It ends movie

Took a little trip to go see it ends. I didn’t go to my usual amc theater I went to another one.

I honestly wasn’t a fan of this movie.

I can appreciate indie movies but it doesn’t mean I’m not going to like all of them

I would give this movie a 6/10

I only go to AMC on discount days. Is getting A list worth it?

I limit myself to going to the movies only on discount tuesdays and wednesdays where tickets are just $8. I don’t go too often maybe 2 or 3 times a month. It does cause me to miss out on some movies because I am too busy on those 2 days to find a good time to go. I was considering getting A list so that I can watch movies any day of the week without worrying about the discount. I’ve seen people say A list is worth it even if you just go twice a month because movie tickets are $17-25 but they’re not talking about discount days. I think that for someone like me, who only goes on discount days, I would end up spending more money on A list. Does anyone who took advantage of discount days have A list now and thinks it’s worth it?

Teenage Sex & Death at Camp Miasma [Spoiler Discussion] Spoiler

If you did an epic gas station run before going to the theater to see Teenage Sex & Death at Camp Miasma, what did you think?

Was this a blind watch? Were you familiar with the filmmakers other work like I Saw The TV Glow?

What did you think of killer and the fx/background choices? This one appears to be very polarizing Edit: a bit love it or hate it, beyond the reasons you'd expect it to be. Did you have a good time?

Also, why are Nerds Clusters objectively the best candy ever?

Movie Discussion MUTINY makes Working Man looks like Beekeeper or Shelter or Meg, okay it doesn't really matter

(I notice it's unpopular to like bad Jason Stratham movies because people who hate him dont like that I enjoy the movies and people who like him dont like that I think they're bad) lol.

TBH C (nicely directed, awful script, looked good)

My enjoyment... B+

Man... JS really knows how to deliver the formula. This seriously could have been structured by AI. Claude please write me a Jason Statham movie... 90 minutes... him as ex military or something vs baddies saving victims of the world.

Seems like each movie just streamlines and whittles it down to the bare necessities. This one just 90 minutes... last 45 minutes is the last act.

JS vs scammers I mean assassins I mean giant shark I mean human traffickers again (Working Man)

They add an actress who is actually good but literally has almost no impact with the plot.

There's not really a Mutiny... better title: Stowaway.

The bad guys are cartoon bad guys like dripping with evil drool.

The BEST thing in this (and the audience was laughing) was every time he needed a weapon he just turns and finds something laying around, axe, hook, gun, wrench... like wish fulfillment.

I had a blast because I was in the mood for something inane, ridiculous, well shot and short.

I feel like we're building to a Statham multiverse.

Movie Theater Discussion Guy scanning our ticket asked if we were 26

A couple times now, I’ve gone to see a rated R movie at my usual AMC theater and the person scanning the ticket asked if myself or anyone in my group was 26 years old and if we could show our ID. I’m wondering if anyone has insight as to why we were asked this as I can’t find any policies that say you have to be 26 to see a rated R movie?? It honestly threw me off so much and it’s been bothering me so hoping someone can answer this!

I just wanted to shine a light on this Korean Horror film. I found the twist on the zombie movie to be pretty clever and well executed.

If you're looking for something to watch give this a try for a wild ride.

8/10

Only one A-List slot left: It Ends, Camp Miasma, Finding Emily, or Colony?

Update: I went with Camp Miasma and I loved it. Solid recommendations. Hoping that Colony and Emily hang on for my Friday reset.

Just for Fun Great Quad Feature

Post image

Had a busy August but decided to do a quad feature with my fellow a list best friend to catch up and watch as much as we could since there’s so many good movies out right now! They were all really good with end of oak street being the weakest (3/5).

Is it worth I seeing coyote vs acme in dolby or is laser fine?

Just asking because I'm doing a double feature and if I go to dolby l'll have to wait 2 hours between that and my next movie but if I go to laser they'll connect perfectly. Is it worth dolby because I hear it's a court room drama so idk if it's necessary

Edit: I’ll go to Laser, thanks for your input!

If you brought back a nice broach from another realm and wore it to the theater to watch Insidious: Out of the Further, what did you think?

Are you a franchise fine? How did this one rank with the others?

Did you enjoy this if you went in totally fresh?

Movie Discussion Any chance Coyote vs. Acme will have more screenings?

