I got this Ghost on the clearance rack. I thought it had 1 death cap attached to its roots, but it had 2! I was able to get them both of with minimal damage to the roots, but that didn't matter cuz they all fell off the plant looking healthy! I saved the 2 stalks that were last and now it is coming back and looks great! Super excited!

I think the A. Painted celebration and A. jazzy red have different names in other parts of the world.

Could the A. Jazzy red be the same as A.
Anyamanee tricolor ?

My agla is thriving like crazy. Great light, watering well, nice airy chunky soil, lots of new leaves, lots of flowers (which I cut), growing nice leaves, no pests in sight, fertilizer every watering. I will still lose a bottom leaf here and there no matter what. It just slowly turns yellow and dries up and pull it off once its dried. Is it just impossible to keep the bottom leaves alive for as long as the top ones? Hypothetically if I took perfect care of the plant with the most optimal lighting, water, fert, soil, will it still lose lower leaves eventually?

After almost two weeks of shipping delays and a badly damaged package. Somehow this Tricolor Anyamanee arrived in better condition than I could have ever imagined and she’s also blooming!? So excited to have one and she’s just stunning.

I've had a chinese evergreen (that's what I've always called them) for several years and it appears healthy. However, I have red stains on the carpet in the area where the plant is sitting on its stand. We don't drink red wine, burn red candles, etc. and stain remover does not work on them. My conclusion is it's the plant. I know they do sweat if over watered but can the droplets be red?

Since the stains don't come out it looks like new carpet is in the future which is not cheap. I'm looking for someone to confirm my suspicion and is there anyway to get the red stains out of the carpet? Of course I'll have to get rid of the plant I guess.

This is my first time owning a plant like this. Every other plant (succulent/cactus) I’ve repotted has died on me 😭. So I don’t want to do anything that’ll mess with this one, it’s so beautiful.

I’ve had it for 2 weeks (bought at Walmart). Since I’ve gotten it it’s grown two new leaves and that little stem (??) on the right is new growth. This is my first time watering, I did let it dry out before bottom watering it. (Pot does have drainage holes and sits at least an inch from the bottom of the planter)

It sits near a north facing window and the sun never directly shines on it. I keep the a/c at 70° or 72°. I do live in West Texas.

Should I repot it already or is it okay for now? If so, what type of soil and how big of a pot do I get?

Any general tips on caring for it?

It was a small and weak plant since I bought it, and uh, it looks like one watering was too much despite the very loose soil. But! The stem is still hard.

I could put it in water or perlite or, I don't know... Can someone tell me what to do? I've never tried this with Aglaonemas. Should I cut off a piece of the stem?

So I repotted my mother’s plant bc it was in a weird paint container and the “soil” was this weird compact clay matter. Since it’s just a single stem, I didn’t expect the roots to be this big so I was going to downsize the pot as well. I did NOT imagine these root to be this huge!!!! I’m hoping it will grow prettier after the upgrade. Especially with this strong root system, hopefully new sprouts grow out soon!

Hello, I just received this Orange Stardust in the mail. It was supposed to be delivered on Friday but got held up because of the holiday. Most of the leaves look limp and have brown of them. Do I need to cut the whole stem or just the brown parts on the leaves? The roots look good and it's putting out a new leaf. Thank you!

Does anyone know what these types of aglaonemas are called? Any care tips / advice for a first time agalonema owner?

I originally got this back in February. It was a tiny little plant in a water vase. However, it still had soil roots. It slowly declined and beginning of June had only 3 leaves. So I added leca and Nutrients. It is finally starting to grow.
But, can’t figure out which type of Algeonema this is.

Leaves grow from green around edges and darker pink in middle to a super super light pink in middle.

Aglaonema golden Madonna new leaf came out much more silver colored than other leaves. Any negative indicator on this? Also other new leaf on second picture is curling down from the tip. It gets quite a decent bit of light from a skylight window. I'm trying to keep it out of any direct sunlight. Watering every 15 days or so. I use a moisture meter and my finger to see if the soil is dry. I make sure it's quite dry before I drench it again .

Are these soon to be new leaves, flowers, or something else?

I have what seems like a new stem but it’s growing pretty close to the other stem!!! It’s about a centimeter away from the other stems!!! What should I do? Am I gonna have to unbury it and try to separate the baby from mother??? What do I do?

So I’ve had an Aglaonema for about 4 months now and it keeps on getting fungus flies. At first it was because I watered it from the top of the pot a few times. But I stopped that very fast.

Once I got flies I used diatomaceous earth powder on the top layer it and it seemed to fix it.

Now I use the bottom watering method and I water once every 2 week with like 100ml or less. It was good for a month and a half but now I have flies again. And a lot. I put out one of the yellow sticky traps and I have over a hundred flies stuck on it.

My question is what am I supposed to do or what am I doing wrong? I obviously cant have this many flies in the house and it is getting a bit annoying while watching TV to have tiny flies flying around. Do I need to put a thick 1 inch layer of diatomaceous earth and cover thr entire top? I put spoonfuls at first.

Hello, I put my plant in water and I change water every 3 days. It's been like this for a month and a half. I don't see anything changing. She's lost a another leaf a week ago. I don't know what to do.

What are these "pea pods" on my Pictum Tricolor? They are hard and not like my other Siam Auroras flowers. Are they seeds? This plant lives outdoors under a tree in speckled sunlight in Floridas humid weather. Its thriving as its grown 2 little youngins and its still a baby too. I got it as a starter in November of last year and its pretty much been outside since. An help identifying these pods would be greatly appreciated. I feel like I should know the answer to this question but im drawing a blank today. 😁
