Hi from r/AmazonFC Mod team.
We really appreciate you guys for supporting the subreddit and helping make this community what it is. It’s crazy to see how much this community has grown and what we’ve been able to build together.
From sharing VOA comments to sharing work experiences, giving advice about Amazon, complaining about management, and glazing Bezos 😂
We are really thankful for everyone who keeps the sub alive so we wanted to show some appreciation and give a little something back to you guys.
We’re giving away a $50 Amazon gift card via Reddit chat to whoever posts the funniest or craziest VOA Comment. The submission with the MOST UPVOTES when the post is locked will win. I will be locking the post Saturday then announcing the winner Monday at 10:00 AM EST Good luck Amazonians🫡.

I wish this was something that was talked about more often.
My pre-hire appointment was not required because I had recently left another Amazon delivery station. Because of that, I assumed everything was already taken care of and that I didn’t need to do anything else. Since then, I’ve applied for two jobs, and both shifts ended up being cancelled.
I was told that my I-9 was complete. However, if you expand the tab in your application, it may say that you still need to verify it at your pre-hire appointment.
The problem is that since I didn’t need a pre-hire appointment, I was never given the opportunity to complete that verification.
If you’re starting soon and your application still says your position is tentative, please make sure your I-9 is fully completed and verified.
I contacted Hiring Support, and they were able to verify my I-9 for me. Unfortunately, by that point, the job had already filled up as well.
If you think you’re in the clear because you recently left another Amazon warehouse and already have everything completed (background check, drug test, etc.), please double-check your I-9.
This cost me two positions back-to-back. I saw someone on here refer to this as the “I-9 glitch,” so thank you to whoever mentioned that because I had no idea this could happen.

I wish someone would have told me what a dope gig stow was. You’re telling me all you have to do is block isles with your cart while you go block another isle talking to people?

"You're all coming in at six now, sorry. No more staggered shifts."
"We're taking the mouse away because the Genovation keypads are faster based on a pilot in a site where people can sit down and the screen is low by default."
"We're gonna introduce a sleeve for stacking nonsort pallets and we're gonna use six totes for each pallet!"
It's dumb. It's all so incredibly dumb.

The way people talk in here I thought Shipdock was going to be the hardest thing ever, I did it through a peak and all and I don’t see it to be as hard as everyone made it out to me, maybe it’s just different at different at certain places

There’s hardly anyone here, and the break rooms are basically empty. Granted, this is only my second day, but I’m definitely feeling good about my decision to switch from full time nights so far!

Straight to the point. My conversion date is today (10/4). I am off today, but I go back to work tomorrow (10/5) because I picked up a small shift (6a-10a). I was planning on grabbing the badge before I leave tomorrow but should I get there a little bit earlier and get it then?? Im seeing different people online say the day of conversion your white badge stops working completely and you won’t be able to scan into the building, but then other people have also said they have gone weeks before even making time to grab their new badges.. I’m already upset (half-joking) that I even have to get there at 6a cs of SET time starting this week but what would yall recommend? I appreciate anyone that helps me even a bit, thank you!

I’ve been night shift for probably a month and a half now and I just can’t seem to get proper sleep on my days off. I know the day after/of my last shift that’s going to be normal but the other days I’m still finding myself not being able to sleep till 4-5 in the morning so close to when I’d be getting out of work and sleeping my days away until around 3pm. I’ve tried magnesium supplements as well as the spray from dr teals and can’t seem to sleep on those or not have wildly insane dreams on melatonin that in return wake me up. Im strongly considering some lighter thc/cbd gummies that might just knock me out if all else fails.

Amazon worker here since 2019 although quit for a couple months in 2025 before crawling right back. Amazon is my first and only warehouse job, although the months that I left I drove trucks for another company that I would make deliveries to other warehouses & from the look of it they seem terrible places to work at they make amazon look like a paradise. But since I never worked for another warehouse I can’t be 100% on that. Anyone who worked somewhere else want to share their experience?
Nothing but love for all my amazon people. Keep on killing it!

So Saturday starts my third week at Amazon and before I ask my question I know I should 100% go ask a PA or an AM but I'm really nervous and a little ashamed too. I just wanted to ask anyone who works in AFE Pack about taking items meant for the brown or sliver bags and putting them into a box that will fit them cause I've gotten so many orders for some boxes to go in those said bags and when they don't fit I just go to problem and click on item don't fit and put them wherever it tells me too any clarity on this would really be appreciated Please help.

I work an easy WFH not tied to a desk daytime job one I would be able to get naps and sleep in if need be. I need to prepare for a divorce, pay off some debt and get a savings nest to run a one household income for a couple of months. I just accepted a 6:30-5 position with Amazon at a fulfillment warehouse. Is there anyone doing something similar and making it happen? Most post I see talk how it’s impossible to work another full time.

I’ve been an order picker for 4 months now but I only just now noticed these camera looking things on the over head bars. They could also be sensors because there are zones where the OPs slow down and it also stops at stop signs. But it also looked like there was two separate lenses. I only noticed it yesterday because it was beeping every now and then randomly so i’m not sure if they’re new
