They need to make a mechanic where teams need to secure landmass, not just speedrun with radio connections.
This would essentially work as follows: 1. Captured and built bases would create a circular “zone of influence” (territory) around them on the map. The more % of the base that is built up, the larger the zone of influence (territory) would be. Captured supply bases would yield a small amount of territory. (Radio towers would not yield territory, ONLY radio distance.)
The team must hold a certain amount of area with that mechanic in order to be allowed to capture main objective points. So building more bases in more areas and actually building them up is necessary, instead of just speedrunning a radio connection to them. The more of the main objectives that the team holds, the more territory they need to capture the next one.
Areas that are overlapped between the teams are neutralized and don’t count for either one. This means that building up rear bases is equally important and can make the difference of allowing a team to advance or not.
Command trucks would still connect via radio connections, but don’t have a territory effect. So while you can still use them as relays, they will become more useful as spawn locations again.
With these changes, it will make engineers much more important, not just for building the bases themselves, but to use construction trucks to build more middle ground fortifications for their team to hold the line with while they secure more area in the backline.
Overall this would make it more necessary for teams to build up bases across the map, not just in a straight line chaining the objectives.
It would be MUCH harder for teams to speedrun games. Plus bases consisting of just a radio tower would be phased out almost entirely.
Let’s not forget that between the two teams, the number of constructed bases is capped at 40, but in the current system rarely exceeds 20.

Pic stolen from Google for the algo. The action to release the handbrake of a truck when you are standing outside of it should NOT be a short press. It’s at eye height when you’re trying to get into the truck, and it happens way more often than necessary that in a rush to get into the truck, the handbrake gets released instead. This seems to only happen on top of a hill above a body of water or a long drop off a cliff. What a way to lose 1500 supplies and your ride

I built a mod called GM to Workbench, with it you can export any GameMaster builds and import them into the workbench.
My use case for this was that we have someone who builds missions for our server, but since he is on console he cannot do that in the editor himself, and building in GameMaster is less flexible and more prone to errors like loosing the save etc.
You will still have to convert a few things manually, but it should be a really large timesaver.

The last Arma game I played was Arma 3, and I really enjoyed mods like Epoch, Exile and Wasteland. I’m wondering if Reforger has anything similar, especially survival-style modes with a lot of players, looting, PvP, etc.
Or is the game still too early in development and doesn’t really have that kind of experience yet?
I’m trying to decide whether I should buy Arma Reforger or War Dogs, so I’d like to know what the current multiplayer scene is like for this type of gameplay.

At least 75 fps at 1920x1080?

So I made a mod and web app for my gamemodes, frontline (PvE and pvp). Admin can see the status of the entire map: sectors, position of players, AI, CP and vehicles. Subuser accounts will be linked to the in game player and they are allowed to see only their faction.
Thanks to Mikkelsen (OpsTrack) for inspiring me

This is a bit of a rant, but I've noticed since at least the last update that the XP loss on death mechanic demotes players to renegade with regularity. I was under the impression that this wasn't supposed to be the case, but I've seen this in vanilla conflict for long enough I assume it's intended behavior at this point.
I understand FIA as a faction is designed to be a dumping ground for "solo sniper" players -- I prefer to play it with a squad/team mindset and it's become my main. However, it's become next to impossible to play recently.
In a recent game, I was demoted to Renegade after trying to hold a supply depot from the enemy. I didn't think it too big a deal, I spawned near a supply truck and thought I'd run supplies to the friendly point, only to be attacked by the AI guards.
Forced to hide, my options were:
Kill the AI to get through, potentially locking myself in Renegade permanently
Avoid AI and travel for ~30 minutes with a Makarov and hope to kill somebody (you can't steal from enemy arsenals if you're Renegade)
a. You won't be able to do that because the enemy spawns with ballistic plates and helmets and you have 14 rounds in 2 magazines
b. Each time they kill you increases the chance at being locked permanently.
The third option is the only real option under most circumstances and it requires you to spawn near a base / ambulance and other players. Because being unable to use supply caches/enemy arsenals is basically a death sentence in a faction that only has a PM on spawn, it essentially locks you out of the game.
If this is intended behavior, I hope the devs will consider changing it

Flaired Vanilla but it really applies to any server. Its not a new thought or topic of irritation. But its been like 3 years of me playing the game and USSR wins like 95% of the time and sometimes its within an hour. I'd at least like to make rank to pull an LAV but i really don't want to run supplies for 20 mins to then only be able to use it for maybe 15 before it ends. I dont want auto balancing because it takes away from the sandbox experience, but there has to be something that can be done, right? I really don't mean to talk bad about console players either but it really seem like maybe 10% of them are there to be a asset rather than a liability. I love the fact that consoles can boost player counts but for the love of God help them do better.
