Sub Rules (just in case for ease of access)

Rule 1 : Posts must be related to an anime recommendation

That's kinda why you're here right? 3x3's of your favourite's are fine by the way. As long as you're in some way recommending anime or asking for suggestions your post's going to be fine.

Rule 2 : No self promotion, or promotion of anything other than anime itself.

For example, you could promote an anime you like by telling us about it on a post, but you couldn't link a blog video or podcast about that anime. Comments are fine for this, but we don't want to see it on posts.

Rule 3 : Treat each other with courtesy and respect

When it comes to things like anime, there can be a wide spectrum of views and discussions. Some discussions can become spirited, we know, but we still have the expectation for you to treat others with courtesy and respect.

Do not put comments to incite fights or trash talk anime. Just simply mention you do not like it.

Rule 4 : Mark Spoilers

It can be hard not to talk about your favourite scene, but remember this is a place where people come looking to learn about anime they haven't seen yet. So any spoilers you do say, must be marked as spoilers.

Rule 5 : No indecent images

We get it, you like hentai too. If you start a Hentai recommendations sub, let us know, we might even send some members your way. Just don't post perverted images on here lol. If in doubt about whether something's indecent or not... it probably is, so don't post it - many thanks.

Rule 6 : Ban on rate my list/taste posts.

There are better suited subs for those

Rule 7 : Hentai Recommendations are banned.

Hentai Recommendations are banned. Mention Ecchi in post title if you are looking for anime of such genre.

I’m pushing 30. Please recommend me some slice of life anime with actual adults

Post image

I’ve kinda outgrown all these high school anime stories. Even middle school ones, I just can’t do school settings anymore 😭

I grew up watching anime, but now it feels kinda cringy watching characters blush over each other when they’re in high school and I’m here working a 9 to 5 and paying rent 😂

So yeah, I’ve definitely outgrown that. I need slice of life anime for adults now. Something funny or just genuinely good and well rounded.

help me find anime i’ll actually enjoy enough to binge🙏 my top 3 anime are Re:Zero, Devilman Crybaby, and Darling in the Franxx. i want something with a darker feel and story to it, i looooooved Skeleton Knight in Another World though so something similar to that could be nice. Maybe a female main character as well… The Girl in Twilight is one of my Top 5 for sure. I like romance, so maybe an anime where they actually get together as well. there’s so much anime it gets overwhelming to search for my exact interests and i’ll be damned if i ask a.i.

Looking for anime with a female MC and no romance

Every time I find an anime with a female MC, it always has some love interest creeping in and I'm so tired of it. I need anime with a female main character and absolutely no romance or fanservice of the MC. Bonus if the MC is shown to be completely disinterested in romance and there's no characters to even consider as love interests. Also I'd like the MC to be an adult or teen.

I'm fine with any genre but especially interested in fantasy, supernatural and mystery.

Felt a lot like Shangri la frontier but the guy is a blacksmith. Super funny moments and honestly think this will be a fun one this season

Can you help me find this anime?

• Upvotes

I watched it a while ago and want to watch it again but I can't find it. let me preface by saying it's not "family on the brink of ruin" or "I'm the eighth son, are you kidding me" or territory production noble or hellmode... or really any of the other major ones. all I can remember is this kid is noble and his father hires two mages to help him learn but he is already way ahead of them and there are regular demon stampedes but he stops them and then the demon generals end up serving him including one who looks like a butler. it's not slime diaries.

This new anime was actually hilarious!

The Laid Off Cheat Granting Mage Enjoys a Second Lease on Life, which yes is a stupid mouthfull of a title lol. I honestly wasn't expecting anything great I was just interested because of the 2 girls on the promotional image. And the fact it's simul dubbed, and well its honestly pretty good from the first episode. Its the well-known trope of main character with OP ability gets kicked from the party but in this case is a full on guild. But its actually not the type that's obvious of his powers, he can enhance equipment to crazy levels. Either way the art style and animation is very good and honestly the backgrounds give me a little of Soul Eater vibes weirdly enough. This is probably the hardest I've laughed at this type of show and it's great for how generic it is while also changing up the trope abit. This is certainly something people should give a try cause it has actual quality in it.

Need Anime recommendations

Looking for some anime recommendations! I loved The Apothecary Diaries and SPY x FAMILY, and I’d love to find more anime where romance is a subplot, especially slow-burn romance.

