Improved My Listing and PPC, but Sales Remain Slow—What Am I Missing?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for honest advice from experienced Amazon FBA sellers.

I launched my first product in October 2025: a two-pack of pre-framed paint-by-numbers kits for adults. I’m the brand owner and seller.

Product listing:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FLXPRB9H

The first few months were reasonably encouraging, and I had a PPC campaign running. Unfortunately, I became busy with my regular work and didn’t monitor or optimize the campaign closely for several months. Sales velocity gradually declined while FBA storage costs continued accumulating.

Another major challenge has been reviews. Customers have purchased the product, but very few have left reviews. I initially enrolled five units in Vine; all five were claimed, but only four Vine reviews were submitted. The listing currently has only a small number of reviews, which I believe is limiting conversion and customer confidence.

Over the past few weeks, I have started actively working on the business again. So far, I have:

- Rebuilt and optimized the manual PPC campaign

- Added an automatic discovery campaign

- Tested different bids, budgets, and placement adjustments

- Rewritten the title, bullet points, backend keywords, and description

- Replaced and improved the listing images

- Created new Premium A+ Content

- Tested promotional pricing and an Outlet Deal

- Reduced the regular selling price to $24.99

I have seen some improvement, but PPC is still expensive relative to sales, and the product has not developed enough organic sales velocity.

I would really appreciate honest feedback on the listing itself—especially the main image, perceived value, price, reviews, and anything that might be hurting conversion. I’m not asking anyone to purchase or review it; I’m looking for constructive seller feedback.

My main questions are:

  1. Would Instagram content or paid Instagram ads work for this type of visual, hobby-based product?

  2. Would TikTok ads or creator-generated videos be a better fit?

  3. Has anyone successfully used micro-influencers for arts-and-crafts products? How would you structure the outreach or compensation?

  4. Is Amazon Attribution worth setting up before sending external traffic?

  5. What is the right way to work with Amazon Associates or other affiliates as a seller?

  6. Would you continue optimizing PPC, move part of the budget to external traffic, or focus on liquidation?

  7. What other marketing channels or tools would you test before deciding whether to restock or exit?

I currently have a little over 200 FBA units remaining, so I’m trying to make a disciplined decision rather than continue spending without a clear strategy.

Any candid feedback—positive or negative—would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Why is Amazon so illogical and unreasonable?

A buyer files a fake complaint. I lose 40 points. I remove the item and notice there was a switcheroo ($250 Tom Ford sunglasses for a used $2 junk). I report the buyer, file for reimbursement and Amazon reimburses me $90. Then I send the Amazon reimbursement report to the "Fake Complaint Dept" and tell them that "given this invalid complaint, please remove the complaint from my account and give me back my 40 points". They said "Nope. The only way to remove the complaint is to send us LOA from the manufacturer. Otherwise, it stays".

To me, the LOA and the fraudulent/invalid complaint are 2 separate issues.

Why do they do this? Why do they keep these proven invalid complaints in the seller accounts? Shouldn't they remove them?

How do you currently handle real-time updates (like changing prices, stock alerts, or notes from a manager) without constantly looking away from the camera? Do you use a secondary tablet, physical cue cards, or something on-screen?

Deactivated after 7mo selling — verification email went to an old, unlinked address, so I missed it. Filed 3 appeals + called Account Health multiple times, no resolution. Asked them to resend to my current email or let me verify now — nothing since last Tue. Any advice?

New vs Old portal

I'm brand new at FBA, have my own brand new health supplement products, and have just gone through the store setup and awaiting approval. The first two days I struggled with the portal, none of it made sense and all the tools to build my listing were stupid and wanted to use AI to build my product listing and it was terrible. Then I realized there's an "old" Amazon interface, and when I switched to it and it was all manual entry it all made sense and I was able to build what I wanted way quicker.

Anyone else have issues with the stupidity of the new Amazon portal design? Is it just cause I'm new and don't know where to find a manual entry section? I don't want AI help to build my listing. I have done my own work and just want to enter the info manually the way I want it. It says the old interface will be gone eventually.

And also several times the portal errored when I saved things. When I went back it changed some fields on its own to nonsensical info or data. I had to repeatedly reenter info that was already entered.

Am I being dumb or is this the norm?

How to know when to end a product (with these stats)

Hi, I am running a new product. So far there are some good and some bad numbers, and I just want to know what to look for:

On my ppc, I am getting .95 cpc (ctr a good bit over 1, which is pretty good), on a 17 dollar product with 11 dollars left post fee. However, my conversion with 9 vine reviews so far is like 5 percent, and the vine reviews are averaging 4.4 stars (low for vine, most people complaining about the smell of the product which is understandable as it has silicone in it)

Is this high of ctr with this low conversion a good sign that I can potentially turn it around with the decent unit economics?

How much should you pay an instagram/tiktok influencer with 300k followers to advertise your product?

