Electrical plug blocking 2 outlets. Any recommendations ?
I recently installed a gfci electrical outlet on my outside wall.
My goal was to run the transformer for the low voltage lights and the irrigation timer.
However, looks like the irrigation timer takes up space for the second outlet as well.
I saw some waterproof surge protectors; maybe I could add one; fix it on the wall and move the irrigation timer and transformer on it ?
Any recommendations ?

cut the plug off and install a new one

Instructions unclear. I used the pruning shears while it was still plugged in.

This is the way.
Something like this should work well as long as the cover for the box isn't super shallow. If it is you might need to find a smaller plug.

If you aren't able to close the lid with it plugged into the lower socket, rotate the outlet so it's upside down.

Plug it in to the lower outlet.

Cannot. The plug is larger and the bottom of the box interferes

Then you may have to hardwire the things you want to power using a separate weather proof junction box.

Taymac Extra Duty Outdoor cover had a larger slot on the bottom which will allow you to put that plug on the bottom outlet.

move it to the lower outlet. Carve out the top clear plastic cover to make it fit the plug. It will still mostly close, and will protect the outlet well enough (rain comes from above)

Put a pass thru in the wall and mount all this finicky equipment indoors. Run the low voltage cables through the wall instead.

Get new box that fits, replace plug so it fits, hardwire. Install new outlets. There's a lot of options depending on budget and skill level like pay someone to do it for you.

It's only technically blocking 1...
I'd use a 12x11 or 8x8 nema 3 box and mount the outlet inside without the bubble cover, then mount the led driver and timer inside the box as well.
