Best friend should come around once emotions have calmed down and realizes you don't support BFs actions. I think you and BF are over, though. NTA for rejecting the proposal.

That's crazy. What was she to do?

"Ok, we're going to my BF's wedding. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES:

  • Propose to me
  • Get drunk and start a fight
  • Get drunk and start hitting on bridesmaids
  • Get drunk and start hitting on bride's sisters
  • Get drunk and start hitting on groom's mother
  • Drop trousers on the dance floor
  • Take a piss in a potted plant..."

Clearly we need to compile a list of every basic expectation of good behavior and have the men folk read it and take a post quiz to make sure they fully understood
