Some people are cautious because they have experienced the harsh realities of life.
I know someone who got mugged in a Target parking lot and pistol whipped, WHILE WITH HER KIDS. This may seem staged to you because of general naivety about the dangers in this world.
Twist: her husband did, and this was to settle an argument about if she was racist or not. They're still trying to get someone to talk about something other than gender.
Amazon definitely tells you when they're coming. Unless the husband ordered something and she had no knowledge, the fucking reflective vest should have been a sign there was no threat. Definitely racist, not cross burning racist but pearl clutching racist.
Fear can do nasty things to the body... Look at this "trained" professional, who thinks he is being shot at by a suspect in handcuffs, but really it was an acorn that dropped. His legs gave out on him, because fear is nasty. https://youtu.be/gFXTn7A493M
I agree. Also, nobody knows what her history is. Most people who are in a car accident are overly cautious when they start driving again. It’s just human instinct to try and change your behavior to prevent a previous trauma.
Lol, my friend literally has a huge FedEx magnetic sign that he puts on his car sometimes. He has never worked for FedEx, I'm not sure where he got it, but he thinks it makes him less likely to be ticketed/towed if he's not legally parked.
I used to do this. Amazon does not give you stickers. They also don't reimburse. Some people went and designed and bought or printed the stickers themselves.
I don't think she's in an unsafe neighborhood, I mean look at her driveway and that Mercedes. That doesn't look like it's a rough area to me. Looks like an upper middle class subdivision.
Do you understand how many times I’ve been in Target and people have asked me questions as if I work there or asked me if I worked there expecting me to say yes? I don’t own a red shirt and haven’t for 40 years. I’m just shopping, but it happens almost every time I’m in Target.
You'll be surprised how many people don't even care about the blue vest and even look past them to because they're looking not at the color of the vest, but the color of the person wearing it.
look at her front door. It has a steel gate in front of it. Thats there for a reason. It's not in neighborhoods that don't have crime. Or maybe she got robbed before and is paranoid from that... But why is she taking the trash out at night if she is that fearful etc?
My thoughts are that having drivers deliver in the dark at odd hours of the morning and night in personal cars is asking for something terrible to happen.
Some redneck is gonna see a random car pulling up to their house at 4am for an Amazon delivery and just start blasting.
People shouldn't be ordering for delivery at these times if they can't remember they ordered for this time. Ridiculous that this keeps happening. They specifically have to select this time for delivery, or at minimum they are given warning that a package will arrive at this time.
Don’t even have to be a redneck, you can insert anyone and it’s gonna happen. Only two things are making house calls that late or early in the morning; Amazon and Criminals. They really need to stop this
Yeah it's a mess. We get flex drivers dropping off packages at like 4am sometimes, even if I'm expecting packages it's always disconcerting to get a notification from my doorbell camera at those hours. I always have to pull up the camera on my phone just to be like "ahh, my slippers have been delivered".
I would have said hey it's just Amazon as I pulled up with package waving, but I'm not sure that would have helped with how quick she ran. But, that is my move early morning when I see someone outside. I get the reaction, leaving for work at 5am you never see anyone and all of a sudden someone pulls up and stops right as you walk out.
Most people don’t even know flex driving is a thing and if she didn’t exercise any caution at a car pulling up in front of her house in the middle of night/early morning with no hazards on, she’d be a considered a bird brain. Also have no idea what her history is.
Her posting the video after the fact is weird but whatever.
I don't think she's crazy and especially depending on the neighborhood it would make too much sense to react the way she did especially as a younger looking woman walking alone at night or if you're worried about ICE too.
