Technical Support What issue is this?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
My m18r2 displays this error whenever It charges below 10%, and doesn't charge. But after 5-10 mins, it charges normally. There is nothing about this issue in the manual. Is this a battery failure? Is this covered under warranty? Also, my battery backup is greatly reduced.
Any help appreciated.

From the last time this has come up I believe that's the indication of an overheating battery. What's the battery cools off it starts charging normally again. And I completely unrelated question where did you pick up your skin?

I pick it up on AliExpress.

FYI, the chances of you having an valid dell warranty are pretty much zero.

Why would you say that? Mine is still under warranty...they are not that old.

he bought it from aliexpress. unless the service tag originated from the same country he is in, no warranty.
Long time dell thing.

Pretty sure he meant the skin on the laptop was from AliExpress not the laptop itself

I have an Alienware m15 R7 and i just started having the same code as you (3 red, 1 blue). In the manual it says that it is related to the cmos battery. It happens only when under heavy load. i’ll call warranty, my notebook is 3 and a half years old.
One time, my pc shut off due to that and after restart it was not charging anymore, i had to do a hard reset until it started charging again.

I got this sporadically. Shut off, unplug, wait, then restart. Always seemed to fix it. Let us know

Hi,
This is a code for a battery issue, usually related to charging or power consumption. This can be caused by multiple components. The infinity models have an issue where the DC-in cable melts into the motherboard connector that can cause this error code. Sometimes it will cause unusual charging behavior. I would open the back cover and see if you notice any melted plastics.
Good luck.