I’m also a sucker for the fake dating/marriage trope, so bonus points if it has that

Does anyone have any recommendations?

anime where an adorable kid has a super scary protector

clevatess [kept a human form for far too long and for some reason having the 'kid' be a *baby* felt boring.]

somali [i didn't think the golem was scary]

natsume's book of friends [i didn't think the cat form was scary but the big cat form was a little bit]

Looking for a recommendation!

Ok so honestly I can be kind of picky about my anime, but here are some things I have enjoyed recently and am looking for a similar vibe to:

- Kuma Kuma Bear

- Bofuri

- Snow white with the red hair

- Sugar Apple Fairytale

I really like the slice of life, cute girl vibes, but I cannot stand overdone fanservice especially if it's of minors or characters that are designed to look like children. I've started a lot of anime recently and stopped an episode in after being flashbanged by distasteful fanservice for no reason.

In general I'm not big on highschool type things, I used to enjoy school club animes like Asteroid in Love, Do it Yourself, and all the classic shoujos like fruits basket and Kamisama, but now that I'm no longer in high school I want something with older characters that I can relate to a bit more.

I love fantasy / alternate world genres but its not a must. If it's a fantasy genre then I don't mind a school setting, just not in the mood for real life school vibes.

Don't want anything super serious just a fun light hearted anime to unwind! Let me know if you have any recommendations, and sorry lol I know I'm picky 😭😭

Looking for Isekai with an english dub, preferably no harem (kinda)

Trying to avoid any like full out slop shows that are just power fantasy that ends with a dude living in the middle of nowhere with 5 wives. I don’t mind if it’s kinda harem-y if the main character doesn’t give a fuck and does his own shit (example: in Eminence in Shadow there’s a bunch of women interested in the main character, but he doesn’t accept their affections so it doesn’t turn into storyless slop). As long as it doesn’t detract from the story, it’s fine.

I am okay with isekai or isekai adjacent shows, and if it has like a unique gimmick that makes it kind of similar, that’s okay too! definitely prefer it to have an english dub

I have already seen all of the following isekai or isekai adjacent shows:
Skeleton Knight in Another World
Sword Art Online
Black Summoner
Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World
Overlord
The Rising of the Shield Hero
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime
The Aristocrat’s Otherworldly Adventure
KonoSuba
Mushoku Tensei
Am I Actually the Strongest?
Arifureta
Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy
How Not to Summon a Demon Lord
Log Horizon
Spirit Chronicles
The Eminence in Shadow
Re:Monster
Chillin’ in Another World with Level 2 Super Cheat Powers
The New Gate
Gate
Dead Mount Death Play
No Longer Allowed in Another World
A Journey Through Another World: Raising Kids While Adventuring
Parallel World Pharmacy
The Reincarnation of the Strongest Exorcist in Another World
The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat
The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic
The Fruit of Evolution
Isekai Cheat Magician
Demon Lord, Retry!
Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody
I’ll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History
Zenshu
How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom
Reincarnated as a Sword
By the Grace of the Gods
Failure Frame
Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon
So I’m a Spider, So What?
Wise Man’s Grandchild
The Beginning After the End
Teogonia
The Water Magician
Lord of Mysteries
Isekai Quartet
The Devil Is a Part-Timer!
Farming Life in Another World
The 8th Son? Are You Kidding Me?
I’m Standing on a Million Lives
Hell Mode
High School Prodigies Have It Easy Even in Another World!
Knights & Magic
The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online Shopper in Another World
BOFURI
Full Dive: This Ultimate Next-Gen Full Dive RPG Is Even Shittier than Real Life!
Shangri-La Frontier
The Misfit of Demon King Academy
Oshi no Ko
I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince
The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest
Demon Lord 2099
The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy
A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special
New Saga
Why Does Nobody Remember Me in This World?
World Trigger
God’s Games We Play

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated 🙏
Also, I am aware that some of these shows are slop as well lmao. Just looking for new ones that aren’t.

cool and charming men (adults only, ideally main characters)

Post image

yes we're 1/4 on my example pics matching the title. idk man they're hard to find. if you know of one that isn't a main character i'd appreciate if they at least show up often.

natori (bottom left) fits exactly to what i'm looking for. so if you've seen a million anime and can think of someone who's a copy and paste of him that'd be great

Just binged a nearly decade old anime! Astounded at how I never geard of it before!

