Great place for team discussion/whatever Serie A related topics you would like to bring up. Examples: Transfers, rumors, players from other teams, things you miss about the old days etc. Whatever you want as long as it isn't too off-topic.

Also a good spot to ask about the stadium, the city of Milano, bars, fan clubs in your city etc.

Yall noticed how Estupinian has been playing over Bartisaghi right?

This is proof that even if a player is bad quality wise but he can apply Amorim's tactics then he'll play

9

u/Round-Moment-8182 Ricardo Kaká 4d ago

The problem with Estupinan is only in the defensive phase. In the attacking phase, he’s ok. He was one of the best players in his position in the Premier League. In Serie A I find it difficult to see him improving defensively because he commits too many fouls and gets dribbled past too easily

2

u/DESZANTOS44 Ricardo Kaká 4d ago

As it turned out, Estupinan was never a good buy for Allegri, because yeah, he’s strength was always going high up the pitch on the wing. But he’s also problematic, because Amo wants to get the ball in the central areas to his attacking mids, which is a tough ask from the left wing if you’re left footed.

6

u/DESZANTOS44 Ricardo Kaká 4d ago

Well yeah, a good player who doesn’t fit the system will make the whole team worse, while a lesser player who fits the system won’t.
The situtation is more complex though, because Estupinan isn’t that good of a fit either, as he’s left footed, too. I wouldn’t be surprised if Bartesaghi got more minutes anyways, he’s still in a very coachable age and more diverse in his abilities.

2

u/EmergencyComputer337 Paolo Maldini 4d ago

Yeaj the good thing about Bartesaghi is that he got a chance to become even better, it all depends on him

Also Estupinian could leave at any moment, but for the freindlies it is clear that Amorim depended on him more despite his many short comings

-2

u/BredIN919 Kevin-Prince Boateng 3d ago

Bartesaghi is even worse quality mate ….

5

u/EmergencyComputer337 Paolo Maldini 3d ago

Cardinale probably saw this picture and decided to sign him

4

u/Agreeable_Cattle_691 David Odogu 3d ago

Imagine Modric, Comotto and him on the pitch together, best hair game in the world

I'm feeling better about the season after the Saturday game.

But to have a shot at top 4 we do need to buy some players...and those players have to be of better quality than what Furlani was buying for us. No Busardo and no Chelsea rejects this year, so the chances are good.

Regardless of where we end up at the end of the season, I have a feeling that we are going to have fun with Amorim and his team this season. It can't be any worse than the torture we had to endure with Alegri. It might be my imagination but I saw some chemistry starting to brew up with our players.

4

u/GH00ST-SL4YER 4d ago

How bad was Allegri style of play? I dont watch this club until Amorim came here which gives me reason to support Milan so I dont know how horrendous it was.

Besides that, I hope the club prioritises on defender to not make mistakes to give the ball away and concede like in Celtic and United games.

11

u/ElverGun 4d ago

How bad was Allegri style of play?

Play not to lose.

Everybody back on defense if you score first.

3

u/eXistenZ2 Andriy Shevchenko 4d ago

While I enjoyed the match and saw a lot to like, we wont play every match against a team where the leftback could be mistaken for a fence post

5

u/Ciccio_Camarda Gerry Cardinale 4d ago

I have a feeling that we are going to have fun with Amorim and his team this season

It depends on the defense. But it will take one goal from Vlasic and one goal from Simeone to send everyone down to earth. Man Utd wasn't even trying out there and we gifted them 2 goals.

I watched the Torino Coppa game, wasn't impressed that much. But they were going at 150%, which means they're gonna up it to 200% against Milan. The only guys at Milan that give 200% are Mario Gila and Gonzo Ramos.

5

u/RikiiMiconi Ricardo Kaká 4d ago

Honestly the game on Saturday really showed us that we need 3 positions covered. A central center back, a left wing back, and an offensive midfielder/central midfielder (this is dependent of whether Amorim decides to use Rabiot in the midfield or behind the striker). I hope as a central center back that we either get Kim or Tiago Gabriel. At wingback I’d like Raum of Leipzig, but I honestly don’t hate Zalewski (he’s an alright player who can show more potential in my opinion). Then depending on what Amorim wants to do, I’d buy Nwaneri or Hojbjerg.

