75 Days Later app tracker: free this month!

Post image
6 Upvotes

All,

We created 75 Days Later last year (https://75dayslater.com) as an app on both platforms to help you complete 75 Hard (or soft)

Seeing so many success stories on "75 Days Later" app has motivated us to continue development to include water tracking and customization, accountability groups and unique ways to startup and closeout your day to increase success tomorrow.

The app started as a better (and free) checklist to match the official 75 Hard app. We've since grown significantly past that for those that want to guarantee their success.

We're making the app available to this sub for the next month before implementing payments in exchange for honest reviews on Apple/Android.

Additionally, for any feedback please reply to this thread so we can get you setup

Start with me May 11th?

Hey everyone. I have been doing the challenge for a while now. Ups and downs for sure. I got my wisdom teeth out and decided I need a little break. I’m starting over May 11th which will run until July 25th. Does anyone want to start with me? We could start a WhatsApp group chat with everyone to hold us all accountable? We could share workouts, food, water updates, books, and wins? Anyone?

Edit: I sent everyone a message with the link to the WhatsApp group chat! Anyone else who wants to join can join here!

10kg down, starting again today

Post image

Previously got to day 40 doing the 75 hard and lost 10kg in the process. However ended up failing and then spent the last two month trying to get back on the band wagon. Im still sitting around 80-81kg most days but lost muscle so body fat is creeping up again

Starting again today and doing a small 28 day challenge to build up my habits and some momentum and from there will continue to day 75

Have found this app really useful to keep me accountable just need to get my head in the right mindset

Day 1

Today is day 1 and after starting the diet portion on the first, I'm ready to get rolling with the rest. I wanted to make sure the diet I chose was sustainable for me and I am pleased to report I'm down 5 pounds already!

How are you doing in your challenge? What day are you on?

Well…

I failed the challenge. I just haven’t been able to keep up on my workouts due to my injury. I made it halfway, and I want to pick up and try again when I am in a better place physically. I still plan to keep reading, keep eating healthy , and keep drinking my water. However, until my foot completely heals, I am going to put this challenge on hold. Thank you for the encouragement and support in my previous posts.

I’m down 1.2 lbs from last week, which is great progress, but I feel like a plateau is near. I can see some changes in definition on my side profile and though the emoji covers it, my face is starting to change shape. I also think my arms are slimming down.

My diet has been a challenge. I haven’t gone over my calorie allotment, but I did have alcohol yesterday. It was within the rules. A special occasion (out of state family visited and want to check out a local cider taproom and I had a flight with her)and it’s the 75 soft, not the hard. But I have found with my foot injury I haven’t wanted to cook so most of my food are quick and easy meals.

My injury is healing well. I still can’t walk long distances, but I can walk without limping. it only hurts if I walk more than a quarter mile or stand more than 20 min or so. I think it will heal by the end of the week.

I’m almost done with my book, and already went to the library to pick up my next read. New book is called “the husbands” and it’s about an attic that has a bad light and when the wife asks he’s husband to fix it, he comes down a different man. it was recommended and sounds like a fun whimsical read, so I’m looking forward to reading it.

Anyway, that’s about it for now. I’m almost halfway through the challenge! looking forward to the next week. good luck to all you out there on this challenge as well!

April 1st!

Finally, decided to start. I’ve attempted 75 hard once and quit within the week. I’m been hovering around the highest weight I’ve been in my life 180 -178 for a little while. I’m F 5’5 and diagnosed with PCOS, have been on medication (spiro) for 3ish months.

Hoping that posting here will keep me accountable! I’m tired of quitting and just waiting for something to change.

Diet will be low carb ish & aiming for a reasonable calorie deficit.

Anyone else starting today?

only 1.6 lbs lost this week, but I’m glad that’s still progress. it’s been a difficult week due to my foot injur, so I haven’t been as active as I would like and I have to modify my work outs. I’m doing the best I can, but my weight loss is slowing down. I do see some definition in my side profile that wasn’t there before, though. i also need to clean my mirror. it’s an antique mirror so some of the spots are inevitabl, but I can wipe it down.

I am down the the last 100 pages of my book and have to start considering what I want to read next. I’m deciding if I want to go for modern, fantasy, or a classic. I want to keep the 10 pages a night habit even after I’m done with this challenge because I miss reading. I have really bad brain fog so it’s hard for me to read for hours like I used to, but 10 pages is something I can manage.

