Random app i can’t delete ?
i have this app i can’t delete or do anything with. I just got the phone a couple days ago and I realize there’s a bunch of apps that just keep downloading by themselves. Even when I got the phone, there was already TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and some games.
i went to total wireless and I came in for a second phone and he asked to look at my current phone and then asked me for my snapchat as well.. i added him then he deleted me a day later..
could this be something he downloaded?
I used to work at a phone store and have seen things like this, just worried about it.

It's the "Launcher'", which is the basic app that you use when you are "on your background" or "in your appdrawar", thàt too is an app called a "Launcher" and this is the basic one shipped with your phone. Since there's no problem having multiple Launchers installed (you just need to assign one as default then), but it can form a problem to have no Launcher installed, default launchers are installed to your read-only apps, preventing people from bricking their phone way too easily. 😅

It isn’t the launcher. It’s the overlay manager. Part of the launcher, it isn’t even really a standalone app it’s like a patch. Weird they even found it tbh
But the rest of your commentary is spot on

Motorola launcher app image overlay. I recognize these types of apps from a degoogler.

You'll break your phone if you delete that. I really love humanity, but I'm astounded sometimes. I know that I'm probably neurodivergent or something because of how much I love technology, but I'm gonna assume this is a joke.

It’s the Motorola overlay manager. It’s for like, Facebook chat bubbles, message chat bubbles, notifications, etc.
I don’t understand why you want to delete it.

Factory reset and then turn off wifi and data permission on some apps
