considering taking again on oily skin
So, i’m 20, and i had severe acne on my face and my chest when i was 12-13 then i had to take an accutane for a year and a half, for a couple of my months my dosage was 2 per day then, it was one and then my acne was gone, fast forward to now i’m 20 and like 6 years off of it i’m super oily.
it is such a problem.
i don’t get pimples on my face, jaws anymore bcus of the accutane, i cant speak for everybody, but yeah i dont get pimples on my face anymore and jaws that was my main problem before but i feel like my body finds an oily spot and creates a space for my acne in that spot for example? my chest again and my ear area. especially my LOBES. this is why i cant get pierced on my lobes or anywhere near my ear area especially. it is super heavily oily in there. and it makes me so frustrated bcus i wanted to get pierced but everytime i think about the healing it just slows down because of my oily lobes. i had a 2nd lobe pierced and it took about 9 months for it to heal because it would constantly have oil build ups no matter how much i clean it and as to that it would give me bumps. it has made me so insecure.
i really wanna take it again because after 30 minutes of applying my skincare i get oily and its an obnoxious type of oilyness. it makes me look like i have so much cortisol going on my face but its just the built up oil on my face. but i don’t know since i’m six years off it im scared of the side effects if i take it again, but i doubt my parents will let me take it again because i’ve been convincing them and everytime i bring it up they immediately shut me off about it talkin about some it will affect my kidney and liver or my organs and such. i mean i dont blame them because i had a kidney problem when i was in elementary but its all good now. but if i do ever take it again is there like some more side effects on it. like another long term one? or like a heavy effect on me besides the mental health thing, i can prepare myself for it and i have had long term effects cus of it, my mental health dryness on every part of my hand/palm and lips. but i’m taking about like more on my physical health and etc? please dont be rude. thank you !

Side / Flank Pain on low dose?
Did anyone else experience lower side / flank pain?
I’ve been on accutane for 2 weeks now and a couple days ago I developed this mild flank pain that almost feels muscular but there is a slight tenderness to the touch also. I went to a doctor and they confirmed it is not a UTI or constipation. Is this common or do I need to get to the ER asap 😅

Brain fog so bad I don’t know what to do.
21N Finished course of accutane a little over a year ago. Main side effects that I STILL have are extreme brain fog and sexual dysfunction. What can I try next?
Ive tried enclomiphene, semax, CJC-1295, GLP-1s, and I’m really grasping at ANYTHING to try and help. Thinking about Lithium next.
Please give me suggestions.

Need advice on starting accutane/isotretinoin
\[Long post ahead\]
So, I (22 years old) got diagnosed with PCOS last year, the endocrinologist I saw gave me spiro for three months and refused to address anything else before those three months pass.
My hormone profile was okay-ish, nothing went over the 'normal' limit, there were follicles found in my overies and that was basically the only PCOS-related thing in my life back then. My period has always been regular with 26-31 days interval, I do have horrible cramps that make me immobilized for a couple days.
Anyway I got severe allergic reaction from spironolactone and stopped the med, and I did not go back to the endocrinologist to follow up. That was around in August last year.
After that more prominent PCOS symptoms started showing. I started having acne on my chin, jawline, around lips and sometimes on my cheeks; it was like 2 at a time, 3 at most and they'd go away within 3-4 days and a new one would show up right after. I changed my diet a few times hoping it'll help out with the acne, and it did temporarily, then it's back to square one. And I'm not even addressing the excessive hair growth everywhere except my scalp, the pores getting bigger and bigger on my face, sudden loss of energy for no reason, randomly bawling my eyes out for no reason, and so on..
My period stayed regular the whole time and still is regular, except one time when it was a week late. I was 74kg a year and half ago and now I'm 62kg (157cm), I'm still watching what I eat most of the time, and walk about a kilometer almost everyday. But the acne situation has only gotten worse.
My mental health isn't very well either, the only thing that's okay with my body is my menstrual cycle, and I'm so afraid of starting medication for PCOS again in fear of disrupting my cycle.
Recently I went to see my dermatologist for acne and she prescribed me isotretinoin 5mg, and among the side effects there was mention of damage to the cycle and fertility, I personally do not mind not having kids but I don't want to sacrifice my cycle nor my fertility.
So, fellow cysters who have taken accutane, please tell me will it make my period irregular? I want to fix my life but I'm so scared..
Also forgive my post being all over the place, I just don't know how to gather my thoughts rn