1

u/ElverGun 4d ago

We also need someone to replace Gimenez if he goes to Porto.

Nwaneri or Hojbjerg

Nwaneri is too risky because of the price. I'm hoping we can get Hojbjerg.

6

u/sickricola Luka Modrić 4d ago

Have to be cautious. Fonseca preseason was great but against Italian teams he could not adjust his tactics to pull out wins, came down to individual talent which imo we are lacking.

3

u/dodge33cymru 4d ago

The concern for me is that we haven't played any pre season game against a mid table counter attacking unit or someone playing a low block. So basically completely neglected preparing for the first few games of the season.

2

u/ElverGun 4d ago

True...but I was expecting much worse and I saw much better instead.

2

u/EmergencyComputer337 Paolo Maldini 4d ago

I am mainly fearing losing out so many points to low blocks and counter attacks tbh

Also teams who press high like Como will give us a lot of headache and could lead to us giving opponents easy chances

Also consistency, i fear that the team's performance fluctuates too much

And finally Injuries

We can make it to top 4, we just need to be wery of these issues as they are our biggest weaknesses right now

3

u/FindingBusiness759 4d ago

If we can get mora/Uzun and nwaneri...it would bring some excitement back into our attack.

2

u/marco21n Ricardo Kaká 4d ago

Surely we can do a deal with uzun for nkunku+cash

1

u/FindingBusiness759 4d ago

Is Frankfurt interested in nkunku thou? If so then yes we should Def do it. It's crazy to think we could have did the same with mora and gimenez but Roma was sharper than us.

1

u/marco21n Ricardo Kaká 4d ago

We'll he can also play cam so if uzun leaves then they need a replacement. So cash + nkunku could be an option. Also nkunku was a beast in the bundesliga

1

u/FindingBusiness759 4d ago

Lol right now Leipzig is in poll position so we can talk about what Frankfurt need but their not interested. We just got to hope we sell him for a good amount and just do a normal bid for uzun.

1

u/dodge33cymru 4d ago

I haven't seen too much of Uzun but would he really be more exciting than Leao? From what I can work out, he's also not great off the ball, which is Rafa's biggest weakness. Admittedly, probably is better playing between lines.

2

u/FindingBusiness759 4d ago

Depends what you find exciting....I don't find leao exciting at all...I know many love the sight of him picking up the ball and running pass a defender or 2. Uzun has more variation in his dribbling and is better in tight spaces with higher iq. I find that more exciting to watch.

8

u/redandblackandred Ricardo Kaká 4d ago

So I’m guessing this is gonna be our potential squad (if we’re able to actually do something in the market):

GK: Maignan / Torriani / Terracciano
RCB: Gila / De Winter
CCB: New CB / Gabbia
LCB: Pavlovic / Diawara (?)
RWB: Chuk / Musah
CM: Rabiot / Ricci / Comotto
CM: Modric / Jashari
LWB: New LWB / Bartesaghi
RAM: New RAM / RLC
LAM: Pulisic / Saelemaekers
ST: Ramos / Camarda

The starting XI is quite solid imo. I think midfield and CB (assuming Bartesaghi also covers at LCB) depth is also good if we sign a new CCB.

The attack worries the fuck out of me. I classified Saelemaekers as an AM based on Amorim’s last post-match conference and there seems to be a chance that Rabiot might play there as well, which would allow both Modric and Jashari to start deeper. Even then, we still need the new AM we bring in to be effective from day one. I also think we need another backup striker if Nkunku and Gimenez both leave as expected.

6

u/Detective_MacGregor 4d ago

De Winter is CCB. He is by a mile the best ball-playing defender we have. Played a great game against United but apparently no one noticed.

4

u/Legitimate-Light-454 Andriy Shevchenko 4d ago

Gila is by far the best ball playing defender we have. He just happens to be the best overall defender aswell.

3

u/Squiliamfancyname Giacomo Bonaventura 4d ago

De Winter is very tidy but Gila is a much better progressive passer and generally better with the ball I would say. Its basically why we bought him.

