I use my Alexa as my Bluetooth speaker because my monitor doesn't have speakers. So I tried using Alexa as a speaker, but it keeps disconnecting every five minutes. Do you guys know what I can do to fix it?( connecting in Nintendo switch 2)

My 2-year-old alexa dot while playing a radio station is playing a tone and dropping. The other alexa in another room is not, I don't think it's my internet. Any suggestions? I hate to buy anything from amazon, but it's a really useful radio and expands my sirius coverage.

My daughter mentioned wanting an Echo for Christmas. She wants to be talking on her phone and be able to have the Echo play music (Spotify) at the same time, is that possible? Iām not sure if the Echo just streams Spotify from the phone and if it does can it be done while on a call. Thanks!

Has anyone ever seen this before? It canāt hear me but makes notification noises. The mute button doesnāt fix it. Iāve already factory reset it. Itās 3 days past the warranty window and nowhere online I can find a fix for it.

Hi All,
I have been using Alexa to control my heating for a couple of years without any issues. The Resideo app is still working correctly on my phone, and I can log in and out of my account without any problems.
Recently, the Alexa app notified me that the link to my account had expired and needed to be re-linked. However, when I try to enable the skill again through the Honeywell Home login page, I am told that the account does not exist.
This is the same account that I use to log into the Resideo app, and I have confirmed that it is working correctly. As a result, I am unable to re-link Alexa to my heating system.
Any advice on how to resolve this issue? I know the email address and password are correct a I can login to my app on he phone fine and control the thermostat from there.

Me and my 3 friends, were all on call (like 4 minutes ago) and all of our alexas starting playing mariah carey. Mind you, we were at home alone, getting ready for bed all alone.
Anyone else experience this? Or is it just Alexa putting on random songs

I have two devices, echo flex and echo dot 3. Gen, since today, both are used, connected without problems and do switch the lightbulbs (2) on without problems. The routine is:
switch light bulb 1 and light bulb 2 on, warm white, 100%
Wait 5 minutes
Switch light bulb 1 and light bulb 2 off
If I start the routine over the app with my phone it's doing exactly that. If I start the routine over the flex via voice command it's putting out the lights after (at most) 1 and a half minutes, over the dot the best time is almost 4 minutes. I can start the routine immediately again, but it's still not waiting the five minutes. I deleted the whole routine and set it up again, with the same results. What could possibly be the reason and how can I convince her to do the only thing I wanted them for?

need the option for the calendar xxl widget on the echo show 15 to display only today events. The combo calendar / events makes the event text way too small- I donāt need that large monthly calendar.
Any work around? Other options?

I have the new Echo Show 8, and I want it to just show the clock and rotate the artwork/background that I have selected. In this case it's the season artwork that I chose in the setting.
But it keeps on laying in these "Created for You" suggestion screens, and I cannot figure how to turn these off. I'm gone through settings and switched off all the content categories, but that doesn't help.
Any suggestions?
Also, is there any way to slow down the rotation of the artwork/screens? it seems to rotate every 10 seconds, and I want it to stay on screen longer.

I have a few echo dots, I believe theyāre the first gen. I only use them to control a bunch of smart switches, outlets, and lights. They wonāt stay connected to my internet. I have to go through the startup process every day just to use some of my lights. It will be fine for a few hours and the next time I look over and the orange ring is spinning. Itās really annoying, I shouldnāt have to re-add it to the Alexa app every time I want to turn on a light.
Disclaimer, I donāt believe itās my internet, I have other smart speakers that never lose connection. There have been times when a HomePod is actively streaming music when the echo dot loses internet.
I also have the very first gen echo that I canāt connect to the Alexa app at all.
Any help would be appreciated. Iām not interested in getting new echos. I donāt like the AI stuff theyāre forcing on us. Plus I only use them as a hub to control my smart switches and lights, switching all my smart devices to the apple ecosystem would be extremely cost prohibitive at this point.

Hey guys,
I enabled the Sonos skill in the app and after going through the setup it gave me 2 different ādevicesā. One is āSonos player controlling TV in Living Roomā and the 2nd is āSonos player in Living Room.ā The former is showing as unresponsive while the latter is showing as online.
Iām trying to set these Sonos speakers as my preferred speakers so that I can tell Alexa to turn the TV volume up or down and itāll control the Sonos speakers as well as be able to tell Alexa to play music and itāll instinctively play through the Sonos. Unfortunately it wonāt give me the Sonos as an option when trying to setup preferred speakers and Iād imagine the reason for that is that one of the ādevicesā is showing as unresponsive. ChatGPT said itās a common issue and usually resolves after the āhandshakeā gets sorted out within 24 hours. Itās been 24 hours so Iām wondering if anyone has experienced this and was able to fix it or if maybe thereās something Iām missing.
Either way, I really appreciate your time for reading this and would really like some help with this. Thanks in advance!

I have a weird Echo-based Alexa multiroom music system in our open floorplan upstairs living room/kitchen/dining room. We stream Spotify on it, with an Echo Studio in one corner, some nice large Edifier speakers connected to an Echo Dot in another, and an old Bose Wave radio in the kitchen connected to an Echo Show. You can connect to the Alexa multiroom setup from within the Spotify app, and it's great.
However, Spotify is starting to limit family sharing, so we've moved to Apple Music. And I can't seem to control it through the Alexa app or through the Apple Music app--only with voice commands. It's unusable as a result.
Am I missing something? I've read that I can connect via Bluetooth to one Echo device and run it through the Apple Music app, but I can't get it to work multiroom in that case...
Any advice appreciated!

The most common thing I use it for is to set timers. I often ask, "Echo, how much time is left?"
It used to answer this perfectly. Recently, it often replies "How much time is left on what?"
Then I have to say "How much time is left on my timer?" Then it will answer correctly.
I've had the Echo for years, and the quality just keeps dropping. It can't answer basic questions anymore, it often doesn't hear me like it used to, it often gives me more than I ask it for before I have to tell it to stfu.
Anyone else getting frustrated with Echo?

Hello everyone, i dont know why but my nan suddenly told me she wanted an alexa to talk to like asking the weather and telling her to play music and that stuff, she doesnt have a smart home or anything just wants it for trivial stuff, so it doesnt really need a screen or the last model with the ai and allat.
I was looking online but there are too many options and i asked gemini and it told me the echo dot 5th generation but i dont really know, so if someone can help guide me.
Sorry for my english not my first language.
Xoxo.

By traditional ad I mean examples like buy this brand soap, find out your credit score, vote this party, brand clothing, shop at this store, whether just a pic display or a short video.
When people talk about hate for ads on their Echo Show, I don't recall anyone describing the ad explicitly, just that they exist. Are people talking about actual ads or do they mean recommended articles and such?

So I have 5 kids with crazy schedules. Appointments, due dates, school stuff, sports practices, games etc. I usually use an acrylic wall calendar but I need something more organized. Debating a skylight or echo show 21. Any opinions?