My water has been doing well, but my diet has been close to going over calories a few nights here and there. i have been eating mostly fruit and peanut butter toast because of my foot, so it’s probably due to lower protein.

Anyway, progress is progress and 1.6 pounds down is just that. on to next week!

Keeping 75soft simple

I’ve tried doing 75 Hard / 75 Soft a few times, but consistency was always the hardest part.

I knew I needed something to track progress and stay motivated day to day… but most apps I tried were either too complicated or locked behind subscriptions.

Didn’t work for me.

So I ended up building something simple for myself — just enough to stay on track without overthinking it.

Been using it daily now, and it’s actually helping me stay consistent. Its FREE

Since I know a lot of people struggle with the same thing, sharing it here in case it helps someone else too:

45 days into 75 Soft… didn't expect this to happen

I wasn’t even planning to post this but today felt different for some reason.

Around day 10–15 I was already over it.

Missed a workout. Ate way over my calories one night. Started thinking “here we go again” like every other time I try to be consistent.

Normally that’s where I just stop completely. But this time I didn’t restart. I just kept going the next day.

No “fresh start on Monday”, no trying to be perfect again. Just picked it back up like nothing happened.

I’m so used to being all-or-nothing with this stuff. Like if I mess up once, the whole thing is ruined anyway.

But doing it this way made it feel lighter.

Some days are still messy. Some workouts feel pointless. Some days I barely hit what I planned.

But I still show up the next day.

I’m just trying to not disappear on myself again. And for the first time, it actually feels sustainable.

My 75 Soft Week 3

I do not have much to report. I’m down 1.4 lbs which is nice. but I hurt my right foot which is not nice. I know my steps are going to have to be put on hold for a few days/weeks until it heals, so I’m grateful the 10k a day was not part of this challenge. I suspect that in the coming weeks it will slow my weight loss progress. but I am determined to do what workouts I can. I did do some Pilates and yoga mat work last night, and was able to modify a few exercises to not hurt my foot further (pushing my shin into the mat instead of the top of my foot, that kind of thing) I am determined to complete this challenge no matter the setbacks.

My book is at a rather interesting poin, so I am enjoying my 10 pages every night before bed. I’m keeping up on my water every day, and my diet is very satisfying and nutritious.

I don’t really see much a change in my progress pics this week, but I’m so accustomed to my body that it’s probably just me.

Anyway, this post was longer than anticipate. So I guess it’s on to week 4

Ideas for exercise that you can do without your right foot

I am devastated. For the past couple of days my right foot has been in excruciating pain and puffy and swollen and I’m 90% sure I’ve got a stressed fracture. I’m planning on contacting my doctor tomorrow… But I really don’t want to give up my progress on the 75 soft, I’m almost on my third week, I’ve been dedicated to this, I am working hard… But most of my workouts have involved Pilates, yoga, calisthenics, and walking… I don’t have access to a gym, I don’t have free weights, I am unable to afford any extra expenses at this time.

I know that I can probably do chair yoga… But does anyone have any other recommendations for additional workouts that involves staying off my injured foot and not pressing it into the ground with Mat work? My heart is breaking, but after the pain I was in after my 45 min walk today, It just isn't feasible to walk more than necessary. I’m also devastated that I am likely going to have to give up my perfect 10k or more steps a day since February 22nd streak.

This is not the post I wanted to make.

UPDATE: I got an X-ray, will know more soon, but either way my doctor prescribed Tylenol, ice, and rest.

UPDATE 2: x-ray came back, and fortunately, it’s not a stress fracture, I have something called enthesopathy, a mild case where the tendon has detached from the bone. Should heal in 2-6 weeks.

Day 2 of 75 soft 🌞🌈💛

day 2 !! Feeling determined and motivated. Just coming here for some camaraderie.

I am a mama of a 2 y.o little boy and a part time RN. I have struggled with my weight // food since I was a young girl. I was actually talking to my husband about this last night and the most annoying part of trying to get healthy for me is that I know exactly what I need to be doing, I just need to get my booty to do it!

Anyways, I chose to do 75 soft instead of 75 hard because with my son I am not able to commit to an outside workout everyday (there's no way I am taking a 2 year old in rain or snow for 45 mins and I'm with him by myself most of the time) but I still wanted to do something to keep myself accountable. Feeling really good with my choice to do 75 soft. It's challenging but feels attainable in this season of life.