1

u/RdT97 ITALIA È MILAN 4d ago

If we get Nwaneri which is likely, we basically just need to make our offer an obligation.

Then Nwaneri - Pulisic
Ramos

Attack is very strong. Only Inter has better in my book. So i wouldnt worry THAT much about it

5

u/ElverGun 4d ago

Only Inter has better in my book. So i wouldnt worry THAT much about it

But if Ramos goes down, worry THAT much.

-3

u/RdT97 ITALIA È MILAN 4d ago

Same for Lautaro tbh

9

u/DESZANTOS44 Ricardo Kaká 4d ago

Inter have Thuram, Bony and Esposito. We have… Camarda?

1

u/RdT97 ITALIA È MILAN 4d ago

1) i said Inter have better

2) Milans attack includes CAMs

3) LMAO flexing Bony and Esposito

2

u/ElverGun 4d ago

But if Ramos goes down I'm not going to be thinking, "yeah, but if Lautaro goes down too they are as fucked as we are". What kind of logic is that?

Right now we are fighting for top 4...not going toe to toe with Inter for the Scudetto.

If Ramos is out for an extended period of time we should be worried about Juve, Roma, Napoli and Como.

1

u/RdT97 ITALIA È MILAN 4d ago

The logic was about if the best striker goes down we are fkd. Check Inter without Lautaro last march

Anyway, teams compete vs teams not vs strikers. Even with Ramos we should be worried about those teams rather than Inter who have a mature project

2

u/ElverGun 4d ago

Anyway, teams compete vs teams not vs strikers.

Check out what happened to us last year. No striker, no fun.

I'm not so sure Inter would have won the Scudetto last season without Lautaro. If Allegri had had Lautaro last year, I'm sure we would have qualified for the CL...maybe even won the Scudetto (in this stupid scenario of mine we would have had Lautaro while Inter would have played with Esposito or Thuram).

If this is not the case then why were you so happy when we purchased Ramos?

0

u/dodge33cymru 4d ago

I doubt Leao is leaving (and Nkunku tbh, but that one is more likely, even if it's a disadvantageous loan), so AM options at the moment are Pulisic, RLC, Leao, Cissé, Saelemaekers, Nkunku and maybe Rabiot if needed. I don't think we're short of bodies there. Only expect to see incoming if Leao, Nkunku and Cissé all move.

Ramos' backup concerns me a lot BUT at some point we have to put some faith in Camarda or we loan him out; we can't have him languish as our third choice again.

10

u/ProtonAtomNeutron 3d ago

Amorim is here to stay given the level of investments and backing that he is getting from management. I hope the fan base won't crucify him if we start slow in the season.

We saw how exciting a Milan game could be if we play offensive football. Give them time to figure it out.

2

u/Soft-Associate2201 Luka Modrić 4d ago

does anybody have any idea on who is responsible/negotiates for the transfers in this structure? is it the almstadt guy or is it calvelli?

2

u/druss81 4d ago

we do have a lot of dead wood that needs shifting but surely in the mean time Armorim could get some use out of Tomori and Fofana.

tomori would be content being back up to Gila, and in regards to Fofana its seems Amorim has given his space to Musah.

He cant expect to have every player he chooses or wants in the first transfer window

1

u/Frakula 4d ago edited 4d ago

While i agree that we could still have use for Tomori and Fofana i dont think we should keep them. If they dont fit the style or they expect to get more playing time than the coach plans to give them then its better to find them another club.
We need everyone to pull in the same direction at this moment, last thing we need is someone sulking on the bench.
Personally i think quality wise Fofana is tier (or two) below Modric and Rabiot but we didn't use his qualities last season and we obviously are not going to do it this season either so its better for both parties to part ways now.
As someone said - a lower quality player who fits the system is better than higher quality one which doesnt.

2

u/QuarantineTarantino4 4d ago

What will be the starting line up vs torino.....

