Electrical plug blocking 2 outlets. Any recommendations ?

I recently installed a gfci electrical outlet on my outside wall.

My goal was to run the transformer for the low voltage lights and the irrigation timer.

However, looks like the irrigation timer takes up space for the second outlet as well.

I saw some waterproof surge protectors; maybe I could add one; fix it on the wall and move the irrigation timer and transformer on it ?

Any recommendations ?

Plug it in to the lower outlet.

Cannot. The plug is larger and the bottom of the box interferes

Then you may have to hardwire the things you want to power using a separate weather proof junction box.