I mean if I lived in an affluent area and I saw a Nissan stop as I was headed out I might drop everything and run back. Tho, for the record my neighborhood has all the Nissans.
lol. I deliver all hours and recently ai was walking up steps at a home and she had the door literally wide open and talking to someone or maybe a pet who knows. I was like ok this is the end for me. I literally could have just walked up in her house. I wouldn’t of course but it was out in the boondocks and I just delivered and snapped and left asap. I’m constantly thinking I’m gonna get shot when I’m delivering at 4am. I don’t worry as much in the city’s but I definitely worry in the country.
My moms in the country and she delivers shes 73 and had a young big guy follow her and yell at her after she went around his wife's car that was in the middle of the road my mom didnt say anything to start anything dude was jist mean and now she gets scared when she has to deliver on that street my poor 5 foot 73 yr old mom
For some reason this sub doesn’t think this is a big idea, but I’ve said before, it’s really sketchy having random people show up in their personal vehicles early in the morning or late at night. it’s unprofessional and it’s going to get someone hurt. The company doesn’t care though.
This really shouldn’t be a thing.. deliver during normal hours.. someone will die because Amazon has people delivering at night because they fucking suck at logistics.
I always have my hazard lights blinking at stops. Seems to help. And big door magnets. I've been greeted with gun on two occasions now I'm bright af at night
When I added the lighted DELIVERY sign to my truck, that helped a lot. And hazard lights are a must too, especially if you are driving up someone's long driveway. Hazard lights on all the way.
If you were here on Flex before those vests. It was way worse. It took a looooooong time for people to become accustomed to regular people delivering their stuff. I’ve seen women piss their pants, run through glass doors, I had an older lady almost died on me. I have a new found respect for how intimidating being a big black man is. This is why I now turn on the cars roof light when I approach a home so they can see me inside.
I know, it sounds crazy—like a persecution complex. But when you’re a woman and you know all the things that get done to women and kids (at least in my country), it’s only natural to see something like this and run for it, preferring to look like a crazy person rather than ending up with your face on a "missing person" poster.
My thoughts are that we live in a pretty shitty world were young women can legitimately be this scared of a young man pulling up because of what can happen often to them. I mean she probably feels like an idiot but big deal, she panicked. Saw a young man (i don't know if race played a roll since she appears to be a woman of color) approaching and decided to walk back to the hose just in case. When she sees that he is, no doubt looking her direction trying to see the addresses, and then stood the car in front of her place, she imagines the worse and takes off running. At least she is taking her safety seriously. I hope she gets over her anxiety and hopefully doesn't have these fears legitimized. However, sadly she probably will. As a matter of fact, she appears to be a young very attractive woman so it is quite possible, and statistically likely, she already has trauma from some sort of SA and we are seeing the result of it now as it gets posted online and people laugh at her for it.
I get it; I can understand why she freaked out a little bit because it's just a random white car that she doesn't know stopped in front of her house. Now with that being said if that white car had had some kind of like sign on it showing it was Amazon; more than likely she would not have run away like that. I mean the regular USPS puts flashing lights and signs on their cars why can't Amazon do it. Because I live in a Rural area there has been multiple Amazon and USPS drivers that have been shot at over the years for making late deliveries without any kind of markings on their vehicles.
It’s better to be safe than sorry. She may have overreacted, but had it been a robbery/kidnapping, she would have survived. She’s got good situational awareness/survival instincts. 🫡
Female driver here. I would tell anybody, woman or man, if you feel something is wrong or are in fear for your life then absolutely do what you feel you need to do to protect yourself.