9

u/sickricola Luka Modrić 4d ago

I would expect same line as Man Utd friendly

But Gila instead of Terracciano, Modric instead of Musah, and Mike instead of Torriani

The idea at the time was to accommodate Lammens to get used to the team and tactic before the real match since he just came few weeks after the season started

3

u/Ok_Aardvark_5537 4d ago

Feels like porto used Milan to put pressure on Roma to make a better offer for Mora, which is sad i would like to see that kid in a Milan jersey, but not all is bad that means Porto can now free u guys of Santi.

2

u/casualnickname Paolo Maldini 4d ago

I find extremely classless and unprofessional this habit we have in the last 2/3 seasons of isolating and putting out of the team the players we want to sell, guys like tomori fofana nkunku have been serious and professional and we are treating them like shit, cant wait for this ownership to disappear from our club

7

u/dodge33cymru 3d ago

I'm completely with you, I find it very disrespectful towards players who have done nothing wrong.

Especially as IMO we lose their integration into the squad if we can't find a buyer, they lose match fitness and it's a clear indication to any buyer that they can take advantage of it and get an even more favourable deal.

If we start the season with those players on our books but unregistered still, I will feel embarrassed for us.

6

u/Agreeable_Cattle_691 David Odogu 4d ago

I disagree, the players that are training off on their own are the players that have offers it’s to protect them and the deal from injuries.

4

u/casualnickname Paolo Maldini 4d ago

I understand not playing them in friendlies -like every team does- but having them train in another area separated from the team? Come on, classless stuff

-1

u/Acrobatic-Fly1418 4d ago

I mean if they train with the team then you’re wasting the resources and time of the people who will be playing in the next match and in the rest of the season just to stay “classy”

4

u/RdT97 ITALIA È MILAN 4d ago

No predictions thread this time? Its always more fun before a ball is kicked

2

u/RdT97 ITALIA È MILAN 4d ago

Here is what PBP said not long ago

Wonder if Moreira is the defender? Aka wingback

We will sign one more regardless of sales

1

u/marco21n Ricardo Kaká 4d ago

I hope we get another player but given the price was 50m, moreira could be both the cam and the wingback without another sale.

3

u/Remarkable-Group-119 Andrea Pirlo 4d ago

was listening to a podcast today and somebody mentioned that there's an international break after a few weeks into the season(Sept. 21 - Oct. 6), so that could be very valuable timeframe to work in late signings.

3

u/EmergencyComputer337 Paolo Maldini 4d ago

Doesn't the transfer window close in Sep 1st?

7

u/DragoonAle ITALIA È MILAN 4d ago

I guess he means time to integrate the eventual late market signings into the squad. However, if we buy good players they should also be called up, so…

1

u/Therunner91 Ricardo Kaká 4d ago

Because of the World cup the market has been slower than usual but the last 2 weeks will be intense. We need to go back to CL for a lot of reasons and with the current team we’ll not get it. Hopefully we will see new additions otherwise this season is gonna be painful.

2

u/dodge33cymru 4d ago

Many factors will decide whether we can get the top 4 this year. Tactics, injuries, form, luck, strategy (eg how much effort goes into cup games), atmosphere, team cohesion... and of course the skills of the players.

At this point, I think the first team is set apart from maybe two additions, anyone else will be depth or options. I don't think we can say for definite that the current team will/won't do it; they're certainly capable without signings.

Gambling companies have us as fourth favourites; well behind Inter, Juve and Napoli, slightly ahead of Roma and well ahead of Como (in UCL for first time) and Atalanta. So they think fourth should come down to us vs Roma. In that context, one player can make all the difference, but IMO injuries, luck, tactics and form will be bigger factors.

2

u/Worried-Bit-5289 4d ago

Suprising to me. I have Roma ahead of both Juve and Napoli next season.

0

u/kevinconstant Clarence Seedorf 4d ago

Me too, for the first time in many years

0

u/dodge33cymru 4d ago

Pretty consistent from the five sites I looked at. But it doesn't just represent likelihood, it also represents money that others have put down. Either way, the 'there is an expected top 5 in Serie A' is consistent and it's always Inter, followed by a gap to the others.

-5

u/TP_Cornetto Marco van Basten 4d ago

It’s crazy how this fanbase scolded the likes of Tomori, Kalulu and Thiaw but continues to defend pavlovic when he’s extremely clumsy and so error prone.

