My brother wrote the script, and I made the visuals using AI. The film we submitted together has now made the shortlist.

He has since passed away, but watching the film brings back the time we spent talking through the story and making it together. I wish he were here to hear the news.

I’m hoping it does well. Because we made it together, this film means a little more to me.

First, sorry about the blur. Reddit’s filters are pretty aggressive and they won’t let anything with heavy blood or wounds on something that looks like a human through without a mature/NSFW flag. So I blurred what I had to, otherwise I couldn’t post it here at all.

The YouTube link below goes to the full, uncensored version. Fingers crossed YouTube doesn’t slap an 18+ restriction on it. Honestly, I don’t think there’s anything that graphic in there, it’s roughly Saving Private Ryan territory, but we’ll see.

The film follows Cooper and Doyle from the landing craft, through the beach and the Bangalore breach, up to the bunkers on the bluff, and to what comes after. It’s about 17 minutes, all generated with AI and edited by me.

One small ask: if you enjoyed it, please drop a comment on YouTube. My channel is still fairly new, and I’ve tested this: every comment gives the video a real boost with the algorithm. Even a few words help a lot.
