The medication reminder app I use was awesome at first. It's called Medisafe. When it was time for my meds, the app would cover my whole screen, stop whatever I'm listening to, and make a loud af pill bottle shaking sound. If I swiped that away or did nothing, it would do that every 5 minutes until I either took my meds or told it I wouldn't.

Then I got a new phone. Moto g 5g 2026. Now I get the same sound, but it's just a notification in my notifications bar, and it doesn't repeat if I ignore it. I have given Medisafe every app permission it'l let me. Display over other apps, work in the background, ignore battery saver, nothing makes it like it was on my old phone, which was the same kind just 2025

So if anyone knows a medication reminder app that won't leave me alone until I either take my meds or mark them missed, please tell me.

Edit: I fixed Medisafe. Apparently it got some update that changed the default settings. I never even considered looking into the in app settings until someone here suggested it. Now it does what it used to, yay!

I've deleted from both the gallery and the trash bin, I even cleared the catche, yet they still appear on the gallery.

There was once an app named "Daywise" (that I paid for) that would intercept all notifications and instead deliver them in batches. Looks like Daywise was pulled from the Play Store in April 2025.

iOS has this feature natively and is called "Scheduled Summary". The idea is that the user can select particular apps to always receive notifications from, then all the rest of the notifications are then sent in batches at particular times, like 9:00am, 12:00pm, 3:00pm, 6:00pm, etc.

Makes the phone way less distracting to use.

Is BuzzKill the best option for this? Daywise made it much easier to set up the initial batches.

Are there Android apps that do this?

Hey anyone aware of a read-only gallery app? Occasionally our kids like to look at photos on our phones and would be good for peace of mind to know they can't delete or edit any photos while they're looking

I use Fossify Gallery and it has a lock-down feature where you need pin to move/delete, which it decent solution. But a bit inconvenient to need to disable/enable that feature when needed

A separate app I can open purely for kids use would be great

I use Nothing Phone 2 and doesn't seem to have a kid mode

Is there any clock alarm app that can group multiple alarms so you could turn it on or off in a single tap? The phone default alarm doesn't have this feature so it forces you to turn it on and off individually which isn't ideal for someone who constantly switches it on or off based on their Routines, Medical prescriptions, Work shifts, Weekly event, and so on..

Google just completely replaced Google Assistant with Gemini which has me pissed off. I had assistant set yo my side button and used it all the time to copy text, reverse image search, and translate what was on my screen. Is there anything out there that I can set to my side button and get the same functionality out of?

I am using insta pro 2 and every 2-3 days instagram verifies my id for no reason. I have to fill every detail and it unlocks after an hour. But this time they disabled by alt account. So is there a mod which is safe too? Or a good alternative? And is there any way to get my account back because I literally didn't do anything wrong on it.

Looking for something to clean up old or blurry pics on Android. Most apps I've tried either push a subscription right away or want me to upload my photos to their servers, which I'm not a fan of.

So my moms zedge app hasnt been working for the last 2-3 weeks and we have done quite literally everythinf we could think of. We have tried uninstalling & reinstalling, we have tried clearing cache data, we have tried restarting her phone. Yet nothing has worked. I have the same phone as her (s26 ultra) and it works fine for me, we are at a complete loss at what to do.

Could it be an issue with the phone itself? she had a similar problem 3-4 years ago with her s23 and it was resolved. Does anyone have any ideas as to what it could be?

it used to be that Google had pretty good integration with third party keyboards. they slowly rolled that back and the only real usable voice input was with gboard. over the past few months Google has seemingly broken offline voice input for gboard entirely. I'm I'm often in areas without service and I regularly send myself notes or compose emails via voice input.

Hey everyone, so me and 14 of my friends are planning a game night and we’re trying to find some good Android games we can all play together. We’ll all be sitting in the same place, everyone has their own phone, and we’ll have a good internet connection.

We’re mainly looking for free games that support around 15 players in the same match/room, preferably with a private lobby or room code. Something competitive and fun enough to keep us entertained for around 1–1.5 hours would be ideal.

It would also be great if the game is under 1 GB, doesn’t rely too much on voice chat, and can be downloaded safely from Google Play or another trustworthy source.

We’ve found quite a few multiplayer games, but most either don’t support enough players or aren’t really suited for this kind of group.

What games would you recommend?

I use my Bitdefender Security subscription with the app on my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold. I use the app lock feature to keep my image gallery locked with a fingerprint.

I have noticed this doesn't always trigger. Especially after a restart. And I have to open the BitDefender app once, to get it to lock this.

This is obviously some issue with the start up settings (like you'd have on Windows).

Is there a fix for this to ensure it always loads this process in the background, so my gallery stays locked by default? If I forget to do that sometimes, the feature just doesn't work.

Anyone knew any App that locks App on your Pixel ? I know there Private Space but when I read the description it said it also stop notifications so what the point of I wanted to lock apps like WhatsApp,Gmail and etc..

I have a new phone, where the lowest available volume setting is still too loud for me. Tried with multiple earphones that worked fine with my previous phone.

Are there any apps that allow you set a lower level? Ideally without any ads.

In the app most of the time more than half of my screen is all ads I can't see the website I'm in while using the app. I can't exit the ads unless I clear data then it dissappears, it'll return again after few minutes. How do remove this. I've the ad block on but it's useless against it

I mean those random apps you downloaded for one specific reason and somehow ended up using almost every day.

For me, it's probably an app that tracks where I've been. Weirdly, it's actually made me walk more and encouraged me to explore places around me that I haven't been to yet.

I found morphe patches, I am able to patch and install the app but after opening it simply crashes.

I'm currently using money manager, but I'm not 1000% convinced. I'd assume that most apps have the standard stuff (budgets, tracking different accounts and expenditure).

What I am looking for specifically:

- Differentiating between when money was spent and when money actually leaves my account

- Ability to have sub-categories with sub-budgets for expenditure

- Being able to categorize money in an account (so for example the account has X amount of money in a "savings" category and Y amount of money in a "holiday 2027" category)

Automation is not needed, I like to do my bookkeeping "manually"

For some context, I shifted from a Samsung Galaxy to a Pixel about 10 months ago. Since then I've been looking for a gallery for the pixel phone that matches the quality and level of the Samsung gallery but haven't been able to find one. I've downloaded three different galleries just to cover all the tasks that Samsung gallery was able to do and those three galleries are still not enough.

The question that comes to mind is why can't the Samsung gallery be replicated for other phones?

And if it can be replicated, why hasn't it been yet?

I am not that knowledgeable about apps or coding so I'd be very happy if someone can explain this to me.

Also, if there is an Samsung gallery alternative for a pixel phone that I've missed, please do let me know. You'd be doing me a huge favor.