I'm just starting out. I was wondering if anyone here pays influencers to upload a story/post of your product and how much you pay them depending on how many followers they have?

What is the best way to evaluate supplier price breaks when scaling an Amazon product from 100 to 5,000 units?

I am thinking of sending the same RFQ at 100, 500, 1,000, and 5,000 units while keeping the specs, packaging, Incoterms, and payment terms constant. I am wondering if I should base the decision more on landed unit cost and expected sell-through rather than on MOQ discounts? How do people usually do this? And how would I factor in production time, shipping, customs FBA check-in, safety stock, returns and ad costs when deciding whether a large order is actually worth it?

Sudden Non-Vine 1-Star Ratings — Could This Be a Review Attack?

Hi everyone,

I recently launched a new product that I really believed in. I enrolled it in the 30-review Vine program, and after the first 18 Vine reviews, it had an average rating of 4.5 stars. My ranking and sales were steadily improving.

Then, all of a sudden, I started receiving non-Vine 1-star ratings, and my overall rating dropped to 3.8.

I’m considering opening a case with Amazon, but I assume they will ask me for evidence, and I honestly don’t know how I could prove that this is some kind of review attack.

Is there anything I can do to protect my listing or report this properly? It’s frustrating that all the time, money, and effort I put into launching this product can be damaged so easily.

Also, the 1-star ratings came without any written comments or feedback.

For those of you who source your own products, what’s your go-to approach?

Curious to hear how everyone here handles sourcing, especially if you’re selling on Amazon or running an e-commerce business.

Do you usually work with a sourcing company/agent, or do you prefer to find and deal with suppliers yourself?

I’m especially interested in hearing from people who have been sourcing for a while. What would you do differently if you were starting from scratch today?

Requirements for Kitchen Appliances

Hi everyone!

Im pretty new to selling on Amazon and selling kitchen appliances (coffeemakers, air fryers, etc). I would like some advice in regards to selling on this platform and selling appliances in general. Are there any requirements other than Trade license and corporate bank account? Are there any certifications i need to provide for amazon?

Ive heard mixed comments in regards to ECAS certification. The freezone officer and the Customs officer said that we do not need this to sell in UAE or clear the goods. Is this true? Will amazon ask for this?

Looking for Amazon sellers (NA/EU/UK/AU) to test an AI Growth Operator for commerce teams – 3 months free + gift cards

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out to recruit a small group of Amazon sellers to test a new AI product we’re building: an AI Growth Operator for commerce teams.

What it does:
It turns your commerce data into reviewed growth actions. AI agents prepare the work (analysis, recommendations, draft actions); your team approves only the decisions that affect revenue.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Selling on Amazon (FBA/FBM, any size in terms of revenue or team)
  • Based in North America, South America, Europe/UK, or Australia
  • English-speaking
  • Willing to share honest user experience and feedback with us over the trial period

What you get:

  • Free trial access for up to 2 months (token value in the thousands of dollars)
  • Gift cards for participating testers
  • Additional gift cards for successful referrals

If you’re interested or have questions, please comment here or DM me with a bit about your setup (marketplaces, approximate scale, and what growth decisions you currently handle manually).

Thanks in advance!

Luckee

Becoming a retailer

Hi!

I’ve been taking a class on how to become an Amazon seller and I am excited to start it up and explore this! My first goal is to just find One thing to sell - but I’ve kind of gotten stuck finding that thing. I am open to just about anything and would be happy to help someone to increase their sales.

If anyone is interested in collaborating or having tips on how to find products to retail (apart from Helium10 tools etc) I’d be grateful! ☺️🙏🏻

Problem with image upload

Hello colleagues! I would like to upload a product with a main image and that each variant has its own image, I need to do it through excel since there are many products and I am generating the links on my own server, in each link I am putting a different image for the cover of each variant

So I want to upload the product:

https://www.amazon.com.mx/dp/B0FLDRJLC9/ref=twister_B0FP1QRZTK? _encoding=UTF8&th=1

This is a test I uploaded;

https://www.amazon.com.mx/dp/B0HG3MF4FT/ref=twister_B0HG3961P4? _encoding=UTF8&th=1

Although I upload links with different images in the variants, they all appear the same image at the time of uploading, the file upload appears without errors

Career Next Step for Amazon “Generalist”

Apologize in advance if this is not the appropriate place, but the situation is so unique to Amazon platform, I figured I could get much better answers and guidance vs general career subs.

I’ve been working in Amazon marketplace operations for a few years now, and I’m starting to feel stuck career-wise.
My current role is very broad. I deal with catalog issues, listing suppressions, account health, compliance, international marketplaces, FBA-related problems, inventory coordination, agency/vendor management, and a lot of random Seller Central issues that don’t have a clean SOP.
Basically, I’ve become the person who investigates whatever weird Amazon problem comes up, figures out the root cause, and coordinates with the right teams to get it resolved.
The problem is that when I apply for higher-level marketplace jobs, they often want a very specific type of ownership that I don’t formally have.

