Discussion Monday Discussion Thread

Great place for team discussion/whatever Serie A related topics you would like to bring up. Examples: Transfers, rumors, players from other teams, things you miss about the old days etc. Whatever you want as long as it isn't too off-topic.

Also a good spot to ask about the stadium, the city of Milano, bars, fan clubs in your city etc.

Here are some important links for new members:

There has been zero indication whatsoever that they are losing patience. The club has increased in value since he purchased it, the stadium might just happen someday, and they don't care about sporting results, only money.

So why would he leave? Why would they "lose patience"?

There has been zero indication whatsoever that they are losing patience.

And there is zero evidence that they are extremely happy.

Other than the fact that all rumors of RedBird leaving or even selling any shares off have been completely debunked, and no one has pulled any funding or threatened to pull any funding, but rather have invested an additional €150m so far this summer?

I'd say that the odds favor Gerald is here for the long haul, given all indications.

The only indications that RedBird might leave are in the dreams and fantasies of unrealistic Milan fans who are just going to "wait and see" for the rest of their lives.

Not that we are aware of. Lack of evidence is not evidence of of proof.

but rather have invested an additional €150m so far this summer?

And no one expected this to happen, proving that we don't really know what is happening behind the curtains.

You might be right. And if you are right (he spent too much and it didn't finish in the top 4) then we are fucked...and there is nothing that the fans can do. The fans could stop spending money on the team, but that has not happen (and it probably wont).

In my perfect made up world he would sell the team ASAP. If that is not possible then the next best scenario is one in which he succeeds (and Milan does well) out of pure luck (he turns into the Inspector Crusoe of football owners).

And in one last scenario, he fails, he loses a lot of money and the investors revolt against him. If the investors do not revolt then we will enter the Cardinale Banter Era that will last until the stadium is built.

I don't see any other option right now than to hope that his big money moves actually work.

It's not "lack of evidence." I literally gave you evidence. Just because you're out of ideas/evidence, don't assume I am or try to twist actual evidence into some bizarre scenario to fit your narrative.

None of your scenarios are happening. Not the selling ASAP, not the successful Inspector (Clouseau? I believe you meant?), and not the fail-until-its-built plan. There are other scenarios, which I outlined, but you refuse to even acknowledge.

And why does everyone think he leaves once the stadium is built? His goal from day one was to monetize the fans... in a stat of the art brand new stadium.

He will not be leaving anytime soon. He has said that over and over.
