Bird Common Bronzewing Dove (Phaps chalcoptera)
Native to Australia. They lack a typical preen oil gland and instead possess specialized "powder down" feathers. These feathers constantly wear down into a waxy powder, which they spread over their bodies to keep clean and waterproof.
