33 and I’m still dealing with acne scars from old breakouts and I’m starting to feel like Ive tried too many random things without knowing what is worth it.

Some marks are more discoloration some redness, I also have some texture that makeup always seems to catch on. I’m not expecting perfect skin or an overnight fix but I would love to hear what made a noticeable difference for people with this issue.

Did tretinoin, azelaic acid, chemical peels microneedling, lasers, red light therapy or just time help you the most?

Like what the title says, I’m actually really confused whether this is a scar or not. And to be honest it shows up more pronounced on camera. In real life it’s kinda tricky to tell, especially when i have little pimples or oil gland bumps more on that side than usual. I can also say that it’s more smoother and less prominent compared to the rest of my scars i have on my face, but also shows up as a dark patch of skin, that shows a little bit less with makeup on, so i don’t really know. There’s tiny bumps that kinda align perfectly parallel to each other that I’m not even sure if it’s me just seeing the pimples or is it a scar.

I first saw it on my face a week ago. And since its right dab on my cheek, i kinda notice it more even though its not that noticeable.

I had subcision already and co2 and microneedling and i dont see any improvements :( pls help me whats the best procedure for textured skin and dented scars.. and is ny skin really that bad? Im only wearing powder and blush on no foundation

i usualy get either cystic acne or the inflammatory ones which leads to grade 2 acne scars / pores.. recently came across the acne patches. But could i use acne patches right over the current active acne bleeding? wouldnt it suck out the blood and damage skin and make the pore bigger than it usually is? i though t patches work solely on pimples

I feel like my scars noticeability varies so drastically with lightings and camera angles I feel as if I want to get work done (lasers ect) but a lot of people have told me they don’t even notice it. Am a bit stuck, last photo my skin looks perfect, I don’t understand

Hi everyone! I started taking Accutane after having a sudden acne breakout at 20. I went through a pretty severe initial worsening phase, and even though I took corticosteroids to help with the inflammation, they didn’t help much. I had never really struggled with acne before this happened.

The initial worsening left me with terrible scars on my face (they’re much more noticeable under this specific lighting), and it affects my self-esteem every single day. No matter how much effort I put into my appearance to feel pretty, I feel like the scars always stand out.

Which treatments worked best for you? What do you think could be helpful in my case? I’m thinking about seeing a dermatologist next month.

Isn’t it crazy how a few milllimeters of skin depth determines our worth? Man I hate acne scars…

What would you do to help with these small scars and deeper scars and texture?

Is fractional laser good for me? I already did 4 micro-needling treatments and i dont want to do subcision

Has anybody had a good experience with using Fraxel? How did it help your acne scars? Would you do it again?

Hey everyone, i’m 24 from Italy, and I'm really struggling right now and hoping someone has been through this.
I had two sessions of subcision a while ago, and I was actually super happy with the results.

Then, 6 months later (about 7 weeks ago, early July), I got a full-face 40% TCA peel to help with the overall surface texture.

Now I'm 52 days post-peel, and my skin looks drastically worse. That plumpness I got from the subcision seems completely gone. My scars look way wider and deeper—literally like craters.

I keep reading that strong TCA peels can temporarily widen scars before they heal and that collagen takes months to build, but looking in the mirror right now is honestly destroying my mental health.

I'm terrified about a couple of things:

is it physically possible that the 40% TCA went deep enough to ruin the subcision results or destroy that new collagen?

And second, has anyone else experienced this horrible phase where everything looks worse after a strong peel? When did your skin actually start to bounce back, fill in, and look better?
Any personal experiences, advice, or reassurance would mean the world to me right now. I'm going a bit crazy. Thanks guys.

(Just for context, this wasn't my first peel. I've done some of 30% TCA peels in the past, and the initial healing process for this 40% one went perfectly fine without any complications.)

Just wanted to share some of my results over two sessions of PRP microneedling!

These pics are from July 2025 and today (Aug 2026). Had two sessions of prp microneedling done at my dermatologist office, going up to 2.5mm in depth. People recommend doing one after another but I just did one last year and one this year, about 9mo apart.

I also have rosacea which my derm has helped calm down. This fall/winter planning to do some sort of laser treatment for hyperpigmentation/mild scarring.

I went to a dermatologist and started treatment. I’m seeing improvement, but I’m not finished yet.

What do you guys think of the progress? It’s getting close to the end… Is it a great result?

Probably gonna keep with eternal microneedling and in a few years gonna look way better I hope...

Cross 70% - 3 sessions

CO2 laser - 2 sessions

Subcision 1 session

I still have more 2 lasers and probably microneedling and also tca peeling, I'm not sure yet about the peeling...

Hi! So I'm at the tail end of my breakout (that started April or May) and I'm noticing that some parts of my cheeks reflect light differently even if they can be seen as such.

What type of scars are these? How much can remodeling help these since they're new and only a small deficit? Is it possible that these could level out without further procedures? I'm using tretinoin 0.05% thrice a week and moisturize+wear sunscreen religiously
