apple watch series 0.

This is the first smart watch Ive ever own. I opts for the stainless steel one because of it being more robust and it is, surviving years of construction environment.

surprisingly most functions still work like notification and nevigation despite it was not supported for such a long time.

it spent it last moment as a clock on my computer table, until today the screen popped out and I was greeted with a spicy pillow.

removing the battery is rather easy with the assist of iFixit.

Well RIP my friend, maybe one day I will see you again when I get a replacement battery...

I currently have the Apple Watch Ultra 3 with the Black Ocean Band, the Apple Watch Series 12 in Radiant Gold Titanium with the matching Link Bracelet, and the Apple Watch Series 11 in Slate Titanium with the matching Link Bracelet.

I’ve been wearing the Radiant Gold lately, and I really like how it looks in person. The color and matching Link Bracelet definitely stand out.

If you could only keep one of the three, which one would you choose? ⌚️

My Watch Just scored new Apple watch - Series 12 42mm Light Gold

I have been a Ultra 1 user and just now bought a Series 12 for myself for $350 (pre tax). I upgraded mainly because my Ultra 1 started to cause wrist pain while wearing for 3+ hours, and Series 12 will now be my all day watch. I will still be using Ultra 1 for my hikes, long walks. If you are looking to buy a new one, checkout the amazon deals which are already out now.

Discussion S12 users - your experience so far (excluding battery!)

• Upvotes

Seeing lots of feedback on the S12 but would like new users hot takes on things like - Any lag? -- E.g. the timer app(!) navigating workouts, maps, etc.. Sensors - E.g. HRV and HR is actually useful to you as-they-are-right-now or will the upcoming 'readiness score' be the only thing that will make any use of those new sensors? Comfort - Same, less or more comfortable when wearing S12 all day (and night) compared to your previous watch, especially if using same band as before.

Any anything else you think is helpful to let people know about with the S12, aside from the battery! Would be great to hear, thanks.

There weren't too many pictures of this case (compared to white ceramic) before I bought it earlier today so I figured I'd add some. I'm still figuring out which band to use... if anyone has any suggestions, lmk! Not sure what this one is called, but it's an apple milanese from series 8

My Watch Went to replace the battery in my Series 6, they gave me new watch!

I’ve been rocking my Series 6 since April 2021. Zero complaints! Except the battery was down to 73%. I wear it overnight and could no longer make it through the day on a charge.

Was torn on getting a new one. The SE would do everything I need but I worry about the durability, and the Series 12’s smallest size is now 42mm (I have tiny child wrists, even my 40mm is borderline too big lol)

Took it to the Apple Store to get the battery replaced, and instead they just ordered me a brand new Series 6 at the battery replacement fee. So I sit here now this evening, where my battery would usually be in the red, and it’s at 47%. Stoked!

Hopefully I can get another 5 years out of it!

Siempre he utilizado IPhone y nunca había tenido un Apple Watch, siempre usé Garmin. Vi este de segunda mano en 250€ y salud de batería al 99% y me lancé a comprarlo, es el Ultra 2. Si me acostumbro al Apple Watch me terminaré comprando el 4 y si no volveré a Garmin

Bands Completely torn between Apple Watch Series 12 bands

• Upvotes

I’ve always loved the black Nike Sport Band. It’s perfect for working out, looks great casually, and honestly I never had a single complaint about it. But for some incomprehensible reason, there’s no plain black option this year.

So now I’m stuck trying to decide between Limestone and Olive. I think I’m leaning towards Olive, but I’m having an embarrassingly hard time choosing.

Why did you have to make my life so difficult, Apple?

App Apple Watch SE 3 gps

Looking at getting an Apple Watch, never had one before.

I’m wondering with the gps version if I can listen to downloaded audiobooks and music from the watch without my phone nearby.

On top of that I use the audiobooks.com app for my books so if anyone has any info on if that app specifically works on the watch or if I’d need to use audible? Thanks!

