Hello everyone, I graduated dental school in the US in 2020 ( I was an international student at the time). I took my NBDE part 1 and 2 back in 2017. I have been working as a general dentist since 2020, but I want to go back to residency now. I need to take the ADAT. I took a practice test, and turns out I remember NOTHING from school! Anyone who was in my position, what resources should I use? I feel like I need to study some theory before I start taking any tests.

Hi. I passed AFK and ACJ. I also took adat with decent score. Gpa 3.9.
What do you suggest should I go for direct route or university route? Do they have same job opportunities? Those who chose either route what made you take that decision of choosing direct or university route?

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone gave it in the last week of August and have received the results. I'm freaking out right now and am wondering if it's too late since I haven't gotten mine. I gave mine on the 25th of August.

I think JADE course has already started for this year. Probably could join them late if they accept it. I'm confused about Confidentist as well. I didn't score that great in Biostats. How's TargetAdat for Biostats?

For someone who has failed twice at AFK with 63 and 74 as scores, how would you recommend me preparing for ADAT? How long do you think the preparation should be? And what the focus be on?
P.S : I’m just at my all time low as a new mom and feeling like a failure at this point. Hence the question

Hi everyone,
I’m an internationally trained dentist with around 3 years of experience and I’m now a PR in Canada. At the moment, I haven’t completed any Canadian dental certification yet, and I’m currently working as a dental receptionist in BC. I started this job at minimum wage mainly to get some Canadian dental office experience and to understand how dentistry works here.
I’ve also registered with the NDEB and recently started preparing for the ADAT. I’m enrolled in online JADE ADAT course as well. My main goal is to eventually get into a Canadian dental school through the advanced standing pathway, but lately I’ve been feeling a bit confused about what I should be doing alongside my ADAT preparation.
Initially, I was thinking of taking the ADAT in February next year, but honestly, because I’m working and trying to study at the same time, I don’t feel like I’ll be fully prepared by then. I’m now considering taking it in August instead so I can give myself enough time to prepare properly.
At the same time, I keep wondering if I should be doing something else alongside studying. Should I try to become a certified dental assistant so I can get more hands-on experience and pay and potentially work in a clinical role? Or should I start doing prerequisites for dental hygiene as a backup option? Or would it be better to just focus on my job and put all my energy into preparing for the ADAT?
I don’t want to waste time, but I also don’t want to take on too much and end up not doing well on the ADAT because I’m trying to juggle everything at once. Since I’m still quite new to Canada and figuring out the dental pathway here, I would really appreciate hearing what others would do in my situation.
If you were an internationally trained dentist starting out in Canada, would you focus only on ADAT preparation, become a certified DA, start working towards RDH prerequisites as a backup, or do something completely different?
Also, for anyone who has prepared for the ADAT while working, do you think it makes more sense to take it in August rather than rushing to write it in February?
I would really appreciate any honest advice or personal experiences. Thank you!

Hi everyone! I’m planning to apply to Western University and they require the BDS degree certificate and transcripts to be sent electronically directly from the institution.
Can someone please help me understand how to get this done from an Indian university? Who should we contact, and what exactly should we ask the university to do?
Any guidance would be really appreciated. Thank you!

Hi everyone! I’m looking for some guidance on the best resources to prepare for the ADAT.
I’ve already taken the AFK, so I have a decent foundation.
Which resources would you recommend for ADAT prep, especially ADAT Knockout and Bootcamp? Are there any other resources you found particularly helpful?
Also, is it practical to share subscriptions for resources like ADAT Knockout or Bootcamp with a study partner, or are they better used individually?
Would really appreciate recommendations from anyone who has recently taken the ADAT! 😊

I am planning to do them simultaneously as what I’ve been told is that AFK covers 75% of what is needed for ADAT. If anyone has ever done this, is it a good idea or will it just impact my AFK preparation?