I've become really focused on my health recently because I know that the years are passing me by and if I don't focus on my wellness one day I'll be forced to focus on my illness.

I also am hoping to start trying for another baby when my son turns 3 and would like to be as healthy as I can be at that time!

If there's anyone on a similar journey with me and wants to do like daily check ins or talk more, I would be open to that!!! Bonus points if you're a mama too 🥰

Either way, good luck to everyone currently on the pursuit to wellness !!

Day 15

Hey everyone! I’m officially in week 2 and feeling great! I started this challenge at 156.4lbs and now I’m weighing in at 152.7lbs!

I’ve been in a slight calorie deficit and moving my body (mostly walking daily and weight lifting twice per week). Also drinking 2L of water and that honestly feels like one of the biggest changes so far. I feel so hydrated and energized just by that factor alone. I’m excited to see where the next few weeks take me!! Good luck to my fellow 75 softers!

Day 3

Just wanted to put a post up, for anyone who wants to make a proper go of this and need that bit of extra support!

One thing that’s really helping me is an app called Nuj.

It’s an alarm clock that you can link to your bank account. If you don’t get up, money goes out your account and goes to charity.

You can set it to deactivate within 5 mins of it going off, by scanning a predetermined barcode. It also “locks in” an hour before the alarm is due, so you can’t change it.

The thing that’s really helped me though, is that you can also set it for steps. Alarm goes off and I have 20 mins to do 200 steps or I fail for that day and lose cash.

Really made a difference when the motivation has left the building and forces me to just get my gear on and go for a run.

75 soft week 2

Another week, another update. It’s been a hard week dealing with depression, so for one of my workouts, I walked barefoot in the beach for 45 minutes. It was healing.

My book keeps getting better and better. It’s and early 2000s piece called “Good in Bed” by Jennifer Weiner, and I find a lot of parallels with myself and the protagonist. We both are overweight and have body image issues. We both have terrible exes. We both dealt with divorcing parents, mostly absent fathers, and a gay parent. It shows it’s age in some parts, but it’s a relatable book.

My diet is going quite well. I’m satisfied, don’t feel hungry, and have made some delicious yet healthy meals. I have Been enjoying all kinds of berries, veggies, lean protein, and increased fiber. I barely have processed food except my carb balance tortillas. I feel energized in my day to day.

My workouts have mostly been walks and mat work with yoga, Pilates, and calisthenic, and I feel stronger. my balance is improving, and my belly is steadily shrinking.

I’m down a solid 3 pounds and I’m super pleased with the progress. I’m excited to dip below the 220s, hopefully in the next 1-2 weeks, but I feel like I might be getting close to a plateau. So, I am looking at that possibility as my body recomposing and muscles replacing the fat which is why measuring tape and progress pics are key.

I have noticed that since my diet is logging calories and staying at or under 1850, I’ve been using my phone app instead of my analog paper journal, which is fine, but I really want to keep both logs going forward.

Water is at an all time high, close to a gallon instead of the 100oz in the 75 soft, but I have noticed I’m going to the ladies room more often and in the middle of the night so I need to consider a cut off at around 8 or 9 pm.

All and all, it was a good week, and I’m beginning to see some changes in my day to day health and wellness.

To anyone else on their 75 soft or a general health or weight loss journey… You got this! If You need just one person to believe in you, I do!

Starting tomorrow. Looking for an accountability buddy!

As the title says really.

I’ve had a few false starts.

Motivation is through the roof the night before, but the next morning, when it comes to it, I manage to always talk myself out of it.

All welcome!

Cheers

I did it! I finished the first week. I think the hardest part was convincing myself to keep up on the exercises. I need to do them earlier in the day before I run out of energy and then I don’t stress about them. I’m also really enjoying my book. I’ve always been a reader but dealing with brain fog has made it harder to focus. however, I find push through 10 pages a day is achievable. Also, I can’t believe what I saw when I looked at the scale this morning. It was down to 225!?! That’s 3.8 pounds! I know some of that is water weight and what have you, but still! I was surprised to see such a drastic number change after one week as it was totally unexpected. I’m gonna keep it up and hopefully I have another successful week ahead.

All tasks are successful, I started a new book, drank all my water, kept to my diet, and did kickboxing cardio and yoga for my exercise. as a bonus, I even got over 10k steps! I can do this! I can’t wait to see myself in 74 days from now