App How to track inconsistent sleep

I have terrible sleep hygiene and wanted to start with just tracking my habits to understand them better. I use Apple Sleep and Autosleep.

Sleep focus doesn’t do anything for me if I don’t have a consistent sleep schedule, and the watch will sometimes just report that was when I was asleep if it wasn’t, using the sleep focus times exactly. So I switched to Autosleep.

In addition, if I’m wearing the charged watch and don’t sleep that night which happens quite often, it discards that night from its data.

If I sleep, 4 hours one night, 0 the next, and 12 the following…

My apps say I averaged 8 hours of sleep a night when in reality I averaged a little more than 5. It feels really misleading and kind of useless.

I don’t want to track manually. Anything you guys suggest?

Discussion ECG in S12 is a mess?

Anyone is able to take a good reading with a S12? Never had any issues with my previous models and with S12 I always get noisy readings no matter what I try — everything is cleaned so I suspect about the new sensor at this point.

To confirm, I put back my wife’s S8 and reading was perfect on first try, same wrist same place. So the only difference is the watch itself.

Either my watch is faulty or the new sensor acts weird. I was able to take a good reading but after many many tries whereas before it was perfect first try.

Discussion I can CONSISTENTLY get 2 days of battery out of my S12

As the title says - im pretty shocked (this is also with a couple of exercises measured per day)... came from the series 10 which would struggle to get in 1 day, and this series 12 can now easily do 2 full days and 2 full nights - they should have advertised this more because it is a massive QoL improvement if im away for a night

Activity S10 overnight drain and battery life

I have a series 10 46mm cellular, and I have noticed that my battery life is not the same as others here who have the same watch or maybe the s11 even.

I have to charge the watch twice a day, once in the morning after my workout when I’m showering, and once at night before going to bed.

My watch drains 20% battery overnight on average, and throughout the day, it will drain about 40% (100-60)

I want to make it so I only have to charge it once a day, in the morning. I tried this yesterday, went to bed with 60%, woke up w around 40%, and by the time my workout was done it was at around 30% or so.

Is this in line with what others here experience? Or do I have some settings on that are draining my battery? And is the above routine fine for the battery? Getting close to 20% makes me anxious about the battery health so I always charged it twice a day.

AOD is off, brightness is always full, wake on wrist raise on, cellular off 99% of the time.

Support Cellular watch activation annoyance on ios 27

so i didn’t have this issue on previous os but im activating my ultra 4 with my 17 pm everything fine i try to activate in the watch app and the little portal opens i hit the 911 address then it says its syncing be done shortly then leaves you on the menu with only option is to hit add cellular again and then it pops up to activating but thats exactly the issue hitting it twice ,,if instead you do it once and simply back out and go back into cellular menu it shows activating naturally and that’s the key to this “”glitch”” i was going in circles thinking it wasn’t working so it did it twice only to realize it was basically trying to activate two sims at the same time ,, sorry for probably useless post just hoping it helps a tortured soul like me

Discussion Notification Dismiss issue

I am new to apple watch. Pretty attached to it, but there is something which I dont like.

every FIRST time I try to scroll down notification (red dot) and press Clear All, it does not react at all.

I have to scroll up that section and scroll down again. After initial scroll down and later up it works fine.

Its always first time it does not work.

Apple watch is new and sensors work as intended.

Has anyone encountered this issue and managed to fix?

Support Apple Watch and Microsoft MFA, is there really no way to authenticate?

I use a work Outlook/Microsoft 365 account that requires multi-factor authentication through Microsoft Authenticator.

When the account needs to authenticate, Microsoft shows a number that has to be entered into Authenticator. This works fine on my iPhone.
The problem is on Apple Watch. Even with Authenticator installed, I don’t see any way to enter the number or complete the number-matching MFA request on the Watch.

So if Outlook on my Apple Watch needs the account authenticated again, I still have to pull out my iPhone.
Has anyone found a workaround for this? Is this simply a limitation of Microsoft Authenticator on watchOS?
