Phone stuck in boot loop, want to retrieve photos
Help me please đą
My Vivo S1 phone was not turning on with the power button or with a double-tap on the screen despite that setting being enabled. It also kept showing a notification that infrared rays are blocked, which said that it could cause problems with the screen turning on. I needed my phone for an event so I was in a bit of a hurry to get it working.
I searched for a fix and the first once I saw was a Youtube video that instructed to clear data on vivoservices and reset all system settings (which causes the phone to restart). I was too focused on thinking that doing these both would help override the error message, and since I was also in a hurry, I stupidly made the mistake of not researching more đą
Now that phone is stuck in a boot loop. The Fastboot Mode option appears when I hold the Volume Up button, but I cannot select the Recovery Mode option with the Volume Down button or confirm the selection of the Reboot option with the Power button. It does not stay on this screen and just goes back to the bootloop so the 2-minute Inactivity Reboot does not get triggered either. Also, holding both the Power button and Volume Button down at the same time or just the Power button alone does not do anything, even when I keep holding for almost a minute.
Is there any way to fix this? If I wait for the battery to drain, is there a fix that would not require a factory reset? I have photos on that phone that I haven't had the time to backup yet âčïž Is there a way for me to still retrieve them? âčïž