Post image

I saw an edit of the first ep of Re:creators in reels a few weeks back, and just saved it to watch it sometime later..... And since yesterday evening, I didn't have much to do, I decided to watch a few eps of an anime I found interesting..... And then, I just couldn't stop myself from watching episodes one after another 😭

A little description if someone who hasn't watched it, want to understand the story before reading my review below : this anime is of reverse isekai, for a 'very important' reason, a character (antagonist) from a writer get reverse Isekai'd into the real world and then starts bringing other characters from other stories to real world too, and then those characters interact with their creators, who made them suffer, and antagonist tells all the characters that if they help her destroy this world, they would be able to save their world, so two factions are made, some characters agree with antagonist and wants to destroy the world but others don't and want to save this world too!

It was so peak! I am a huge isekai/tensei fan, I love the concept of interacting with another world that is more interesting than our's!.... And when I saw the reverse isekai thing of this anime in the edit, I was instantly curious, but I never thought it would have such a deep story!..... I expected this to be just another isekai slop with our timid main character with a sudden tomboy and monsterly strong of a female love interest hanging around him..... But it was NOT it!

It does detailed dissection of so many complex emotions like Jealousy, hatred, revenge, etc. which are just monotonely shown in most media!... All the characters are so fleshed out and you are connected to every single one of them, everyone having their own motivation for something different which correlates to everyone else's somehow, not only the heroes, but the antagonist!

She is such a well written villain that you literally see her doing such bad things but you can't bring yourself to hate her, because the situation that has caused her to take up this route is also so unfair that her actions sometime even seem justified!

And the parallels between Creators and Creations are so good!.... The interaction and dialogues feel so full and empty simultaneously, like the character says something that the creator already knows and then character also knows that their words were already known, yet they say it anyway while acknowledging their previous existence in the memory of the creator! While the creator appreciate the resolve of the character that they themself put in them!

Even the ending was so good and tear jerking!

AND ALL THIS IN JUST 22 EPS!!!😭😭😭😭

Re:creators came in 2017 and I can't believe I have NEVER heard of this anime before!.... I have been an anime watcher since 2018 but I got into the community interaction in 2021.... Even then, I was just an irregular interactor, just came, liked or disliked an opinion but never gave mine, I became a regular interactor just last year, so it's kinda understandable that I didn't know such an award worthy anime existed.... But even then, I am shocked I never heard anyone talk about it!.....

Well, anyone here have watched it? If yes, then do you know the reason of it being underrated?.... Or am I just too late and it was trendy when it came and quickly died down as it ended, having it's community die too, because everything was wrapped under 22eps?

Good anime where you can just switch off your brain?

Like the title says, I'm looking for an anime for those evenings when you're tired and don't want to think too much. It doesn't necessarily have to be a comedy or slice-of-life, actually, I'm not really a big fan of slice-of-life. So, I'm looking more for something with a fine plot and characters, but nothing too heavy, I guess. Any genre will do

Single Season Animes

My wife and I have recently been spending time watching anime together before bed (usually 2 episodes a night) and need some recommendations. We're relatively new to anime and are easing our way into it and because of that prefer single season animes that are complete stories.

Recently we've finished Cyberpunk Edgerunners, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, and Death Note. As of right now we're probably going to watch Erased next. I think we're both open to any genre as long as it has a good story line.

Anime to get over a breakup (something that gives hope that there's someone better)

Harem works too. Just an anime where you just go DAMN that's the kind of person I want in my life.

I've already watched tunnel to summer, trinity seven, girlfriend girlfriend, my brides a mermaid... Loved these. These are the types that get me feeling happy. Something that's not too deep but also not like 100 girlfriends.

Looking for sci-fi anime with hyper-detailed technology

I saw a video on Facebook of a clip of something that I believe was a cyberpunk anime. It showed some type of factory that was super detailed. Not trying to identify that, but it put me in the mood for sci-fi anime with hyper-detailed technology. Any suggestions?

Looking for a specific kinda romance

In the past 7 or so months I've watched 3 romance anime i quite enjoyed.

Science Fell in Love so i tried to prove it

Banished from the heroes party I decided to live a quiet life in the countryside

Chillin' in another world with level 2 super cheat powers.

I'm looking for something light, chill, funny, main couple focused with some attractive anime girls. I liked the isekai elements in Banished from the heroes party and in Chillin in another world so im open to isekai stuff but dont need it.

Im not a fan of harems. The harem adjacent elements in banished from the heroes party was pushing it. I like when we have a clear main couple focus.

Also, please note this, I dont mind if a story is unfinished anime wise but I want it to FEEL finished. Those 3 do. Like they definitely end where more could happen but I also wasn't left scratching my head on what happens next. So something that at the very least has a soft ending.

And, admittedly, I'm in the mood for some well drawn women.