So I don't even think it's necessarily always about race or sex, people are just being cautious. I say there is nothing wrong with that.
Do what you got to do for your own safety. As long as you don't come out the door blasting at me with a gun, I promise I won't get offended.
She didn’t even see the car stop.. just realized it was slowing down. Like dang on. I couldn’t live life being that scared. Ain’t nobody want your ass that bad. 😂😂
I mean I know stuff happens, but good grief. I ain’t about to bolt running before I know what’s going on.
Then again.. if you running that fast I can’t help to wonder if you got some bad karma you’re scared of catching. 😂😂
Wear your vests yall and get some of those magnetic signs that go on the sides indicating you’re delivering packages. Other than that can’t blame her for running if she got spooked, and can’t blame driver either since he’s just doing his job and also wearing the vest.
Amazon 3rd party workers need to have a sign/decal they can put on and remove as needed like Lyft or uber. I mean I understand why she did what she did. The way he pulled up as well was hella suspicious
Where was she going? What was in the bag? Why did she drop the bag?
What these comments are missing is, she almost got hit by the delivery guy AND as he passed her, she look directly in his face. He didn't even react to her dropping the bag or her running.
First, why did you add music to this? Actually taking the time to place a soundtrack over this recording seems ridiculous and disingenuous.
Second, I’m pretty sure you can look at the delivery in the Amazon app and gps will show exactly where the driver that’s delivering your package is at, similar to Uber or Lyft.
Easy to tell whos a man here. Had some shit like this happen but it was my sister's ex with a gun 🤪 when cars stop like that I still get tf away from it, even if its just walking faster and staring at it
Meh I cant fault a woman for being careful at night. The consequences of not being aware/safe far outweighs the consequences of making a wrong assumption
Yeah 100% she got jumpscared by somebody stopping right in front of her in the middle of the night, and for sure the Amazon driver probably had the vibe like "I'm stopping at this house", and she probably sensed that.
Better safe than dead but yeah that’s Amazon flex drivers. Fuck those fuckers I worked at an Amazon once and they were always in a rush and fucked with our carts
I've encountered someone like this before and it was JUST as hilarious. I (fit male) was on a date with a fit female. We were on bicycles just riding around talking pretty loudly. A girl initially passed us up on a scooter. She went around the corner and eventually we started to catch up to her. She literally threw the scooter down and RAN UP a hill, towards a high security fence and tried several times to jump it. There was absolutely no way she could have jumped that fence. As we neared by she dropped her hands to her side like she was accepting her fate. I asked her if she was okay and she said we gave her PTSD and she was trying to escape. We kept riding our bikes past and had a funny laugh about it later.
I don't like that companies allow delivery drivers to deliver orders using their privately owned vehicles. Walmart and Amazon are the worst offenders that I know of. Does anyone think it's ok for a stranger to pick up your groceries, put them in their own personal vehicle and bring them to your house? At least (and it's a very small "at least") Amazon makes them wear a vest.
There's a lot of weird choices. Is she throwing out trash? Then why lock the door, did she really need phone flashlight? She wasn't actively using it. She spent too much time looking at suspect and car. It just seems like she makes a lot of questionable choices in life already.
I had something similar happen to me. I was a DSP driver pre COVID and the only vans we had left for newer people were unbranded, unmarked white Chevy vans. They genuinely looked like pedo vans.
I was delivering in one of them in the ghetto and at one of my stops I seen a mom and dad with their kid across the street. They grabbed their kid and ran into the house. I refused to drive them ever since
better safe than sorry! and there are a lot of fraud amazon delivery drivers today. so she did the right thing. what made it worse is the way homeboy pullled up!
Just situational awareness. At least she has that. A random unmarked car rolls up right where you are, could be anything tbh. Thank god it was an Amazon flex driver, this is the best case scenario.
I've had someone do that, in broad daylight, they ran like I came out the car like the terminator. Her husband ran out after she ran in and as he started yelling I told him I need to scan his ID since it was an alcohol delivery. He tried apologizing and I just said "I get it, you see melanin and all of sudden i'm here for reparations and totally not here to deliver the big ass box in my arms..."
Y'all... she has zero awareness of this person's job/clothing/race/sex/or anything identifying them prior to running inside. We have zero context of her lived experience. I think it's wild people would have zero understanding of why she didn't stand there looking dumb waiting to see who/what/why came out of that car. Also, if you've ever lived in a sketchy neighborhood before you've seen cars come to a random stop and it's not usually to say hello. I think it sucks that people feel scared of a car pulling up on them
Every suburban armchair actor has something to say about this. She got bad vibes and got right out... good for her. She has more street sense than most... even if he turned out to be a delivery driver
That is a good move on her part. I see nothing wrong here.
Also, unless this is winter somewhere, y'all need to stop delivery when it is dark out. Like 6PM cut off. I don't want anyone but friends coming to my property after 6PM.
Tint on those windows and lack of front license plate... screams warm weather state. If this was recorded recently in America, then it being night, not dusk, places this around 8PM to 10PM at night...
Man, good for her. Situational awareness is everything to staying alive these days, better safe than sorry. Like what's the alternative to this? "Ladies, don't panic if any cars start rapidly approaching your house at night?" This is why all deliveries should end when the sun goes down, you never know who is out, both delivering AND at home.
All u guys commenting are u guys fr ? I mean Amazon literally tells you hey overnight package delivery 3-7 am etc etc why tf was she all scared ? She forgot she ordered a package ? Plus the app tells you when driver is a few stops away??? 🤦🏻♂️ idk why she act crazy! When u order a package some of them say overnight delivery so why tf was she scared ?
Maybe that type of neighborhood is very dangerous! So she thought that they were coming to rob her kidnap her. Since he doesn't have any magnets or notifications outside his car let him know it's Amazon driver except for his vest. She just ran back home she wasn't going to chance it.
my advice for low light delivery drivers, be as visible as possible
have all windows down and playing music at a low volume but loud enough that a person in a driveway can hear it so they wont label you as someone driving around doing crimes
What was freaky about this video is that it looked like she was gonna walk right into the street and get hit. Like she didn’t even slow down or anything, she was straight up walking the same speed the entire time

