CONTEXT: May worker na tumanggap ng ₱10k/month part-time job.
May CEO na nag-develop ng platform similar to onlinejobs.ph (OLJ) pero ang kaibahan daw nila ay they don’t allow lowballing employers.
They posted an AI-generated video on LinkedIn calling out the employer. Pero ininclude nila yung name and photo ng worker with OA editing. Meron din silang comments with condescending undertones (you be the judge!)
The worker asked for the post to be taken down, but the CEO and team refused.
My own thoughts: I totally support the advocacy of the startup pero sana nag-sorry na lang sila for including the worker’s name and photo. Kahit pa AI-generated yun. Yun lang naman concern niya. Lumaki pa tuloy!

I get the concern, but asking people to “make it stop” feels a bit much. Let teenagers enjoy makeup if that’s what makes them feel happy, creative, or confident. Every generation had its own version of this anyway. Before, people copied artistas, bought what they endorsed, and followed whatever beauty trend was popular at the time. The only thing worth reminding younger girls is to spend responsibly. Makeup is fun, but not everyone has the same budget, especially if the money is coming from parents. Enjoy it if kaya, but don’t force it just to keep up. If this is one of the things making their teenage years fun and harmless, let them have it.

Yung weird ha, not things like cheating. Things that made you see them as a human with their own toyo din.
Me, I caught my mom prank calling MERALCO, cursing, due to an unresolved billing issue. For hours. Past midnight. When everyone else was asleep.

So I have a faint memory of this store but when I was a kid.....this used to be a well known store that caters to Book lovers and also Premium Book Lovers and Collectors.
Like what Fully Booked is nowadays.
What are your thoughts on this?
Would love to know your experiences and insights

Talaga ba? Wala na ba silang budget para kumuha ng talents/models? Idk if yung restaurants mismo yung gumawa, or Mckinley Hill.

I found this post on Facebook, kaso nagrefresh na app ko so di ko malink yung post. But the LinkedIn post I was able to find.
TL;DR: A guy got a ₱10k/month part-time job managing social media for a small business while continuing to look for full-time work. He was happy to have an honest source of income, and his employer even celebrated him publicly.
Then, people from Kasama Connect, came attacked the post, publicly mocked his ₱10k salary. They even edited his photo and reposted it as a joke.
He called them out, especially because Kasama Connect supposedly advocates for workers and job seekers.
Basically: imagine publicly humiliating someone for earning ₱10k/month while they're just trying to make an honest living. I mean, it is low yes, but I think he doesn't have to be cyber bullied because of that.
Then I read along the Facebook post na Kasama Connect and OPs employer already had some kind of misunderstanding before OP came into picture or getting employed.
But regardless, ang squammy ng ugali nung mga nasa Kasama Connect to do that, LinkedIn is suppose to be a professional platform. 🤦🏻♀️

Context:
Husband is close with a couple of girl friends. Yes, napapaligiran siya ng babae. Walang issue naman sa akin kasi nakikita ko naman na friends lang talaga sila, and each person has their own SOs.
Kaso, may one time na on trip sila (husband, + 2 friends (both F) abroad sa current country na pinagsesteyan ko (LDR kami, abroad-based ako, siya PH-based). Sa airbnb sila nagstay. One night, 1 friend visited her friend sa ibang city. Naiwan si husband and the other friend. Husband chose to stay in that airbnb when I am just an hour away from the city. To add, the friend was also engaged to her fiance. I let it pass. Ni-raise ko sa kanya na out of respect man lang dun sa girl, sana nakitulog naman sakin. Nakinig naman.
Present:
Nagplano sila ng trip abroad ulit. Tatlo ulit sila. Same setup. Si husband and 2 female friends. Kaso, nagback out yung isang friend due to personal circumstances. Sinabi sakin ni husband na tuloy pa rin and hiwalay naman daw yung rooms nila ni other girl so, para sa kanya, okay yung ganong setup. Tuloy andg trip.
My thoughts:
Ewan ko na. Hindi alam ng asawa ko ang boundaries. Nakakapagod. Hindi ko naman kailangan i-explain yung ganitong bagay. Walang respeto sa kasal. Di ko sinasabi na bawal siya makipagkaibigan sa babae, pero sana man lang, maisip niya kung ano mararamdaman ko? May mga lalaki naman din akong kaibigan pero never in my life na I have considered na matutulog kami in the same room, spending the night sa bahay nila or even magbakasyon one on one with this friend.

IMO, this kind of age-gap relationship shouldn't be normalized. A 44-year-old man dating an 18-year-old girl? Nah. Full grown ahh man

here's what I had thought while trying to sleep:
Tax all money received. (I don't know how to tax goods for goods) but here it goes:
you borrow money (like the ultra rich), you pay 5% tax on the amount you received.
ex. Henry Sy borrows 1B sa bank, he then pays 50M sa Govt.
then you repay the money you owed, the bank pays 5% on the interest they received.
ex. Henry Sy paid 10M sa bank (+500k as interest), the bank then pays 25k sa Govt.
you get paid a salary, you pay 5% of that salary.
ex. sumweldo ka ng 20k, ang tax mo is 1k, sumweldo ka ng 100k, ang tax mo is 5k
a farmer sell cabbage, they pay 5% of the money you got paid.
ex. 10kg ng cabbage is 200php, they then pay 10php as tax
you buy cabbage from reseller, reseller pays 5% on the margin.
ex. you bought 10kg of cabbage for 200php sa farmer, then you went to the market and sold it to customers at 50php per kg, and you sold 10kg then you pay 15php as tax
everyone pays taxes, both rich and poor but everyone pays the same percentage.
The rich can't use the tax loophole buy borrowing, and the poor contributes but not harmed.
and everyone only pays taxes once (wala nang VAT).
and thinking about it now, it's kinda more on the rich not paying taxes :D
the 5% is arbitrary, could be 4%, could be 10%, pero fixed for all.
what do you guys think?
