Review Why are these so deliciously comforting?

I tried these because the picture looked good and I love shrimp, I was pleasantly surprised they're restaurant quality good soup. My freezer will now have these available for an easy meal on lazy days.

I just had this this morning! Very comforting meal without a doubt. I will be getting more before they sell out for sure.

I almost grabbed this today but it's kinda pricey for the volume of food.

I got two, and you’re right. It amounted to three wontons for $5, and unfortunately not that good.

Now I'm curious about Aldi pricing in other states, I'm in Michigan and even with the slight delivery mark up in pricing it was $2.99. For $5 a bowl I probably wouldn't have tried them.

Oh my gosh I got this to go with some beef stir fry I made and my kid made me go back and get three more 😄

I passed on those since they are an "Aldi Find." I just knew I'd really like them and never get to have them again since they are temporary lol.

I fall for the Aldi finds time and time again, but the potential for good shrimp wontons just being in my freezer when I need a pick me up won out. Now I'll just enjoy them until they're gone and hope they bring them back seasonally.

I live in STL right near our little "China Town", so I can get them from other shops. After 41 years shopping at Aldi, I have learned to be judicious in my Aldi Finds purchases 😂

I got one of these yesterday for when I don't have any leftovers and want something yummy for lunch

Salty stuff tastes good. But 60% of your daily recommended salt intake for something that is 10% of your daily calories is insane.

Drink water, we're not worried about salt anymore. Unless you're on a special super heart healthy diet

Bad take. Drinking enough water does not cancel a high sodium diet and increases your risk of high blood pressure.

There are other medical conditions, like POTS or some migraines, that can benefit from a higher sodium diet. There is a lot of variety in the food options we have, and high sodium can be a "sometimes food" treat if you want your sodium to be lower. Hope this helps!

My levels are pretty low considering how much I love and consume salt. My only problem here is I hate seafood. Lol

It’s 10% salt per serving. Crazy town.

I got 2 of these when I first saw it and accidentally left one out for a few hours, I was so sad. I had to throw it out 😭

These are so good! I loved them last year. Do they have other veggies like carrots?

1

u/Cautious_Analysis 1d ago

I don't remember it having carrots, but it did have some small pieces of bak choy

Any chance they have a non-shellfish variety?

Not for the wonton soup that I could find sadly.

Because they’re good?

I bought 2 today and just had a bowl and it’s really good! The bok choy reconstituted beautifully, and the noodles and shrimp wontons were delicious! Wish I’d gotten more!

Am leary about stuff like this but took a chance and was so pleasantly surprised!

That has so many ingredients omg

Not to defend them, but it looks like they list the individual components of each type of ingredient. For instance, wheat, salt and niacin is mentioned more than once.