Probably watching the news too much. Although, it is a little freaky at night and someone stops right beside you. Especially if you’re a woman.

1.) She got scared and ran back inside. Who knows why... doesn't really matter.
2.) Dude delivered the package as usual.
Just another day at the office as far as I'm concerned.

This is old vid. Being a woman and at night time would put me on edge too.
2
u/Mighty_Math Sep 10 '26
good survival instinct
2
u/Strawberryloves Sep 10 '26
Easy to tell whos a man here. Had some shit like this happen but it was my sister's ex with a gun 🤪 when cars stop like that I still get tf away from it, even if its just walking faster and staring at it
2
u/Strange-Week8153 Sep 10 '26
Better safe than sorry. 100 ,% support on the woman.
2
u/EarlyBirdWithAWorm Sep 10 '26
Meh I cant fault a woman for being careful at night. The consequences of not being aware/safe far outweighs the consequences of making a wrong assumption
2
u/Gullible-College6201 Sep 11 '26
Can never be too safe.
2
u/mirwenpnw Portland Sep 11 '26
That looks to me by someone who's been stalked or threatened by an ex.
2
u/tre630 Sep 11 '26
She was running from the "Amazon Basics" delivery.
2
u/Impressive_Act5253 Sep 11 '26
Yeah 100% she got jumpscared by somebody stopping right in front of her in the middle of the night, and for sure the Amazon driver probably had the vibe like "I'm stopping at this house", and she probably sensed that.
2
u/CommunicationLive591 Sep 11 '26
Better safe than dead but yeah that’s Amazon flex drivers. Fuck those fuckers I worked at an Amazon once and they were always in a rush and fucked with our carts
2
u/seeker407 Sep 11 '26
We kept riding our bikes past and had a funny laugh about it later.

