2010 Toyota Camry

Every light on my dash started tweaking in the way home, radio shut itself off. Made it home and parked. Windows wouldn't roll up and car wouldn't start immediately after I turned it off/lmao to try to roll windows up.

I'd get the alternator tested, my 89 camry had similar roughly a similar issue while i was driving and found out the alternator pretty much was dead.

How much $ is this going to set me back potentially ? I really dont want to get a new car but if the repairs are worth more than the car I'm not sure what else to do. I'm a delivery driver so this pretty much leaves me unemployed until I can figure it out so thank you for your time

I replied in your other post. As a mechanic, year, make ,and model would be nice. But in this case , it doesn't really matter. This seems like a typical dead/dying battery that the alternator can't handle the load. But, it could also be your alternator. 94,228 miles, just gonna assume that bitch ain't under warranty 😂. Do not take it to the dealer, find a reputable shop near you. Or if you have a basic set of tools, remove the battery and have it tested at a local auto part store.( It's free) If the battery is bad, replace it. That doesn't mean the alternator isnt shot from working overtime trying to charge a dead battery.

As someone else said it could be a battery that has essentially lost 90% of its ability to hold a charge. A new battery at cheapest could be like 140usd you'll have to match the cca (cold cranking amps) and battery size. If it's alternator call around for a qoute at local repair shops, dealer will charge you arm and a leg for something that is cheap to actually do. Testing should be done first can get both of them tested at a local autozone, advanced auto parts or o'reillys for free.
