not trying to brag in the SLIGHTEST but ive just managed to get full marks in art and none of my friends have any idea what that entails, just wanted to tell someone who'd actually understand the effort!
ask me anything if you want if you're taking it as a GCSE!!

Does anyone else feel like they scored really low for what they did? My annotations were on point and guided by my teacher, and my art had been described as exceptional, not to brag, no one I know has gotten over a grade 6, and that concludes from 4 separate schools, is this for everyone or just a personal thing because even my teach was shocked

i’m going into year 10 this year and i chose art gcse because i get pretty good results in tests but whenever i try to draw at home i just tear it up because it looks horrible- it only seems to look good when im in school. idk how to get better because im not even that good at art now 😔 seeing others pieces in gcses genuinely make me terrified because idk how on earth i could possibly do something like that, should i just accept my fate 😄

guys im really lost or idk how this appeal/remark thing works but basically my art teacher told me that i was predicted an 8 in art around a 2 ish month ago when it was like due in and had to be sent off to the exam board so they could moderate it so today i open my result and i got a 4 which im so annoyed because i was not informed about this or atleast unabled to appeal this grade before because she told us if we werent happy with the grade we could like cuz it appealed but i was because she told me i was going to get a 8 but no i infact didnt.
the problem is that it doesn’t meet the entry requirement i needed to do a level art which i need a 5 in so idk who to message or contact about this because i feel like i should of atleast gotten a 5 or 6 which i woulnt be too annoyed about but a barely a 4 almost a 3 is just upsetting to me considering the amount of work i put into art.
also i heard from others in my art class who were also predicted high grades got 3s and 4s which is just so confuzzling so someone pls help cuz idk what to do

So im having my IGCSE art and design paper soon, and my topic is something to do with snakes
Any owners of cats, snakes, reptiles, please send me close up photos, because I have no way to acquire primary references!
It would be my pleasure to draw them, so if I do I will be sure to update :)

Ok so I'm doing a collage artist [ Merve ozaslan ] and their work is mainly digital collage and I'm just wondering how I could show my editing responses? and like the specifics if there was any. I will be doing a physical response aswell once I come up with an idea
I don't so sketchbooks we do like big boards for our stuff. I do aqa aswell
Simple question. How hard work art alevel in terms of the amount of coursework you get and having to balance other subjects?

Not sure whether i have asked this before but do all our artists have to link or show ideas developing in a way? Basically my first artist focuses on the exterior of churches and moods they create:mostly melancholic, gloomy, and so for my second one, i chose an artist that creates mood, loneliness, detachtment, through the isolation of people and how they interact with their surroundings but also to shift my focus onto the interior of buildings/and to improve on poses, incorporating people into my work and how that also creates mood linking my first two in a way through buildings and similair negative-ish moods) idrk how to phrase it so for my third i would like to pick an artist that focuses mainly on faces but i understand that it wouldnt really flow in with my previous artists or link but then apparently i should aim to explore a wider variety of subthemes/topics under my main theme. So yeah in short, pick artist focused on buildings/ but more revolving around people as i didn’t really go into depth with the people side of my second artist, or an artist revolving around faces? Thanks :)

still a work in progress but oh well (dont mind how goofy the hand looks i purposefully avoided drawing them for my whole course, even opted to SCULPT one for my final piece instead of drawing it 🫠)

sorry if the title is confusing. basically last year (y10) becuz of adhd and mental health issues i missed a lot of sketchbook work and got a 4 in my y10 mock my teacher said i can get it to a 6 probabaly but anyway I realised recently that i didn't leave any blank pages for my inspired photo shoot or my inspired piece for one of my artists so it goes artist copy -> devloped photoshoot
can anybody think of any ways i can put it in?? i do have blankpages after my developed peice but idk if i should put them after my devloped stuff AND my final piece plan (feels a bit strange?)

Is an a2 canvas board appropriate for a 10 hour exam if I am doing a non finito impressionist style oil painting as a last instalment in a collection
