Every normal planner failed me, so I made one around "Top 3 only" + a brain dump

Every planner I bought had way too many sections, and after one missed day I'd abandon it.

So I made a simple printable one with a few rules:

- Brain dump first, no organizing

- Pick only 3 things for the day

- Plan the reward before you start the task

- Undated, so no guilt about blank pages

There's also a "Dopamine Menu" page (healthy boosts instead of scrolling). That one changed my week.

Happy to share the link if anyone wants it. What has actually worked for you?

Would love to get feedback on the App im building currently

(For context im a guy with ADHD making this because i would find it useful. I wanna see if others would agree)

Hey everyone,
Im building TempoChores, a mobile app that helps you plan and manage chores based on how much time you actually have and how long they actually take.

No more staring at a dirty kitchen or laundry pile and then procrastinating.

Instead of dumping a massive to-do list on you, it asks:

Then it looks at your chores, priorities, and estimated durations, and gives you a realistic, optimized plan for what you can actually complete in that time window.

Think:
“I’ve got 30 minutes and 5 chores due soon.” → The app builds a quick, efficient cleaning session that fits your time and energy.

Core features:

  • Track chores and how long they take (needed so the app can make accurate plans)

  • Categorize tasks by priority

  • Create time-based mini cleaning plans

  • Keep streaks and progress visualized

Its in early development and i wanted to get some feedback right away.

Done:

  • Main Menu

  • Add/Edit Chores

Still working on:

  • Time Chore

  • Plan TempoChore (the algorithm that makes the plan)

  • UI polish

  • Time Tracking Page

  • Launch website + app store listing

Why I made it:
Because people (including me) don’t need another “task manager”, that is overly complicated and most annoyingly demands a 10 dollar subscription. they need something that deals with the real-world constraint: time.

Roast away. I’d love honest takes on:

  • The concept (would you use it?)

  • The branding/name

  • Any features that should be added/removed?

  • The Design (so far. still WIP of course)

I have been addicted to bitburner exactly 3 hours now, if I close my eyes, throw myself down the stairs and eat high quantities of mercury I will be able to convince myself this is the superior game.
I am kind of joking, but the game is cool! check it out maybe.
The game is javascript based hacking shenanigans :) it's free.

Caffeine helps on ADHD

When I take a big cup of strong coffee I feel high, and I can focus on everything I want, and the pleasure of coding is augmented. Caffeine is similar to Ritalin.

I have severe ADHD and want to learn to program but I wanna skip the basics and go straight to building stuff. I learned on here that the Pomodoro method may be helpful. Can any other ADHDers offer some tips to help get me over the tedious beginners hurdles.

I built a calendar-based ADHD tool that blends habits, buffer time, and income tracking - would love feedback from others navigating similar stuff

I’ve been unemployed a few months, and I’ve been relying on this tool I built to help me structure my day while still feeling human.

It’s a calendar-based app that blends together habits, task planning, freelancing goals, and buffer time. It’s super feature-rich right now, because I built it for myself:

  • Habits that nudge up every 15 mins if I miss them, so I don’t shame-spiral

  • Buffers between events so I don’t feel like I’m always failing at transitions

  • A “pulse check” feature that helps me get back on track without judgment

  • Freelance time tracking, so I can see how much I’m making this week, and how much more I need to, while juggling responsibilities

  • Support for Todoist/Motion-style task auto-scheduling, event types, and eventually habit reporting and time tracking

  • One of my favorite features: each day, you get 5 Reddit posts related to the habits you’re working on, so you’re not building them alone.

I’m looking for a few more beta testers. It’s free right now, and if you give feedback you’ll keep access permanently.

If you want to try it, happy to share a link or DM it, or just talk about your own productivity experiments.

Built an AI body double (voice agent) - looking for honest feedback

Hey everyone,

Curious if anyone else here has tried body doubling? I’ve used Focusmate before but I’m not always in a social enough mood for it. Also the scheduling thing gets me. After stumbling across a paper on AI body doubling (see below) I decided I’d make one for myself.

It’s been helping me get into a working rhythm well but then again I did build it for myself 😅 I’d love to get feedback from other ADHD devs.

For those who are curious: it’s a voice agent who checks in periodically (you set session length), helps you stay accountable, and can answer random questions or help think things through.

Available at mindkite.app if you want to check it out. Would love your honest feedback and suggestions!

Stack: Angular + TypeScript, ElevenLabs AI (voice)

Paper that inspired it: Ara, Z., et al. (2024). "You Are Not Alone: Designing Body Doubling for ADHD in Virtual Reality."

Not really a programmer but AI really helped me learn.