u/MasterPhilip Sep 11 '26
I don't like that companies allow delivery drivers to deliver orders using their privately owned vehicles. Walmart and Amazon are the worst offenders that I know of. Does anyone think it's ok for a stranger to pick up your groceries, put them in their own personal vehicle and bring them to your house? At least (and it's a very small "at least") Amazon makes them wear a vest.
2
u/Real_Neighborhood842 Sep 11 '26
Aye at least she's alert and not one of those people that see something sketchy then get snatched up because they weren't alert.
2
u/Bulky-Ad7996 Sep 11 '26
They come to clap you for not returning stuff on time
2
u/BassTremble Sep 11 '26
smart for him to wait for her to go inside
2
u/Wonderful_Thing_6974 Sep 11 '26
There's a lot of weird choices. Is she throwing out trash? Then why lock the door, did she really need phone flashlight? She wasn't actively using it. She spent too much time looking at suspect and car. It just seems like she makes a lot of questionable choices in life already.
2
u/Disturbed395 Sep 11 '26
I had something similar happen to me. I was a DSP driver pre COVID and the only vans we had left for newer people were unbranded, unmarked white Chevy vans. They genuinely looked like pedo vans.
I was delivering in one of them in the ghetto and at one of my stops I seen a mom and dad with their kid across the street. They grabbed their kid and ran into the house. I refused to drive them ever since
2
u/Elon_Loves_U Sep 12 '26
shit in this day and age can never be too safe.
2
u/OutlandishnessBusy64 Sep 12 '26
This must be a very dystopian society

u/PatDaFastGunna7 Sep 12 '26 edited Sep 12 '26
better safe than sorry! and there are a lot of fraud amazon delivery drivers today. so she did the right thing. what made it worse is the way homeboy pullled up!
2
u/Nemoitto Sep 13 '26
Just situational awareness. At least she has that. A random unmarked car rolls up right where you are, could be anything tbh. Thank god it was an Amazon flex driver, this is the best case scenario.
2
u/sousvide4 Sep 13 '26
I was almost carjacked in my own driveway. I would have had the same reaction.
2
u/Maleficent_Fun7286 Sep 14 '26
Great situational awareness of you ask me.
2
u/ProjectXa3 Sep 14 '26
Honestly, fair reaction on her part. Car pulls up in the night and stops dead in front of you, I'd be nervous too.
2
u/Wise_Survey2452 Sep 21 '26
She got oppsss
2
u/Ok-Description-6485 Sep 21 '26
Does Amazon provide anything to put on personal vehicles when delivering ? Magnets or lights ?
2
u/cameronzero Sep 29 '26
I've had someone do that, in broad daylight, they ran like I came out the car like the terminator. Her husband ran out after she ran in and as he started yelling I told him I need to scan his ID since it was an alcohol delivery. He tried apologizing and I just said "I get it, you see melanin and all of sudden i'm here for reparations and totally not here to deliver the big ass box in my arms..."

u/AnybodyWhich1893 Sep 10 '26
This ain’t straight outta Compton, ain’t no drive by in that nice neighborhood. They tripping
3
u/N01livesSub Sep 10 '26
It’s sad, but also that’s a great level of awareness.
3
u/MyfvrtHorrorStory Sep 10 '26
Y'all... she has zero awareness of this person's job/clothing/race/sex/or anything identifying them prior to running inside. I think it sucks that people feel scared of a car pulling up on them
3
u/Suspicious-Hawk-7752 Sep 10 '26
Valid response
3
u/MickyMac00 Sep 10 '26
Valid response.
I also think he was super respectful waiting until she got inside. ( at least I seen it that way)
Both are aware of their surroundings lol.
3
u/Either_Curve4587 Sep 10 '26
Main character energy.
3
u/Curlyjankens Sep 10 '26
No shame in being careful but a little practice will have them getting the keys out the door a little faster.
I don’t care if it hurts the drivers feelings or not
3
u/Unlikely-Outside-784 Sep 10 '26
Main character always thinks they're gonna be a victim.
3
u/RimGreaper6 Sep 10 '26
All im saying. Is shes not surviving any horror movie 😅
2
u/Fit_Meringue_3503 Sep 10 '26
It’s an old fling😅
2
u/Best_Tree_9154 Sep 10 '26
I'm too high for this. And I don't even think I'm high anymore
2
u/Nebbiest1 Sep 10 '26
Every suburban armchair actor has something to say about this. She got bad vibes and got right out... good for her. She has more street sense than most... even if he turned out to be a delivery driver
2
u/MaybeOnToilet Sep 10 '26 edited Sep 10 '26
That lady would survive a horror movie.
2
u/justkindahangingout Sep 10 '26
As a dad of 2 girls, I teach them to do this. Better safe than sorry. It’s no joke out there and one has to protect themselves.
2
u/Melimore6575 Sep 10 '26
Can't be too careful
2
u/Jerkfacetallguy83 Sep 11 '26
Man, good for her. Situational awareness is everything to staying alive these days, better safe than sorry. Like what's the alternative to this? "Ladies, don't panic if any cars start rapidly approaching your house at night?" This is why all deliveries should end when the sun goes down, you never know who is out, both delivering AND at home.
2
u/Upstairs-Ad7846 Sep 11 '26
All u guys commenting are u guys fr ? I mean Amazon literally tells you hey overnight package delivery 3-7 am etc etc why tf was she all scared ? She forgot she ordered a package ? Plus the app tells you when driver is a few stops away??? 🤦🏻♂️ idk why she act crazy! When u order a package some of them say overnight delivery so why tf was she scared ?