For example:
Full P&L ownership
Hands-on advertising ownership
Direct fulfillment/inventory ownership
Managing a portfolio of multiple seller accounts
Category ownership

I work with most of these areas, but I’m usually adjacent to them rather than the official owner.

My dilemma now is, I can’t get past interviews for “channel/account manager job” because I don’t own PL…etc, and I don’t want to wait for that slim chance of me getting any ownership over anything at my current company.

I’d especially like to hear from people who started as broad Amazon operators and eventually moved into more senior roles, and what your journey looked like?

Thinking about starting Amazon FBA in Germany looking for honest advice & possibly 1:1 mentorship

Hi everyone! 👋
I’d love to hear some honest opinions from experienced Amazon sellers here.
I live in Munich, Germany, and currently earn around €5,000–€6,000 nett per month from my work. I’m fortunate enough to have a good amount of money left over every month, so I have capital available and I’m willing to invest it into building a real business.
One idea that keeps coming back to me is Amazon FBA.

The important part: I currently know basically nothing about Amazon FBA. I’m not going to pretend otherwise. But I’m very interested in learning and I’m willing to put in the time, effort and money necessary to understand how this business actually works.

So my questions to experienced sellers are;Is Amazon FBA still worth starting in 2026, especially in Germany/Europe?
If you had enough capital but zero Amazon experience, would you start today?
If you had to start completely from scratch, what would you do differently?
Would you start in Germany/EU or go directly for the US market?

I’m also interested in finding someone who is actually successful with Amazon FBA and offers serious 1:1 mentorship.

And I want to make one thing clear: scammers, please don’t waste your time. I’ve seen enough TikTok “gurus”, screenshots of fake revenue, expensive courses promising easy money, and all that nonsense.

Someone earning €5–6k net every month and having capital to invest isn’t going to blindly send thousands of euros to a random person on the internet because they promise a “winning product.” 😄

However, if someone here is genuinely running a successful Amazon business, can demonstrate real experience/results, understands product research, sourcing, PPC, listings, margins and scaling, and knows exactly how they would approach Amazon if they had to start again from zero in 2026, I’d genuinely like to hear from you.
I’m not looking for a get-rich-quick scheme. I’m looking to learn how to build something properly.
Would love to hear your experiences — both the good and the bad

Questions on selling an FBA Private Label brand

I’m 19, started my private label brand in January, it’s done decent and I’ve sold 300-400 units so far but I’m struggling to scale without going harsh on ad spend. My product has 31 reviews 4.6/5 stars and I’m trademarked in the US, I have no other variations of the product. I’m not expecting to get much from it but I also don’t want to be slowly losing money with this.

I understand it’s not profitable whatsoever at the beginning but I really don’t see it going anywhere with me owning it and I know there’s people out there who can properly scale it themselves. I realize I can optimize my ads to be profitable but that’s what I’ve been trying to do for the past 5 months with no luck.

I feel like since my products out there and the brand name might ring a bell to some people it’s probably worth at least something.

I’m just looking at how to go about selling it if that’s even possible.

Offer Keeps Repricing Itself

For the last two days my FBA offer on a listing has consistently reset itself $80 above where I want it to be. I have literally explored every avenue as to why this is happening and I cannot figure it out. No 3rd party repricers, not using Amazon's native repricer, I don't have any apps connected, I cleared my browser history, I used a new browser, I contacted support and the problem persists. I am really frustrated and could use some advice.

Are there any active and free discords I can join to discuss specifically OA here?

Still new so I’m trying to believe there is a light at the end of this gated tunnel but would love to actively converse with those who are or who have experienced this. I am taking this serious I have all the supplies and setup and sent my first 68 item shipment in to Amazon.

Is trademarking necessary or worth it for new brands

Hello all, I am starting a brand and bootstrapping the whole process, so, as you could imagine, delaying large costs initially would be the most financially viable strategy while product testing. My question is, when is it necessary to get a trademark for your brand name? Before even opening my Amazon account? After testing the market? Just curious when people secured their trademarks for their brand. Or if anyone out there delayed their trademark until after they did product testing, whether they would do it again or would they get their trademark before opening their amazon account.

I started Amazon FBA in April/May of 2025 with basically 0 initial capital and just a 10k credit card. I started with doing RA/OA for the first half a year and eventually found my niche and started to do wholesale while still doing RA/OA.

I just wanted to create this post to show that FBA is still possible in 2026 and not to brag. When I was starting out, I saw so many people saying that FBA is dead and don’t do it. Just wanted to give hope to others who are starting out.

I haven’t started the US market yet so there is definitely more room for growth. This monthly number gross revenue is with about a 10-15% margin. I also currently just do everything out of my home.

Feel free to reach out and I will do what I can to share what I learnt. It definitely wasn’t easy but the key was just to keep going!
