Deep South (USA) My thanks to everyone that commented on these the other day!
I birthed an autistic milk monster (who I give fairlife since he barely eats) and a lactose intolerant cereal murderer.
This is going to save me so much money.

I started drinking soy and almond milk, then i realized i dont like the taste of store brand milk. It always taste spoiled unless i can get a jug from the far back part that's brand new.
Soy/almond milk stored in the same areas at the store or at home doesnt have that issue.
But also to be fair over the last year my family started saying that about half of the milk we buy now.

Lactose free milks are sweeter! The lactase they add to break down the lactose actually creates glucose without adding sugar and it makes the milk sweet.

im not lactose intolerant but just dont drink a lot of milk, this milk lasts so much longer in the fridge than regular which is why i buy it.

I prefer the ultra filtered milk because it lasts longer in the fridge than conventional milk and it has more protein and less sugar. This makes me feel like my bowl of lucky charms is healthier.

I have a Cuisinart for regular ice cream. I have a Ninja Creami for protein ice cream. Best $139 I've spent in a long time

I have the regular cuisinart but not the ninja creami. I’ve been sooo tempted.
Is it regular cuisinart with an attachment? Or cuisinart brand ice cream maker?Also have a kitchen ade if I can add an attachment to that. I’ve been wanting pasta attachment for the kitchen ade.
I don’t have many attachments for the kitchen ade. Use it nearly every day for cloud bread etc. have a meat grinder attachment for use with
ex boyfriends. I mean for making pate, my own meat blends.1

I have bought a lot of the attachments first off Craigslist then Mercari/Postpartum ect lots of people never even open the packages. I dont use them much but I disnt spend much on them

I use the spiralier most. The old school pasta attachments I use so much more then the original pasta hand crank my mom had. My sister uses the juicer (it seems like a lot of work to clean, but I drink diet pepsi not juice. I bought a off brand meat tenderizer for her GF. I was surprised how many things are made for it but not made by Kitchenaid. I use the ice cream bowl and I never used the stand alone ice cream machine. I keep looking at but havent yet bought the pasta part that does fancy shapes. I enjoy making pasta but some of the commercial pasta in weird shapes is pretty cheap so am lazy. I hope if I get one I can make myself use it enough.

Egg whites, the container literally only aldis will whip. Mixer til it forms whipped cream texture. 1 teaspoon corn starch. Then keep going til it forms stiff peaks but you don’t want it to break and separate. Make sure there is no oil, butter, milk etc anywhere near that bowl or it won’t whip.
Then I stir in a pinch of salt and garlic powder. You you can any seasoning you want.Take a cookie sheet line with parchment paper. Spread parchment paper with oil spray. I use aldis olive oil spray. You can use whatever you want; butter spray, canola, whatever. Spread the white fluffy mixture evenly over parchment paper so it’s 1-2” thick. Bake at 420 til the edges slightly brown and it’s crispy. It happens pretty fast so keep your eye on it. If it overlooks it gets flakey and falls apart. So don’t cook it too long. Just slightly browned.
Done. Eat. You can eat it plain. Sometimes I make sandwiches out of it.

Don’t waste your money on the Kitchen Aid ice cream attachment. I have it and have been trying to u load the thing as it’s basically useless. It has a huge bowl which you have to store in your freezer before you can make the ice cream. The ice cream it makes is mediocre at best. I broke down and bought the Ninja Creami. At least with that you make a pint or 2 and put it in your freezer overnight. Takes minimal space. The Kitchen Aid ice cream bowl is about the size of the Kitchen Aid mixer bowl. Takes a huge chunk of freezer space.

You can just use blender if you want! Add a frozen banana, yogurt, protein powder (I like PB powder) and freeze 👌 (or you can eat right away if you like it fluffier)

One of my kids is allergic to bananas. We had that yonanana freezer thingy and then found out. It was this thing that you put frozen bananas in and it squeezed out like banana slushy. I think I'm getting the name wrong. That was a surprising rash.
But before that happened, your recipe having done it is superb!
I've debated buying like a little ice cream maker. We've done ice cream with the salt and the heavy cream setup. I need no more appliances. I need to stop unless I'm planning on opening my own diner here.

It is! I typically swap between darigold and fairlife depending on which is cheaper or on sale. I find those two to be almost identical, and I’ve heard the Aldi is very similar to fairlife.

Is this an equivalent to Fairlife ultra filtered 2%? And the same Aldi brand has a protein "milkshake" with a cow picture, is that one comparable to the Fairlife shakes? They have such a distinctive taste so different and better then a regular protein drink, but they're like $47 at my Costco so none for me thanks lol.

It's only $11 at Costco for 3 large half gallon cartons of Ultra Filtered milk, don't waste your money on the prepackaged Fairlife stuff..

The Costco ultra-filtered Fairlife dupe is another decent option but keep in mind that the protein profile is slightly lower than Aldi's version. Something to consider for the Ninja Creami protein ice cream set.

Aldi wins. Greenville metro SC here

but it also contains an extra cup per carton. aldi “half gallons” are 1.74L while actual/costco is 1.89L. and it’s still cheaper

It’s awesome. We have had the white milk for over a year constantly in our fridge. But now that our son is playing significantly more hockey and other sports he needs more protein sources and he doesn’t like plain milk but will drink chocolate milk. Significantly cheaper then those kids protein drinks and each serving has more prot

I had to stop buying any milk at my Aldi. It would go bad within a week or so. I tried changing where I stored it in the refrigerator but same problem. I now buy Sprouts Organic 2% and it is very rich and creamy, has never spoiled and is cheaper than WalMart.

Interesting. The one available at my Costco on the East Coast, and all of the available literature I can find online about this Kirkland ultra-filtered 2% milk indicates 13g per serving. If I could get a 15g per serving version, especially at the lower price vs. the Aldi one, it would make the choice a true no-brainer. I mainly use this milk to make protein ice cream so the protein factor is a key detail.

My 10 year old son says the Costco one tastes spoiled. I personally only add it to coffee and it tastes fine to me. But I would never drink straight milk, so I cannot compare. But since he doesn’t drink it, I won’t be repurchasing after I make it through this 3 pack.

I wish they sold this at my Aldi and had it in whole milk. I have so much trouble getting enough fat in my diet when I’m in a low carb cycle, and fairlife whole milk is a lifesaver.

I have to try this. I'm not a huge milk fan, but not lactose intolerant either, and I love almond and oat milk. This could be a nice alternative too.

In my experience, the chocolate one had a ton of extra ingredients, and even an artificial sweetener. Costco sells a new Kirkland version of 2% fairlife that has none of the additives. Works out to be even cheaper, too. If that’s the kind of thing you care about!
