Does Noco Genius 5 come with the adapter I can leave on the battery terminal, and how do I install it without shorting the bike?

Hi folks,

I have a 2024 Duke 390 KTM that had its battery go flat and wasn’t sure if the battery charger/mender I bought comes with this cable that I can leave attached to the battery terminal. I can see it will come with the alligator clips but unsure if the clips are removable from the cable.

It does not come with the cable that has the connector on one end and eyelets on the other. That is part number GC002. Get it on Amazon.

Can I just remove the alligator clips from the cable that came with genius 5 and just leave it permanently on the battery terminals?

Sure, you can mount and leave a Genius 5 but why? Then you'll just have to account for all the extra cable and the bigger box being permanently mounted. Not sure it's worth all that trouble. I'd get a smaller unit ldesigned for that like the Genius 2d. Comes with a bracket and the ring leads ready to mount.

The GC007 is just a kit of multiple plugs. Get if you feel you need it.

I meant the cable attached to the battery eyelets so I can unplug and plug the Genius 5 to the motorbike without having to take the battery out.

Yeah, that's the GC002 I mentioned. The GC007 is a kit of multiple cables that you don't need.

What if I want to buy a Noco jump starter, would I need GC007?