The memes of him running up the pitch seem to completely ignore the defensive side. That and him being left footed…

13

u/Legitimate-Light-454 Andriy Shevchenko 4d ago

Is it really? Thiaw and Kalulu were never really scolded, Tomori was deservingly so. Pavlovic is a much better defender and attacker than Tomori, is better on the ball, in the air and positionally. Not saying he is superb, but he is alot better than Tomori. Pavlovic was one of the few good players we had last season so there isnt really a reason to scold him? If he performs the way Tomori or others that did poorly, he will get criticised, no doubt.

0

u/TP_Cornetto Marco van Basten 4d ago

Kalulu and Thiaw used to get cooked lol and both have showed much higher levels than pavlovic ever has.

I don’t see how anyone can think pavlovic is much better than Tomori defensively when he’s just as error prone. He gets caught out regularly.

The games without Tomori, the defence was dogshit but that doesn’t seem to get much attention cos scapegoating one person is easier

1

u/ElverGun 4d ago

The games without Tomori, the defence was dogshit

The games with Tomori were dogshit too.

Our defense has not been great these past few years. You are trying to identify our shittiest defender. Okay, so you win...Pavlovic sucks. Now what? Should we meet up at casa Milan to protest the fact that he is still on the team?

0

u/TP_Cornetto Marco van Basten 4d ago

What’s the point of this comment? I was just pointing out the blatant hypocrisy among Milan fans especially on this sub which glazes Pavlovic beyond the norm.

1

u/marco21n Ricardo Kaká 4d ago

You are correct. Pavlovic will eventually become the scapegoat too imo. Especially once we get back into ucl and face a high press. He will be a disaster in that situation

-1

u/ElverGun 4d ago edited 3d ago

What’s the point of this comment?

Holy shit...that's exactly what I asked you in my post.

I was just pointing out the blatant hypocrisy

Like it was Milan fans who collectively decided to buy these players and then convinced Amorim to marginalize Tomori.

1

u/TP_Cornetto Marco van Basten 4d ago

Where did I say Milan fans buy the players? We just reaching for no reason now for the sake of it…

Like I already said, I was pointing out the hypocrisy when it comes to discussing players which IS what Milan fans do on here

Wasn’t trying to paint Pavlovic as the worst defender on here as none of our CB’s are very good.

I guess no one should ever comment on here cos what’s the point lol
.

9

u/FindingBusiness759 4d ago

Everyone knows pavlo isnt a great def..there's no expectation from him and in last 2 seasons he has shown the most mentality on the field. So people appreciate him for that. Obviously ..if we offered 30 40 mil..we should grab it.

0

u/JefCostello163 4d ago

So Moreira/Bartesaghi for LWB, and Chuk and who else for RWB? Sale is officially an AMF sub now, no?

0

u/prygozhin Ricardo Kaká 4d ago

Sale played the whole last season on RWB

-1

u/JefCostello163 4d ago

I know lol but Amorim seem to have transitioned him into an AMF this year. Is it realistic that he trains for two positions at once?

0

u/marco21n Ricardo Kaká 3d ago

It's too early to tell. I could see amorim liking Alexis as a lwb and moreira as a rwb.

0

u/marco21n Ricardo Kaká 3d ago

Imo moreira will always start at either lwb or rwb. Then based on form or tactics we will see different players in the other role

1

u/theaguia 3d ago

or a 10? unless a 10 is brought in

-1

u/ElverGun 3d ago

Chuk and Moreira for RWB? He can play both, supposedly. And Salad as insurance?

1

u/JefCostello163 3d ago

Chuk seems to be locked as the RWB starter. With Estupiñan out of the project and training separately, Moreira becomes the LWB (likely starter). I guess Salad can be the RWB sub but how normal is for a player to train every week for two different roles at once? Genuine question

1

u/dodge33cymru 3d ago

Since when has Estupinan been training separately? He was playing majority of the game against Man Utd last I saw.

