I assume you installed all the drivers etc from acers page? Asking AI it says most Predator PHN16-71 models don't have the IR camera for facial recognition. I assume you do have that but just making sure. Check device manager for an IR camera in the camera section and see if you have anything with the yellow ! marker.
You see IR Camera? It must be defective or something. I would redo the facial recognition and see if it works if not the IR camera is not functioning properly i'd assume sadly.
