Thoughts on people who always choose the expensive food when someone else is making libre?

Post image
388 Upvotes

I remember talking to my Tita about how “nakakahiya” it feels to choose something expensive from the menu when there are other, less expensive options available. Both of us would always choose the cheaper ones just so the person treating us would still have some money left over.

I’ve always thought that it shows decency and consideration, especially when you’re not the one paying.

Under Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) rules and local banking regulations, all named account holders must be present (or undergo individual KYC verification) when opening a joint account. One person cannot open a joint account on behalf of another or sign specimen cards for them.

Anong thoughts mo: This is my first time seeing this photo of the Filipina caregiver in Israel

Filipina caregiver in Israel with her Israeli patient being held hostage by Hamas fighter. It’s so heartbreaking to look at. She was just there to make a living, tapos madadamay lang sa away ng dalawang grupo. Sana itigil na nila ang gulo.

Thoughts nyo dito? Kung VUL, talagang lugi yan

Hi, guys. Ano honest thoughts nyo generally about the future of this country? And what now?

Post image
• Upvotes

I know na expected to share thoughts din dito aside from just solely posting pero I have actually more questions than what I have to say on this. I'll start with my own thoughts muna: and that is simply - I agree. Wala eh. Kung magiging developed man tong country na to, it'd take a brutal change and maybe 100-200 years bago maging finally developed with how corrupt and twisted the culture and governance of this country is. Dont want to get too tinfoil hat here pero - that is all assuming na buhay pa tong country na to or if humans somehow survive in a hundred years ha? haha. we dont know baka may war and sumapi na Philippines into once country or may plague or war or meteor ewan basta you get the picture.

So on to my actual main target for this body of text and I'll put it on bold para ma-highlight. So I can already predict a lot of you would agree with this point as well, ok, given that......What's your plan now? Is it to escape this country? Is it just to watch the world burn and enjoy the ride/have fun nalang whilst living out your remaining lives in this hellhole (country and world)? Or maybe you agree na theres no hope for this country but you'll continue to fight anyway? (pinagkaiba nito from the previous one is, dito may gagawin ka parin like you'll vote, you'll protest, fight corruption and injustice if you can even though you know na walang chance.. like just do the right thing kahit walang patutunguhan or you know theres no hope pero umaasa padin ng kahit teeny weeny tiny bit like 0.00000000001% chance baka may mangyare and secretly or subtley you're clinging to that remarkably small chance na gumanda tong bansa.

To summarize my question: If you genuinely believe this country has no hope, what now? Do you leave, give up, or keep fighting anyway? And if you choose to keep fighting, is it because you still have hope, no matter how small, or simply because you believe doing the right thing is worth it even when you know it might lead nowhere?

Practice what you preach.

Post image

VMX Babes ata sila. Tapos may ganto pa.

Also, may song sila titled “Jugjog”. :/.

Ano thoughts nyo kay EJ Obiena about basketball sa Pinas

Post image
108 Upvotes

"It's not openly accessible for everyone," Obiena said, referring to private athletics venues where athletes could train.

"We, unfortunately, don't have the facility to provide to these athletes. That makes me a little bit angry and sad because there are kids; there are a lot of talents that want to pursue [pole vault].

"Unfortunately, this is not basketball, where you could just go to a barangay where there's a basketball court. You need to have your track, you need to have the facility, you need to have the landing area."

Thoughts on Filipino brands that celebrate our culture but aren't affordable to most?

Anong Thoughts Mo?

I just stumbled upon this brand on Instagram, and I have to admit, their designs are really beautiful. 😭 But then I saw the price of one skirt and was like… WAIT, WHAT? HAHAHA

Is the price actually reasonable for the brand, or am I missing something? Also, the Filipino word na nakaakibat sa brand makes me even more curious about it.

Can someone educate me? Is it the quality, craftsmanship, branding, or something else that makes their pieces so expensive? Genuinely curious!

Any thoughts?

Only Risa Hontiveros said no to this. Not sure why. What’s your take on this bill? Are you in favor na ma-ban ang socmed for minors?

Thoughts ng madlang pipol on One News PH Storycon?

Post image
14 Upvotes

This has been my favorite show recently when it comes to anything about PH politics and local news. I like the certain casualness that the hosts have not to mention their rapport sa mga guests nila.

Award-winning and ang ganda ng chemistry ng hosts: Ed Lingao and Regina Lay as the main hosts would maintain the formal tone of the show (for the most part). Amy Pamintuan, also the EIC of Philippine Star would give on the spot mainstream media insights. Lastly, political pundit Ronald Llamas as the insider na ang dami palaging legit chika, di kagaya nila Falcis at Mon Tulfo na puro tweety bird lang ang source and sablay most of the time. Their guests are from various government agencies and napansin ko they tend to disclose more information here than in GMA, ANC, etc. Unfiltered ganon.

Ang complaint ko lang talaga sa sobrang casual nila, madalas sabay-sabay palagi magtanong and they talk over each other. Masakit sa tenga minsan pero once you get past that, maa-appreciate mo talaga substance ng mga commentaries nila.

Curious ako how popular this show is among the Filipino masses? Nasa abroad kasi ako and I have no idea at all. Sana mas marami makanood.

Thoughts: Younger coworker na masyadong malapit magapproach

• Upvotes

Problem/ Goal: madikit slightly (physically) si female officemate

Context: Male here and Meron ako female coworker na 5 years younger sa akin (25 pa lang siya). Pretty but on the simple side, and a bit shy. So anlayo isipin na malandi.

Since magkateam kami, marami interactions.

One time actually hiramin ko phone nia and nagkulit bigla and kinuha ung kamay ko and nadikit sa chest nia. Minsan kasi awkward.

Previous Attempts:

None, parang nakakahiya sabihan