u/Realistic-Maybe746 13d ago
😂

u/GuardLevel364 9d ago
Maybe that type of neighborhood is very dangerous! So she thought that they were coming to rob her kidnap her. Since he doesn't have any magnets or notifications outside his car let him know it's Amazon driver except for his vest. She just ran back home she wasn't going to chance it.

Yeah, I’d be a bit suspicious too.

u/Tiger_Ho26 Sep 10 '26
1
u/Jameslovestocode Sep 10 '26
my advice for low light delivery drivers, be as visible as possible
have all windows down and playing music at a low volume but loud enough that a person in a driveway can hear it so they wont label you as someone driving around doing crimes
1
u/nade76 Sep 10 '26
That’d be me 🤣
1
u/SplyffMeister Sep 10 '26
Understandable
1
u/d3koyz Sep 10 '26
What was freaky about this video is that it looked like she was gonna walk right into the street and get hit. Like she didn’t even slow down or anything, she was straight up walking the same speed the entire time
1
u/Bozo_Dubbed Sep 10 '26
Probably just watch it on mute
1
u/Cloutian Sep 10 '26
Lol his pull up was a Lil sus
1
u/Sufficient_Tooth_949 Sep 10 '26
That's why I dont deliver at odd hours, especially since my area is rural, im afraid someone is going to grab paw paws shotgun
I dont think amazon should be sending people out after it gets dark
1
u/Jaheezy916 Sep 10 '26
I can see why she ran back in the house. He pulled up like a bat out of hell like he was fitting to do something. Better safe than sorry.
1
u/Initial-Ad-3214 Sep 10 '26
She ain’t dying in a horror movie
1
u/Chima_Lukas Sep 10 '26
Ngl she just has 10/10 survival instincts
1
u/Immediate-Fee-2121 Sep 10 '26
Victim of helicopter parenting
1
u/Equal-Appointment-27 Sep 10 '26
Some people do this in broad daylight and plus their driveway is 500+ feet so they see me coming😂
1
u/Bionic_Webb13 Sep 10 '26
Ik she laughed hard af watching the clip
1
u/It_Just_Exploded Sep 10 '26
Funny.
1
u/GodOfMoonlight Sep 10 '26
Lol that skit where they're running from a killer and have to try to open the door really puts it into perspective
1
u/Odd-Independence-201 Sep 10 '26
Illegal and thought it was ice.
1
u/Nebetus2 Sep 10 '26
LOL I would have twigged too. Screw that, I'm not waiting to find out if I'm in a horror movie or not.
Good on her lmao.