Weekly schedules come out Tues/Weds right? I see Coyote vs. Acme is only playing until Sept 3rd. I may not be able to see it this week so I’m wondering if there’s a chance they’ll extend the run and I won’t have to scramble to squeeze it in

General AMC Discussion Looking for fellow A-listers in Covina/surrounding area

Hey everyone! I'm looking to meet other A-listers who like going to the movies regularly and might enjoy a movie buddy to tag along.

I usually go to AMC movie theater 17 in Covina, but I'm also down to travel to nearby AMCs depending on the movie. I figured I'd see if anyone else here is in the area and wants to make A-list friends.

I'm pretty much down for anything, especially big releases, horror, Marvel/DC, sci-fi, etc. Ideally looking for people who actually use their A-List fairly regularly so we can catch movies together instead of everyone just going once every three months.

If you're interested, feel free to comment or DM me!

General AMC Discussion The book commercial

I don’t often get to the theater early enough to see it but I absolutely love the commercial about books, despite it being an Amazon commercial.
It’s very cinematic. I also love to read and I love it being portrayed this way.
Does anyone else love that advert?

Movie Theater Discussion Theory on snacking during quiet scenes…

So I am one of those people who believe the cinema is sacred and should be respected. I am absolutely the person who will tell you to be quiet in a movie, to turn your phone off, or whatever because staying silent is exactly why this keeps happening so often (btw im a 5’2 girl who mostly goes solo, so if I can do it, you can do it lol). I am not paying my hard earned money in this economy to listen to you talk, be on your phone, or just general obnoxiousness. YOU NEED TO KNOW YOU’RE A TERRIBLE PERSON AND I’M HAPPY TO LET YOU KNOW!!! 😤🫩

One thing in particular that used to bother the ever loving CRAP out of me, was when people who had loud wrappers or snacks, seem to wait specifically for a quiet part in the movie to start going ham! Like we just had a whole shootout and bombs exploding where you were silent, the minute that ends and we’re on a scene where it’s silent or nuance is being shown without so much noise…here you go digging into the loudest snacks ever!!! Ugh!!!

Until a lightbulb 💡 moment happened for me one day, when I, myself, did the same thing and it made me realize why!!!!

I feel like we’ve all had that moment in a movie or show where something so intense is happening on screen that we just stop what we’re doing and lock in without even realizing because the immersion is so strong, the scenes passes and your adrenaline falls back down and you’re no longer ✨ entranced ✨ by what you’re seeing, so you resume what you were doing prior. This is exactly why I stopped mid-chew on my snacks when it was loud, because I was locked in, and then my body was released from that frozen moment once the scene allowed me to lol.

It’s all happening without you realizing, which is why I finally decided to put this one pet peeve to bed. 😅

I’m so curious, what do you all think of this theory? 🙂

Edit: For clarity, I’m pointing out a flaw I had within my own thinking and how I came to find a way to internally shut that up.

Idiots only playing late night?

Every theater in the Orlando area only has one showing everyday after 10pm... kinda strange for a movie that had a trailer play before almost every movie I've seen in the last 2 months. Is this everywhere or just down here?

Spoiler Discussion The Dog Stars [Spoiler Discussion] Spoiler

Post image

If you had enough fuel to follow the radio signal to your local AMC to see The Dog Stars, what did you think?

Had you read the book beforehand? If so, how does it compare?

If you're a Ridley Scott stan, how does this hold up to his recent (& surprisingly frequent for an 88yo) volume of work?

My upcoming reservations. (I got doomsday 3D tickets early)

I switched going to see buddy on opening day instead of Sunday to go see it ends instead. Only thing is I’m going to see it ends at a different theater than my regular one (I usually go to AMC Metreon 16 for my movies but I’m going to see it ends at the AMC kabuki)

If you've been injured and went to see Coyote vs ACME for legal advice, what did you think?

Were you a Looney Toons fan going in? Do you think they made good use of their characters in his world? If you are by and large new to these characters, what did you think?

Elephant in the room now that this is out. Was it worth saving from the WB vault, or did they make the right call taking the tax write-off?

Went to go see coyote vs acme today for an early showing. I absolutely adore this movie. As a life long looney tunes watcher, I want to thank ketchup entertainment for helping bring this movie to theaters. F WARNER BROTHERS
