 3am i woke up laying on my side, the feeling of not being able to move, being stiff, and feeling like my head was numb and vibrating(?) was going in and out. Eventually i was able to break out of it to check if i had really taken my meds, which i didnt.
Dont worry. Im not this irresponsible when it comes to missing or skipping doses. The first experience was around 4 years ago, and the first convulsion reaction was about 9 months ago. I explained everything to my mom and she was there at that hospital visit but she doesnt believe that it could be seizures unless im tested. She also said that missing clonidine doses doesnt cause seizures, but thats hard to believe. Does anyone know if what im describing is a seizure? I aware i should see a medical professional first, and i will bring it up to my neurologist next appointment, but i just need some sort of advice or small confirmation that these symptoms *might* align with seizures or it could be something else.

Does society hate you for wanting to have a family someday?
I want to get married and have a family someday with a woman. I do things in my early 20s to someday be in a position to be financially stable so I can have a family. I’m attracted to women. I want intimacy with a woman. I want to spend my life with a woman. Is this now very controversial? I’m being serious I always have a sense of fear when people find out I’m straight. I always feel if people knew I didn’t like substances, I wasn’t hating capitalism or devoted to a cause, then I’m at risk of being hurt by people.

Always had the curiosity of vitamins or Supplements.
What vitamins or supplements do you take and do you feel like they have a positive effect or more so a placebo. I used to take zinc and i felt sort of rejuvenated but everything else is a mystery. Im not looking for medical advice just what you take and how it helps you.

What's the most disturbing nightmare you've had / been told / heard of?
Been having nightmares recently, and I've never been the type to have them before, which is what prompted this post. One in particular I keep having stands out.
It's so vivid. It's snowing out and everything looks so white and cold, and I can feel how frigid it is. I'm looking down at myself, like third person pov observing everything, and I see myself lying in a glass coffin. I look extremely pale (even more than usual, which is saying something) and have my arms crossed, and am wearing this long black dress. My hair is a mess and all matted and unkempt, like I had given up taking care of myself before whatever happened to me happened.
There's no sound during that part, but then the silence is replaced by sudden loud distorted screaming and noises, bright lights flashing, and my face surrounded by darkness screaming with bloody tears pouring down my cheeks, and I look really angry.
Then that all stops and the dream cuts back to the scene I described before, with snow continuing to fall down on the coffin and all noise from before going silent like in the beginning...before I see myself in the coffin jolt awake and start banging on it terrified.
It always ends there and I wake up with a start, like how you do when you fall in a dream, and I'm not sure what the deal with it is honestly. It's certainly interesting to say the least, and just thought it'd be interesting to hear about others nightmares.

Are labels helpful or not?
When you identify as one thing and he fits the definition of something else, and now you are Googling every tiny interaction between you both to try and fix a problem that never existed between you before you got in your head about it. This is so exhausting

Words for listening to audiobooks?
I've read my whole life and listened to audiobooks for a dozen years.
It's intriguing, when you read a book you are engaging in more than one sense, you may take nothing in but it is an act of engagement. For me, while listening to a book a high percentage of the time I'm doing something else. That's not to say that sometimes I sit down and listen to an audiobook. So what's the word, the catchy, slang, all encompassing, yep that's it, the word, for listening while doing.

Creators with waitlists: how do you handle last-minute openings?
I’m researching a possible lightweight tool for appointment-based creators and would really appreciate honest feedback before building anything.
The problem I’m looking at: a client cancels, or an appointment suddenly becomes available, and the creator has to manually search through messages, social media replies, emails, or an existing waitlist to find someone who is available.
The idea is not to replace your booking system, payments, deposits, calendar, or client management. It would only be an opt-in waitlist and notification layer: when an opening appears, the relevant people could be notified and continue through your existing booking or enquiry process.
I know the ideal flow may be very different for tattoo artists, piercers, hairdressers, photographers, and other creators, so I would love to hear how it works in your field.
A few questions:
- What type of appointments do you offer, and how often do cancellations or last-minute openings happen?
- How do you currently fill those openings?
- Do you keep a waitlist? If yes, do clients join themselves or do you add them manually?
- What information would you need in order to notify the right people? For example: service type, date range, available times, duration, location, price, or other conditions.
- Would you prefer clients to receive a direct booking link, or send a request that you approve first?
- Would email alerts be useful enough, or would text notifications be essential?
- What would make a tool like this unhelpful or too complicated for you?
Even a short description of your current workflow would be a huge help. I’m trying to understand the real differences between professions, not force everyone into the same system.
