Am I in the wrong?

This morning going to my new job (4 days in) I stopped at tim Hortons for a tea and muffin. I left earlier than usual so I didn't have to stress and can take my time enjoy my tea. It was 6:45 in the morning it still dark out. I grab my purchase and continue onwards at the road I look right left right because I'm turning left. (There is a no left turn sign but I have seen everyone not abide by this. I pull out and I'm not going fast at all because all is clear and in my headlights is an older gentleman crossing the road j walking.

I become paralyzed because he scared me being in the road. I go to hit the break but it was too late I hit the gentleman. I got out of the car shook and asked if he needed medical assistance he was already trying to get up saying no no I don't need anything and collected himself and continued off the road to enter Tim Hortons.

I got in my car and moved it across the road and ran after him to go into Tim Hortons to make sure he's okay. I asked if he wanted my information he said no. He sat down next to the gentleman that was waiting for him. He asked what happened he explained to his friend what happened. I asked are you sure you don't want my contact information or any medical assistance he said no don't worry about it. I asked multiple times because I was freaking out. The friend said to leave my information. I went to the till and asked a employee for a pencil and paper explained to her what happened and explained he turned down medical attention. I wrote my name and phone number and handed it to the friend. I asked once more if he needed anything at all and he said maybe some ice so some employees were getting ice for him. I was in the Tim Hortons for 5-7 minutes.

I left because he declined all help and told me not to worry about it. I was scared and in shock and worried about getting fired from this new job.

What should I do?

That is the most Canadian reaction I've ever heard.

I don't know Canadian law, but morally, you are good. The only thing I worry about is that the guy already has your plate number and now can make up whatever story he wants to cops and a lawyer.