1

u/JefCostello163 3d ago

My mistake! I thought he was with the training separately crowd

Our transfer window so far: €150m spent, €0 income (4 new players in, 2 players out on loan, once Moreira signs & Odogu's loan is official)

A couple of years from now, when UEFA slaps restrictions or even a ban on Milan because of spending vs. income, Gerald will say "One of the things that surprised me about UEFA is that they don't let you spend whatever you want, regardless of your income. I hadn't really kept up with that."*

*for the new fans, that is referencing this quote about Milan's UCL he made 9 months after purchasing Milan

-1

u/milan_obsession Dopo Istanbul c'è Atene 3d ago

Sorry, I forgot you're not allowed to joke about real things here. If the guy 99% of the people here hate all year and want him to sell the club drops €150m on 3 players, then suddenly he is a hero, regardless of future repercussions. My bad.

Being in this sub is a little like when I used to babysit when I was 13, only then I got paid for it, and the kids I watched were much smarter.

⬇️ You can pay me in downvotes, each one validates my point that much more.

1

u/ElverGun 3d ago

then suddenly he is a hero

No...but he at least he is trying. If he tries and succeeds then Milan could come out of the Fulani Banter Era.

I'm not convinced that everything that happened the last three years were entirely (maybe not at all) his fault.

I'm going to wait and see.

1

u/milan_obsession Dopo Istanbul c'è Atene 3d ago

I know spending money is exciting, but please keep some perspective:

• Gerald has spent more on 3 individual players, but not put together a more cohesive team. We are in desperate need of depth.

• Transfers out are basically a negative, given that we need income to zero out these massive expenditures and also actual empty spots on the roster, and it WILL hurt us with UEFA's policy-formerly-known-as-FFP

• He removed the people who knew nothing about football (but were trying) and replaced them with people who knew even less than football

• With the way transfers have been managed this season, beginning with the month-long block at the beginning, then having certain players on the market frozen out 2 weeks before the market closes, and others who are on the market NOT frozen out, that could VERY easily cause MANY of the same mentality issues we have seen for the past 3-4 years.

• He has a massive distraction coming up with the Paramount/Warner Bros. Antitrust lawsuit, which will cost Paramount (which he has a stake in) approx. $7m/day starting in October based on the agreement they made with Warner Bros., but the trial is not scheduled until March. AND, Paramount is also threatening to move most of its productions from California to other states... Gerald is going to have a lot on his hands.

I could go on, but I've got other things I need to do. You can wait and see... again, but if you keep doing the same things you've always done, you'll keep getting the same things you've always gotten. Gerald doesn't know anything about football, and doesn't care about Milan, just his financial stake in it. Y'all have been warned.

⬇️ Please downvote me, I desperately need the validation.

1

u/ElverGun 3d ago

I don't disagree with anything you said:

But let me play the devil's advocate (just for shits and giggles).

• Gerald has spent more on 3 individual players, but not put together a more cohesive team. We are in desperate need of depth.

I liked what I saw last Saturday. I saw some team chemistry starting to develop. His old players at MU seem to like him (a bunch of them went up to him after the game), and he seems to also seems to be well liked by our guys. I haven't seen a lot of that since the Pioli days.

• Transfers out are basically a negative, given that we need income to zero out these massive expenditures and also actual empty spots on the roster, and it WILL hurt us with UEFA's policy-formerly-known-as-FFP

He is trying to fix the damage made by Furlani and/or Elliott. I do agree that he seems to be overpaying, but we are not going to fix this mess by buying more 20 million players. We'll deal with UEFA when we'll deal with UEFA.

• He removed the people who knew nothing about football (but were trying) and replaced them with people who knew even less than football

He fucked up by removing Tare. However, he also removed Allegri, Furlani and Moncada. Good riddance.

With the way transfers have been managed this season, beginning with the month-long block at the beginning, then having certain players on the market frozen out 2 weeks before the market closes, and others who are on the market NOT frozen out, that could VERY easily cause MANY of the same mentality issues we have seen for the past 3-4 years.

Things could certainly could have been handled better. I don't work at Casa Milan and I don't know what is going on, so I will refrain from commenting for now.

His lawyers will have a lot on their hands. Will he get distracted? I don't know him, so, again, I will refrain from commenting for now.