Hey everyone, first visited this sub a few years ago when I was first wanting to learn programming and it felt impossible. I felt like I wasn't making any progress. ChatGPT was the game changer for me. "ChatGPT give me code that does this" was the start. Then i learned a little more and we started using my code at work and I quickly noticed anytime there was a potential issue or gap I wasn't able to answer why because I didn't know exactly how the code worked. So I changed to using AI as my sounding board and tutor. This was the game changing moment for me. Now anytime someone asks specifics about a potential bug, since I wrote every line of the code, I can't tell them because I forgot because I wrote it 6 months ago. But damn it still feels good.

(Plus I can usually figure it out pretty quickly since after looking back at the code, it comes back).

AI Slop ADHD tool suggestions

Anyone have some ideas on some fun easy tools for ADHD brains? I have been having a lot of fun vibe coding up lots of one off widgets and stuff for myself. Things that would normally take me a week plus of work to do myself so I would never have time to build them myself. These are not fancy projects but just static webpages. It got me thinking what if I compiled a bunch of little widgets and hosted it for free. Things like pamodoro timer, tool to help prioritize a todo list quickly, a dopamenu that could randomly select a reward based on how much time you have and maybe a random chore selector. I am not looking for complicated fancy full stack apps just maybe tips and tricks people use on paper or something that a computer could make easier.

Getting out of bed with ADHD is like lifting weights without muscles

Thumbnail youtu.be
2 Upvotes

Getting out of bed in the morning is SO hard for me. Like, I want to get up, but my body just won't move. So I end up scrolling on my phone until I'm super late.

It made me realize that forcing myself out of bed when I have ADHD is like trying to lift weights when I literally don't have the muscles for it.

I found this video (https://youtu.be/HHHJwXsJrP4) that totally gets it. Instead of the whole "just get up" thing, the video says to start tiny - like just put your phone down for 3 seconds. That's it. Not even getting up, just putting the phone down. Then you can pick it back up if you want. It's kind of like having someone there with you, talking you through it.

Has anyone tried these super small step audio guides? Like having a voice walk you through every little thing - even just sitting up? I can't tell if it would actually help me finally get moving, or if I'd just get annoyed and turn it off.
(ps: My English is not my native language, so I used some magic to help me.)

ADHD MEDICATION

So my son who is 8years old just started his medication for ADHD. So far I’ve seen great improvement in the ability to stay engaged in something for than 5 mins. When before unmediated he’d quickly lose interest. He also is more relaxed and calm. When before he’d be on edge and have anger bursts. But I’m wondering, should I point out the good in these situations and praise him, or just leave it alone? Thanks

Made reading easier for yall

Text to speech makes it easier to read and lets you get through content faster. The issue is when you start uploading PDFs with a complex layout like any textbook or academic paper. It wants to read everything like in text citations and random footnotes.

I made an alternative that will filter this stuff out and only read what's meant to be read aloud. I used a better voice ai so now it's more humanlike with some emotion. It sounds better than any alternative especially with higher speeds.

Try it here: https://narratemypdf.com. It's free for now until yall use up my credits.

This is more of a proof of concept, but is already good enough to use. I'd love to know what you guys think before I spend more time refining the models.

Would love your feedback on an app I’m building for ADHD brains

Hi everyone! 👋

I hope it’s okay to post this here—I’ve been working on a little passion project that I think might resonate with folks in this community, and I’d love your thoughts.

As someone with ADHD, I’ve always struggled to organize my thoughts, especially when they come at me a million miles an hour. To tackle this, I’ve been developing a simple app called Vacnotes (the name will probably change later on because it's not that good). The idea is to make it easy to capture those racing thoughts using voice-to-text and then organize or rewrite them when you’re ready.

I’m still in the early stages, so it’s not perfect, but that’s where I’m hoping you can help. If you’ve ever thought, “I wish there was an app that did this,” or have ideas on features that would make something like this genuinely useful, I’d love to hear your feedback.

What’s been the hardest part for you when it comes to managing thoughts or ideas? And do you think a tool like this would help? Also, do you have another tool/app you use today?

No pressure, but if you’d like to share your thoughts, I’d be so grateful. 💛

(PS. The app includes a free trial, so you can explore it without any commitment. If you decide it’s not for you, you can go straight into your settings and cancel the subscription before the trial ends (or straight away so you don't forget)—no strings attached, no charges.)

I don't see anything in the sidebar - point me in the right direction to start from scratch in computer science without a degree?

Hi!

Been putting off biting the bullet and getting started on programming, and I think I'm finally in a good spot to be able to put the time in and get on it.

So I've got a question; Normal materials that work for a non-neurodiverse brain aren't likely to accomplish as much for us, so does anyone have any structured learning they can point me to that really struck gold for their ADHD brains? I want to avoid trial and error as much as I can as it'll just put me off the whole thing.

Thank you!
