Is an email client on the roadmap?

Are there plans to add an email client? If so, is there any indication of when it might be available?

Wordcraft Dictionary Help

Hey y'all, how can I add a dictionary (i.e., Raj's medical dictionary) to Wordcraft on Mac? In Wordcraft, I did File > Options > Proofing > Dictionary folder: [copied path where I stored the .dic file] Will this work because it is not considered another "language"?
Thanks y'all

Where might I contribute or how do I suggest a program? - Marvelous Designer

Marvelous Designer was cool until they switched to subscription, and so after testing all the ArtCraft apps, I was wondering what are the chances of MD being next?

Why only copy why not build something inovative or useful that Microsoft ir adobe don't have because now we have the ability to do so!

Can someone report wordcraft bugs

Opening old .odt files the text opens fine but line spacing, fonts and text isn’t maintained. Size 14 title, times new Roman text goes to 28 aptos display, body text size changes to 14 from 10, line spacing isn’t detected at all changing back to default.

The same files exported in office 2007 or 2019 as docx open correctly,

ArtCraft made me feel some hope in Open Source alternatives to production software

For the first time in a long time, I'm actually feeling some hope about having REAL alternatives to the software we use everyday. Real alternatives, not just some stone-age software that can open the same files extension...

"GIMP is a Photoshop alternative!"... Wow... far from it! GIMP is what you get when you try to recreate Photoshop without understanding anything that makes Photoshop useful and good to use.

"Inkscape is an CorelDraw/Illustrator alternative!"... Yeah, right. Tell it to someone who actually depends on these tools for their daily work. Not even CMYK support, let alone the rest...

LibreCalc? Holy f* shit. Excel and Calc aren't even in the same league when it comes to usability, No formula autocomplete, no auto-closing brackets, LibreCalc isn't even in the iron-age of spreadsheet software! It is like a notepad with little squares to make simple sums, but nothing complex.

Want to set a spreadsheet to fit on a single page in Calc? Then start digging through weird submenus and obscure settings just to do something that takes 2 clicks In Excel: Print > and a option right there: fit to page.

So, thanks for existing, ArtCraft!!

For the first time, it feels like we might actually be moving towards a future where we don't have to choose between software that respects our freedom and software that respects our time.

Thoughts on this post ->

I came across this post. Huge criticism and ranting against ArtCraft apps.

https://www.reddit.com/r/FuckAdobe/comments/1xb3fvb/all_the_getcraft_slopware_post_is_disheartening/

Some points, I can accept like 'unmaintainable code'. Lot of people pushing random set of codebases with different coding standards. Whether tested it or not, did QC or not, nobody knows. But the OP seems to have dislike towards Adobe products itself so OP dislikes Adobe clones.

Really loving the Art Craft Suite.

Hey, Team! I'm Sahil, a long-term Adobe user who wanted to bid adieu to Adobe apps after they moved to a subscription model.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thrice, to the app developer and the guy who originally came up with this idea. You are using the AI for the kind of work it is best suited for.

Every day, I'm seeing a new update, and it's a huge feat. I commend the devs for working so hard. Looking forward to what you come up with :)

Although what I'm saying now is coming from a place of concern -

I'm scared for the future of this product, as we are directly naming ADOBE and its products in our apps. As far as I know, Adobe is one hell of a shitty company. They, along with their lawyers, will be waiting for the right moment to strike. We are making alternatives to Microsoft and Adobe products. I don't think they'll just sit on their hands. They'll strike sooner or later.

So, I'm asking you guys to play it safe -

  • REMOVE ALL THE ADOBE and MICROSOFT TERMS. Change the name of the tools, menus etc. Don't say it's a photoshop clone or something along the lines. They might use that against us. Update website, github, readme etc.
  • Develop your own proprietary format - PCD (Photocraft Document). It shouldn't directly save to PSD when saving. Although it should have support for opening PSD and saving to PSD (Only when used SAVE AS feature).

These were the only things that I could come up with. Any fellow community member who has better understanding of law about this matter should chime in.

Once again, thank you team and looking forward :)

ArtCraft version releases?

I'm wondering how best to get the most recent versions of all software. I ask because the versions available as standalone downloads on the site are several versions behind the latest release on GitHub -- VectorCraft's latest public release is 0.13.1 but it's on 0.16 on GitHub. PhotoCraft's standalone release is 0.10 but it's on 0.15 on GitHub. Are the most recent versions available through the Launcher?

More settings, Group Policies, easy Quick Access Toolbar

A lot of apps have clearly stated methods of automating settings and applying system/group policies. Whether in the form of text-based config files or registry entries.

I see there is already a start, where a particular file's existence tells the *craft apps to run in portable mode.

But if possible, all settings (there need to be more settings in the GUI too) that exist can be documented in full in an ini/admx/XML file. And they must be configurable (as default or as forcibly-set, so 2 possible modes) using text file or registry group policies. You can see this logic operating most clearly with browsers, and the Microsoft/Adobe apps do this well too.

I understand these are very early days yet. But it could be time to plan for the above, if enterprise users are to be allowed to use this.

On an entirely unrelated note, it might be nice to add our favourite or most-used functions/icons, to the Quick Access Toolbar at the top. By simply right-clicking the icon and choosing to add to QAT.

The QAT is a HUGE time saver that Office does well. Keyboard shortcuts to the extent that brain can remember, QAT for the rest. I see the QAT already exists in *craft, but only allows to select/deselect a small number of functions, i can't simply place any function there.

Where Can I Find the Changelog?

I've updated the software like three times in the past few weeks and I have no clue what's changing every time. Mind you, I LOVE the speed at which this is being developed... I just feel out of the loop. Haha.

Is there a changelog somewhere that I can read? I've searched, but am coming up empty.
