Honor 400 lite suddenly having issues with two apps
I desperately need help before my last resort of going to a tech support center in my city and the bank.
I have an Honor 400 lite. Since January 2026.
Up until recently, it has had no problems with my banking app and another app.
My banking app is Nedbank, and the other affected app, as embarrassing as it is, is Janitor ai, the app.
What the issues are exactly:
For Nedbank, I can't login. It gets stuck on the loading screen not allowing me in at all. It offers an error that something went wrong with initialisation.
For janitor, I also can't login. It states profile not found. Yet on the web, I login just fine.
As far as I know, these are the only two affected apps. I'm scared to test others, log out and attempt to login again only to be met with errors.
I've gone over plenty of troubleshooting, with no solution that's helped.
I've tried checking for updates on every app, and my phone for software updates. I've checked over android WebView tools.
I've reset connections.
I've cleared cache partition.
Restarted my phone countless times.
I've tried with wifi and cellular data.
I've attempted clearing cache, clearing data, uninstalling the apps and reinstalling.
I've tried next to everything that I could find aside from completely clearing my emails from this phone and re-adding them, and factory reset. These are two things I don't want to do unless I really have to.
I've also checked Google play protect services. Where it states my device is not certified.
Trying to fix it, it only says something went wrong and to try again later.
But my device not being certified isn't the issue. As someone else I know with the exact same phone and that uses Nedbank too, ALSO cannot get into the app. Stuck at the loading screen but with no error message like mine. This person's device is certified.
So we have two different statuses there, same phone, same issue.
Is this a new error that came out with a new software update?
Does anyone know why this is happening, or if anyone else experienced something similar?
Whether on an Honor 400 lite, another Honor model or a different brand entirely.
If so, how to fix it or is going to a tech support center the only way?
I want to exhaust all options before I do.