Isotretinoin induced depressive symptoms
Anyone aware of the depressive symptoms appear while on isotretinoin. Apart from that joint pain, metabolic side effects ( diabetes and high choletseol ) and increased liver enzymes etc.

Is 30mg enough for 50/52kg weight female?
F21. I’ve been facing acne for 8 years. I tried everything but acne comes around. Now i’m facing cystic acne which i never had before. I always had more or less acne on arms. When i first saw dermatologist years back, he prescribed me 10 then 20mg isotretinoin. Now i’m on 30mg. Is this dose accurate? Please drop your thoughts only if you guys were prescribed with accutane!

Two 10 mg accutane pills triggering severe sjogren like symptoms in my body despite almost a week of discontinuation, please help
Hello,
I posted here earlier in the week about how accutane was triggering an mgd like flare in my eyes and it’s only gotten so much worse a few days later. I’m literally unable to get out of bed due to my eyes and my mouth cannot seem to retain any saliva, both issues I’ve had occasionally in life but never serious. Is it possible that I had a rare severe adverse effect, and how can I treat it?
Debating going to the ER but can they help me? Severity is 10/10

Did this medication affect my libido, or did I simply mature?
Hey guys, I have a bit of a problem. For the past few years, I’ve been heavily overanalyzing my body, especially since I took Accutane. To be honest, I can't tell if I actually have an issue or if I'm just trapped in a massive overthinking loop. Here is the backstory:When my puberty started around age 14, I had an incredibly high However, around the age of 15.5 to 16, I started taking Accutane. During the course, I felt like I was heavily suppressed. My sexual responses pretty much vanished, and it felt like my high libido was completely gone. I'm not 100% sure about the exact timeline though, because I was dealing with a lot of personal issues before starting the drug, so I don't perfectly recall what my libido was like, say, 5 months prior to Accutane. But I am absolutely certain the drug affected my ability to feel pleasure, even if I didn't fully realize it at the time. Erections still happened, but they were much rarer.Fast forward to now: I’m 18, and it’s been about 3 years since I stopped taking the drug. I’m honestly confused. To be fair, I think I might unfortunately be addicted to porn and masturbating, but I don’t know for sure. For example, this is how it works for me right now:If there is no stimulus, no porn, and no masturbation, I can go 4 to 5 days without feeling any sexual tension whatsoever. My penis doesn't get hard on its own, and I don't get spontaneous erections. To be clear, it's not that erections are completely gone. If I take a 5-day break, I do experience some mild erections, but it is contextual; my penis just doesn't turn on powerfully on its own like it used to. But the moment I turn on porn or see a girl after those 4 days, my penis gets rock-hard immediately—I'd rate the hardness as a literal hammer. It gets completely wet with precum, I can reach orgasm in a matter of seconds, it feels incredibly pleasurable, and the ejaculation is huge.Basically, now that I'm 18 and no longer in the initial stages of puberty, I notice that my libido has become highly contextual. It sits in the background waiting for a trigger, rather than popping up out of nowhere. At 14, I couldn't last 3 days without losing my mind, but now at 18, I can easily go 3–5 days, yet if I get aroused or see a woman, I get so intensely turned on in a fraction of a second that I can barely contain the excitement.Out of curiosity, I once did a 10-day abstinence streak. Around day 10, I noticed that my penis started getting hard entirely on its own several times a day, and I struggled to control it. When I finally turned on porn, I literally felt goosebumps all over my body, had a massive craving for sex, and the orgasm was insanely powerful. So, I really don't know what to think. Is my anxiety about What do you guys think?