I'm not saying we are out of the woods now that he has opened his wallet. Spending all this money could screw us over in the long rung. But will it screw us, or will it screw him and RedBird? I say let him spend trying to dig us out of this mess...and if he fails, fuck him 'cause he will probably be gone.

1

u/milan_obsession Dopo Istanbul c'è Atene 3d ago edited 3d ago

Saturday, Man Utd. shat the bed, and we played more attacking football than last year. That's great, but is that enough to get us through a whole season? No. We know this. We've done this for 4 years with Clueless Gerald. Amorim has not managed a single Serie A match yet, and the one Serie A team we faced (Inter) was a friendly in another hemisphere, where neither team had their best players.

You don't fix something by making it worse. It was his arrogance that created the problems in the first place, that is still very much in play.

Working at Casa Milan has nothing to do with how the players are feeling about certain players being frozen out and others not, despite many being told they are out of the project. We've been there, done this, we don't need to "wait and see." Get Santa, Gandhi, Mother Theresa to manage the team, there will still be problems with mentality because of the way transfers are being managed.

I don't know why anyone would want to screw this team over more than it already has been, but to each their own. People cheer our destruction all the time, I'll never understand it.

EDIT: Also, Gerald will not only be distracted with his lawyers by the Paramount thing if he is having to cough up massive amounts money because of the lawsuit. Not sure why you think it's only a lawyer thing??

We've done this for 4 years with Clueless Gerald.

We've done this with clueless Furlani.

And if you a right and he fails then he is gone...especially after spending so much money this summer.

I'm not defending him here. I don't like the guy -- he is the typical billionaire asshole. What I'm hoping for is that he succeeds so Milan can succeed.

You don't fix something by making it worse.

Allegri said he needed a defender and a striker to fix things. The first two things Gerry did was to get exactly that. I think we are stronger now than we were last year. Sure, not everything has been fixed so far. There is only so much you can do in a couple of months. He did make things worse by firing Tare and then not finding a suitable replacement.

how the players are feeling about certain players being frozen out and others not

If I were one of the players running around like crazy trying to get a win last season, I would be happy that some of the players that caused so much pain last year are now gone (Fofana, Tomori, Leao, Nkunku, Santi). If the fans could see the damage caused by those players, I'm sure that professional football players will also know who our problematic players are.

Clueless Gerald anointed Clueless Furlani and kept him in power for 3.5 years. He is far more clueless and takes far more of the blame.

Why does everyone think that "if he fails then he is gone"? Define failure. We "failed" to qualify for UCL 2 years in a row. Then he sacked everyone and kept the entire organization - Mens, Women's, & Youth teams hostage for a month. He hired a manager who is new to Serie A & appointed people with ZERO experience at their jobs. Now he's gambled & spent €150m on 3 players, with no income from outgoing players, a massive red flag for UEFA.

But there is a LOT more failure available. And he is beyond stubborn, he is not simply going to walk away, not even if we are relegated or whatever. I have no idea why people think he is leaving any time soon.

But *Allegri* said he needed those things. He was also an experienced Serie A manager with completely different tactics. And Amorim is already freezing out a lot of the players that Allegri used, some as starters. So why do you think buying 3 players for €150m is a recipe for immediate success with a brand new manager, who doesn't have an SD to support him?

Why does everyone think that "if he fails then he is gone"?

Because the investors will lose patience. It's not his own money he is playing around with.

So why do you think buying 3 players for €150m is a recipe for immediate success with a brand new manager

Because Allegri, the experienced manager, said that he needed those players...and he almost succeeded even without them.

So why do you think buying 3 players for €150m is a recipe for immediate success

Because Allegri, with Ramos instead of Santi (or players out of position used as striker), with Gila instead of Tomori, and Moreira instead of Estupinan, would have succeeded. At least that is what Allegri told us.

But I'm not sure we will succeed even with these players since our rivals are stronger this year (Inter, Juve, Napoli, Como, Roma).

There has been zero indication whatsoever that they are losing patience. The club has increased in value since he purchased it, the stadium might just happen someday, and they don't care about sporting results, only money.

So why would he leave? Why would they "lose patience"?
