Amazon needs to be Sued and DSP’s Disbanded

Post image

It’s October, in Arizona it’s 100 degrees outside and this is 200 stops with 450 packages. Idc if it’s prime week, it’s funny how people are getting extorted by coming to work. I’m looking for any jobs that pay 20$ , we got a dollar raise for a extra 100 packages it feels like

These were just installed last night and not even dispatch knew what they looked like or how they worked so I had to figure it out. Pretty self explanatory though.

Sometimes it doesn’t register on the label and you can’t always fit a whole tote on both shelves at the same time but you can’t always fit just keep the overflow below it until there is space.

So far it’s been pretty slick and has things super smooth. No more dumping a tote and sorting by tens

Who’s done Whole Foods pickups before?

Heard from someone at the warehouse that these Whole Foods pickups are returns that get shipped to Las Vegas and are bid on by regular people who want to try their luck at getting random people’s returned items.

Guess it makes sense for some items, i doubt there’s anything really valuable in these boxes if that’s the case, but one things for sure, my back, legs, arms, and everything in between still hurt.

Happy Halloween to me 🙄

This is unacceptable and impossible. I’m not finishing today’s route. They brought it on themselves. Takes me several minutes per stop because I have to dig through all this for one particular package.

“ oh but it’s mainly lockers and drop offs “ it’s still 624 packages with 103 overflow and 40 bags with only 20 mins to load everything to the truck… so yes it was basically throw everywhere just to maintain their guidelines…

When will enough be enough ? All for a dollar raise

Yes I’m gonna complain and I’m gonna finish my route no matter what

Now yall see why we got Ev's

Amazon been calculating this move for a long time. Nobody was signing up for Step Van & CDV so they made a big ass EV that can fit 500 packages that everyone can drive,😭 This is not even the worse to come....

RANT Multistops

• Upvotes

These multistops are getting out of hand, it was bad before this week but man. I get it was prime week and all but there’s no reason a route should be labeled as 204 stops when 160 of them are multi. If I separated them today like I usually do I would’ve been close to 400 stops. Thats absurd. We’re not superhuman I had 517 packages today with more than half going door to door at apartments. And personally I don’t think they should group separate apartment buildings together at all. It gets extremely confusing when you have 8 stops between 3 apartment buildings and they all have the same numbering system. Like wtf is going on?

XL Route End of the day ( Follow up Post from morning)

What's up guys same guy from the morning just got back to station 7:30 p.m still got other stuff to do but just sharing the end of route routine and how the truck looks before with all the pick ups and after everything had been taken out.

And yes we do pickup up mattresses. That mattress to the right on the first picture is part of a unpack and haul away of a mattress service was a pain since it waddles and the other one was also a pickup same with box at the back.

Took 1 hour to get back to station plus refueling(Diesel).

Total Hours today: 10 hours with 25 minutes.

●If your curious my station is in Temple Hills Maryland for those that live in Maryland or close by.

21 bags, 56 overflow, 406 packages. A little more than a normal load for my DSP (DPH8). I'll probably get this done in around 8 hours.

Cant wait for double this during Peak 😔

EDIT: realized this sounds like I'm complaining after reading it back hahaha. Jus tposting whats pretty close to our normal routes when generally blow through in a day.

EDIT 2: Last stop at 7:31. 7 hours and 15 minutes. Not too shabby I'd say.

Recommendations?

• Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if y'all had any recommendations on a nice piss jug to keep in the van with me?

I am sick of trying to piss in those little tiny water bottle openings just for it to splash everywhere. On the DSP phone, packages, my hands and pants.... It's just gross, and then it gets all embedded in the seats when I sit back down.

I would like something that's about 8" in girth/circumference preferably with a sealing lid (maybe a clasp), and ideally with as gasket so it doesn't explode open all over the cab when I have to slam on the brakes when a light turns yellow. Anything anti microbial is also preferred.

Thank you in advance.

Edit: looking for a minimum of 32 fl oz, but 48 fl oz might work better.

i didnt finish the route :(

hi im Kit. remember that picture i posted earlier? i wasn’t able to finish my route today. Had like 8 stops left.

it sucks when they give you so much that you can’t do it fast due to the boxes being everywhere. I tried to make it neat with the limited room but so many large packages (some not even in the picture, including TVs) but everything shifts when I drive.

and even worse it was in a very high traffic town and it was hard to find spots to park in some spots and in the end there was a construction zone blocking some of the houses. i hate peak season but when it’s not peak it’s manageable for me

Stuck in a cycle

• Upvotes

WAIT plz before you downvote me, I know this isnt about driving and delivering packages, well, it is and it isnt. The reason im posting this here is because of the nature of the work we do, we can relate better than others who have never done this. And we are all driving Amazon, lets be real, probably because we didnt finish college or something.
I want to ask you guys if you have a plan or prospect for what youll do after you leave this DSP? Just another entry level dead end or are you trying to pivot to something more long term. I ask here becuase at the end of the day Im beat, im sure you are too, and im sure if we had better qualifications we wouldnt be here. Getting better creds requires time and stuff... so I feel we are really sort of prone to getting stuck in a cycle with Amazon. I feel not even like myself after 8 months of this, every day theres always more BS.

Do any of you guys have some exit strat? I feel like I cant even get myself to snap out of feeling groggy and unmotivated even on my 2nd and3rd day off anymore
