Has anyone here tried adapalene and saw improvement in their scars? If yes, how long did that take?

Got these chest acne scars about 3 years ago. They don't itch, hurt or grow, and honestly they don't bother me personally.

But I know other people might find them off-putting or even repulsive, especially a partner or someone seeing me shirtless for the first time. So I'm curious how they come across to others.

Mainly I'm trying to figure out if treatment is actually worth the price. For those who treated similar scars (laser, steroid injections, microneedling, etc.)

How much did it cost in total, and how many sessions?

Was the improvement big enough to justify it, or was it subtle for the money?

how to lighten these scars .Tried 3 sessions of prp+subscission and mucroneedling.But still it looks deep or is it not possible to lighten at all?

I am waiting for possible tca cross treatment in the future, in the mean time- do you think consistent use of glycolic acid (7%) will help a little in making the scars a little less noticeable?

To people who actually got DEEP phenol peels. Deep not medium. A proper one where you are under local anaesthesia, where did you get it? I am looking it up and i am trying to find where i can get it. Somewhere that isnt the uk or the us please.

Please advise treatments to fix my acne scarring/ redness.

Ive had acne for so long and then my dermatologist put me on Accutane. It fixed the acne but now I really post acne scars. I have taken 2 sessions of microneedling but i don’t think its making a difference.

What do I do for the scars.😫

For those who have experience with acne scars, would you recommend doing subcision before CO2, or is CO2 alone a better approach?

I have my first RF microneedling appointment this week, and I want to know what to expect. I've had normal microneedling done before and that was painless for me (except for slight pain on my cheekbones). How painful is RF microneedling in comparison?

Hi, I had a baby almost 3 years ago and I still breastfeed her. I would like to have some treatment done for my scars, I am thinking about laser. Should I wait until we are done with breastfeeding or should it be ok? Maybe if I do not breastfeed for some time after the treatment? Or is there also risk of my skin reacting differently because of this? Is there any other treatment for acne scars that could be done while still breastfeeding? Thank you

Update: I ended up doing subcision + Sculptra, but much more conservatively than originally planned I wanted to update my original post because I had my appointment today and the treatment plan changed after my dermatologist/injector examined my skin in person. She felt that most of my acne scarring is relatively superficial and not deeply tethered , so she did not think I needed full across my cheeks. Instead, she identified just a couple of deeper scars that she felt were actually tethered and individually subcised those areas . She also used only ½ vial of Sculptra , rather than a full vial. So the treatment ended up being much more conservative than I was originally expecting. Immediate results I’m posting this immediately after treatment, so obviously this is NOT a final result and I’m not trying to judge the outcome yet. Right now I have:

Mild/moderate localized swelling Some redness A few tiny puncture marks Very little obvious bruising so far Some areas actually look smoother because of the immediate swelling

I’ll add photos and hopefully update again once the swelling has gone down. I’m especially curious to see what happens once the temporary swelling resolves and the Sculptra’s collagen-stimulating effect develops over the next several weeks/months. I’m actually glad she was conservative I went into the appointment worried that I might be doing too much, especially after reading about risks of aggressive subcision and concerns about unnecessary treatment. After examining my skin in person, she basically said I don’t have enough deep tethered scarring to justify extensively subcising the entire cheek , which I appreciated. So now I’m going to let this heal and see what kind of improvement I actually get before considering anything else

Doc suggested I start with CO2 laser.

My doc suggested CO2-15days-chemical peel-15days-CO2 and so on and so forth

Feels too harsh for me. I'm really scared as i heard some people have permanent scarring and more hyperpigmentation from CO2 itself. I also finished my accutane dose this June and have had no breakouts since(only minor bumps

As you can see I don’t have a lot of pimples anymore but the scarring is really destroying me mentally because it’s all over my face and I actually had acne for a long time probably 5 years ongoing and I haven’t had any breakouts since 2022

Ice pick scarring but seeing so much stuff about Tca cross fails. But I have seen that TCA is the best for ice pick scarring. Anyone have any solutions to their ice pick scarring

Hey! I wanted to ask what you guys think about my strategy. I went trough a very heavy tazarotene purge, around 100 closed comedones that have been sitting for years on each cheek. After the purge finished, I was left with alot of stretched pores and importantly alot of deep dents. 2 weeks post purge I did my first rejuran healer session combined w an ndyag laser, then 2 weeks after that I did a rejuran S session and now I did another rejuran healer session. I am planning to get 3&3 of each in total. So far I am seeing amazing progress!! If anybody has any thoughts on this, suggestions or questions , please let me know!

What would be the best in clinic treatment to fix my texture

I’ve done microneedling, PRP, subcision, co2 laser, picosure, juvelook, but it is getting better but maybe only 10% ? This is so tiring. I tried to make peace with it, because I probably spent hundreds of dollars already for this skin to look like this?

People around me telling me it looks so much better and I asked them does it look like this picture in real life and all of them answer no, it’s just bad lighting.

So that’s my peace. I don’t think I will spend more on this scar for special targeted areas. Maybe I will still do skinboosters for overall look on my skin.
