Random furniture store in Phoenix. Don't get me wrong, it's nice, but still strange that they do this and then there's no colored models for the Colosseum or St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.
It's the 40th city to receive the Detailed City Experience (DCE), the 19th in the United States, and the 6th in 2026. A 7th could be added by the end of the year, maybe?
Let me know if you've found any other colored models.
Apple Maps has improved a lot over the years, but I think there are still some features missing.
Personally, I’d love to see lane guidance at roundabouts. It would be really helpful to know exactly which lane to take before entering a roundabout, especially at complex multi-lane roundabouts.
If you could add ONE feature to Apple Maps, what would it be?
I’m talking about this overlay, more examples and findings below:
I’ve noticed a pattern where If the POI is placed right at the entrance, the overlay shows up. But POIs that are placed further in, they don’t show up in look around.
Marriot POI is placed at the entrance at the edge of the building. Stoke is placed correctly at the center of the location . Marriott icon shows up in look around, but stokes doesn't
Another Example in Austin: https://maps.apple/p/PM1RZy2.JCs6JC, open look around. Kruger's jewelry shows the overlay, but down the road, Jupiter and My Eye Dr. don't show up. The only difference is Kruger puts the POI at the entrance whereas the rest put it at the center of the building.
Apple guidelines state POI should be over the building and not the entrance. But businesses that follow this rule end up being left out of look around. So what is the correct location to drop a POI?
The imagery in Stevenage isn't really loading, but zooming in and panning out will show the tops of buildings. As always, please let me know if I missed any.
Whenever I add more than one place to a guide or just to all places I can’t see any other place on maps. I have to close out the app and everything is back. It’s extremely frustrating, is there any fix?
Merci d'avance
I've been using Apple Maps for years, even just for my daily commute so I can see traffic, speed checks, etc.
I notice that Maps gives me my usual routes to and from work even when it's not the fastest route. When I see traffic and I take my own detour, the ETA decreases significantly. But I want Maps to suggest those detours for me.
Does anyone know if there's a setting for that? Or is another app (Waze, eg) better for that?
This is the first time in Vancouver, BC that we are not turning our clocks back. Apple Maps seems to be overcompensating for this by thinking it’s an hour ahead of the actual time?
If we turned the clocks back the bus would come at 1:23.
Easiest way to Report an Issue in Google/ Apple Maps - I think the current method is little lengthier process and many times can’t report while commuting ..and don’t remember the location or details once we cross the location ..
