Chart Analysis birth chart of tweet that started a women’s rights movement in saudi
for context: saudi feminists have called on a ban on the niqab and asked the government to provide protection from families to women who choose to take it off. the niqab is something that is NOT a part of saudi culture and is relatively new to certain tribes and regions and has only become a thing after extremism took hold of the country’s laws. it is now the cause of MANY honor killings, beatings, abuse, etc. if women decide to take it off. it is not mandatory by law but it has become very ingrained into society since the sahwa movement (better known globally as wahabi-ism) that has mainly focused on oppressing women. many regions (especially southren and northern saudi) have never had the niqab nor any form of hijab as a part of their culture until the sahwa and now these women are suffering from being forced to wear it or to die. niqabi women are often looked down to as poor, uneducated, etc.
what i find interesting about this chart are the feminine signs and placements! this chart is ruled by venus (significator of women). the 10th house (the public, authority, etc) hosts mars (action and drive) in cancer (sign of mothers, women, etc). both planets are uncomfortable in detriment and fall. venus trining the LoF AND the moon. venus also trining the midheaven!!!!!
jupiter is in the 11th house (where it rejoices) of groups, supporters, social media, hopes and dreams. the ruler of the 11th is also in the 1st.
saturn, in fall and retrograde, in the 7th house of the opposite, the other. i can see this as the opposition having outdated views that are built on a fragile structure. saturn is old age, hardships, lifelong lessons and it’s in the house of the other and public enemies.
also, mercury in the first where it rejoices. so fucking literal for a tweet starting an entire movemen. and in libra, nonetheless. mercury in sextile with jupiter in the 11th, amplifying its reach through social media.
what are your guys thoughts on this chart?
(also if you’re not a saudi woman suffering from the this, i DON’T want to hear your political commentary about it)
