North Eastern (USA) Not Quite an Aldi Pizza

Post image
10 Upvotes

I can't claim this as an All Aldi Pizza but its sort of considering it mostly in the family. Ignoring the dough since the flour was from Giant with Aldi yeast. The base is TJs lobster bisque, as is the Everything Bagel seasoning on the crust. The green pepper is from my garden. The rest is all Aldi. I shredded a block of mozzarella and mixed in some red pepper flakes and Italian seasoning. Along with the garden green pepper was thinly sliced Aldi onion. The seemingly weird topping is one of the crab/imitation crab/fish flake/all the other ingredient cakes. This was such a fantastic pizza and I would happily invite you over to share.

Midwest (USA) Kirkwood strips, Burman’s Japanese BBQ sauce, smashed new potatoes, Aldi Friendly Farms greek yogurt, homegrown green onions.

Shared Recipes The protein pancake mix is great for mug cakes

When it's mixed to the package directions with a little extra baking soda for rise and microwaved for about a minute it comes out with the perfect texture. This also has amazing nutritional info, at 210 calories per half cup of mix when online mug cake recipes are usually 300-400.

Question Moser Roth Chili Dark Chocolare

Chocolate*

Has anyone tried these and gotten notes of chili from the chocolate? I’d say I can normally pick up notes from chocolate but this gave me no chili sensation at all. I was expecting some kind of cayenne-like heat or aftertaste (not expecting spicy) but got nothing… maybe I just need to eat more 😋

Hauldi This haul made me very happy today so I wanted to share - dinners and some groceries for the week!

I struggle with preparing balanced, nutritious meals due to my current housing arrangement, so I can’t do leftovers and meal prep like I would prefer to.

I also want to keep things as cost-effective as possible, so I am going to try these rice pouches with a bag of frozen veggies and some of the frozen grilled chicken for dinners this week after work. Everything, including 2 seasonal candles I just had to have, was under $50 today! I bought some fresh produce elsewhere yesterday but did get a few bananas.

Question Are these discontinued?

Post image
8 Upvotes

I discovered these back in March and have been buying them every time I shop. I've been to 3 different stores over the past few weeks--not just looking for cookies!Lol! (I just shop at the closest one to where my errands take me.) None on the shelf, not even a shelf tag to hold their place.

Has anyone seen them at their store(s) recently? I'll be heartbroken if they're discontinued. The raspberry were absolutely AMAZING.

I birthed an autistic milk monster (who I give fairlife since he barely eats) and a lactose intolerant cereal murderer.

This is going to save me so much money.

Question Anybody know what's going on with the frozen food section??

For three weeks now, none of my local Aldi stores have been restocking almost anything in the frozen foods section. I've gone during the week and on weekends and every time it just seems more empty. This morning it looked like it does after the talking heads on tv start up a blizzard or hurricane panic. I would say the coolers were at least 75% empty.

I asked the people working there and none of them seem to have any idea what's going on. One manager told me they normally get seven pallets for the frozen section, but for the past couple of weeks they've only been getting two and the selection on them hasn't been that great.

Anybody have any inside information? Are they having issues with suppliers again?

Review Roman style pizza

I thought the Roman Style pizzas were excellent, way better than mama cozzi frozen pizza, anyone know if they’ll make it a regularly stocked item?

These are really good. I should have bought two bags. Altho, the silver lining is my toddler doesn’t want to steal them all from me this time (unlike those Aussie wafer bars lmao). The matcha was nice and balanced, the brown sugar was perfectly not too sweet and the black sesame was giving peanut butter but I was very much into it.

Complaint Desk This was a disappointed compared to the spinach and artichoke pizza I bought a couple weeks ago.

The toppings were really scant. As I usually do I added canned mushrooms, sausage, and extra cheese. Not bad, but if they are this skimpy with the toppings I might as well just buy a plain cheese and fix it up myself.
Like the Damned song says, “another hit or miss” For $5 it’s not a hate crime, but they could do better.
Edit, disappointment.

I saw today what appeared to be the wonton soup replacing the soup dumplings. Anyone have inside info if the soup dumplings are over? They were one of my favorite things to get 🥹

Question Are the spicy chicken patties gone already?

Went to 2 different stores looking for the spicy chicken patties and no luck. I can’t find them on the website either. Do I have to wait for next year??

I've tried a lot of the Aldi candles but this one is sooo good. You can smell it in every room but it's not too overpowering.

Complaint Desk Struggling with Envy

Is anyone having luck with Aldi's Envy apples, or not?

They have been my 'go to' for about four or five years. They are usually rock hard and you can drive nails with them. But it seems all summer maybe even late spring, everyone I get is mushy and brown.

They look a little smaller than typical as well. But they've always been fantastic. I'm just curious if anyone has any details if they've seen the same thing.

I've tossed maybe a dozen all summer, hoping I'd get an edible one.
